If those vampires are immortal, that mean they can't die, so why don't we capture them and put them to some good use like... uh... say, send them to Iraq and Pakistan! That will end the War on Terror once and for all!

Will dicks like you stop making stupid threads?

It depends on what you like. I don't like Twilight, but it's aimed at teenage girls so I shouldn't. I also doubt most of you can comment, as none of you have read the books. I haven't either, mainly because I could be doing more worthwhile things like watching paint dry. At least you don't see me moaning about it.

You do realise a bunch of teenage girls will probally be thinking the same about some of your people's beloved 360's and PS3's, right?
Yeah, but the difference is that we don't go around beating seven shades of shit out of them when they badmouth our consoles. Have a quick browse through here: http://twilightsucks.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fangirls

Vampires die when the sun hits them. They do not sparkle. What the fuck was the author thinking?
They only sparkle if they're sired in San Fransisco...and if they were, there better be a freakin' lisp when they speak! >.>

It won't die. Seriously, I can use all of my superior AP-intellect to try to kill this book and it won't work...

The best I can get: "Well, it's just a fun book not an intellectual property."
The worst: "You just can't admit that Twilight is beyond you."

You know, the book only ever got average reviews. If you wanna beat 'em down, use stuff they can't refuse. You know, like how Ms. Meyer overuses adjectives and adverbs to bolster dialog. Or bring along a professional review.

Fangirls never die, but some can be saved.

I couldn't agree more, although I think it's kidna pointless to start this topic. All your doing is feeding it. If everyone just shut up about it, it would go away. xP

Well, I am thankfully not part of it myself, but teen girls tend to work in a hive mind sorta way. This is why boybands were popular, this is why teen idols exist, this is why Uggz are worn and owned by 8/10 teen girls (and the occasional gay guy), and this is why Twilight is popular. I just strive by remembering "what is popular is not always good" and that can apply to anything. Games, bands, movies, people, governments, ideologies, religions, e.t.c.

Just thought I'd throw this in here, it's from Wikipedia:

In an interview with USA Weekend's Brian Truitt, Stephen King stated, "the real difference [between Rowling and Meyer] is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer, and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good."[46]

It will die, eventually, everything does giving time.

In the mean time, just live and let live. You dont like it, but people does, BIG DEAL.

Why does everyone you dont like something popular must create thread like this? To surrounding themself with people who think like them so they dont feel alone in this big world? To trying to say that they are right in they OWN PERSONNAL TASTES and everyone who dont think like them are wrong?

for your information, I didnt read the book and I didnt see the movie and I dont care about it.

I'm angry and need to vent ,this thread is inspirated by my 19 year old (Admittedly Gay) friend who want shut up the different tastes arguement is a cop out as although people have different tastes that doesn't explain why something so terrible has such a devoted fan base.

Of course it won't. Everything is awesome when you're shiny like the Cullen family. Besides, it's totally the most realistic Vampire novel/film series ever created! Everyone knows vampires don't mind a bit of sun every now and then. It makes them even more shiny! And that makes them even more awesome! I heard Edward Cullen used to donate skin that had fallen off his face (after a good sunbathe) to diamond cutters in Belgium. That's why the diamonds that came out of Antwerp were of such high quality. They would melt down his shiny skin and turn it into cutting tools to shape their diamonds with. Of course that was the old days. It's all lasers and computer programs now. Poor Eddie Cullen... That's why he went back to school. Damn you economic crisis! How could you put such an innocent...

Ok I'm done.

I agree... Twilight should lie down in a gutter somewhere to sad music and die like the Elephant Man.

Twilight would be an...and I shudder when I say this... an 'okay' series, if not for the fact that the author acts just like a bad fan-fiction writer and breaks her own damn rules. A key rule of the literary world is that if you make a rule for your world... follow it. In the books, according to my friends who've read the books, Vampires are supposed to be unable to make sperm or eggs.. as they are undead/infected/sparkly. The Mormon Princess of Fangirls, Stephanie Meyer, decides to break the rules of her own book and makes Perfect Eddy, knock up Mary-su...I mean Bella. How in the world did he manage that?

It has no artistic quality, it will die eventualy.
No matter how much I try it, i can´t possibly see twilight becoming the Mozart of the 21st century.

I hope it happens fast, though.
Vampires that glitter in the dark, did i just hear Dracula turn himself in his coffin?

I don't think you should underestimate the power [stupidity?] of a horde of socially retarded teens and their mothers.

The story had the narrative potential to be good, except the author turned it into soft-porn for teens with a splash of paedophilia.
