the thing is, fads dont die, they go into hiding for 10 years, and then punch you in the face with enough force to kill a rampaging elephant. like how pokemon died off for a while, but basically has come back. Twilight will last until the publishing companies stop making money off of it. Vampires do not sparkle in sunlight, but they dont burn in it either (that is just a result of the discovery of the vampire bat in the americas and the stories arriving in europe). real vampires rank higher in mass murder then almost every killer excluding those who worked on the manhatten project (props to figuring out how to turn cities into nuclear ash in a matter of seconds).

I don't mind the books and such, because I have never read/watched them. However, I wish that all the freaking girls would quit SCREECHING about it, because it seriously just makes me want to gouge their eyes out!

You know, the book only ever got average reviews. If you wanna beat 'em down, use stuff they can't refuse. You know, like how Ms. Meyer overuses adjectives and adverbs to bolster dialog. Or bring along a professional review.

Just trying to get a little entertainment no need to be so hostile. I know not the most intelligent thread but it got people posting its only for fun it will be washed over soon enough. I,ve read some funny posts and laughed.

I'm always amazed how passionate people get over such insignificant things. I never know what to do with myself. I mostly laff about it.
Twilight was weak, but it is not a vampire series written for men. Its a love story that happens to have Vampires in it.
Its written for women. Its has more plot. The reader is allowed a more intimate relationship with the protaganist because the average reader can relate to her directly.
Most Twilight Fans didnt like the movie, but those people still enjoyed the books.
I thought the movie was ok. It was entertaining and the characters were enjoyable. Nothing more nothing less. Another cult classic, but the same can be said for the first Harry Potter. It was so aimed at its core audience that it sucked a little, but as the series, of movies, progressed it got better. I quite enjoy the harry potter movies now, and bette understand the original more in retrospect.
Everyone is allowed an opinion, but in order to believe that u must listen to everyones opinion critically not judge-mentally.

First i heard of Twilight my reaction was 'lol wut?'

Then i read a bit more... And anger grew, anger and sheer 'WTF?'

I STILL cannot get over how bad the writing is. I read two chapters on a bet, threw down the book in disgust and paid my friend the $50 i bet him that i could read the whole book without throwing up.

As Stephen King once said, 'the writer of Twilight cant write worth a darn.'



Like thriller to zombies, this is the vampire's most embarrassing pop culture moment. They'll go underground for about ten years then resurface in the limelight of decency again.
