"Noob" and "tanky"
I've only ever heard "tanky" used by people who play League of Legends and "noob" doesn't really bother me but the way it's used does.

Anyone who uses drug-related names (or the marijuana related callsigns in MW2). It's incredibly stupid.

Why does tanky annoy you (or rather, make you cringe)?

It irks me when people use the term "rolled" to describe the process of making a character in RPG games:

"I've rolled a Paladin for this playthrough."

You haven't rolled anything, this isn't D&D! No dice were involved, just say you made a Paladin, or chose to be a Paladin or something. On a similar note, the use of the word "Toon" when referring to their character. Gah.

"BK" (Bad Kid). Back when I was massively into Halo, this word was the word of choice among MLG players and wannabes. Using the term "BK" pretty much signified your lack of a life outside Halo and/or immaturity regarding online gaming.

Just to let you guys know, a long rant is about to ensue. Don't really know if anyone's gonna read this, as it's gonna be on page 9, but I got on a tangent, dammit.

I hate the word "superior". It's mainly due to the fact that I hear shit like "Oh, ___ is CLEARLY the superior game" or "____ is CLEARLY the superior platform." To me, it just makes me feel like someone's trying to lord over someone else.

In that vein, it annoys the fuck out of me when people try to claim that one system is better than another, because of ____ reason. I'm in the FIRM belief that they all have their own strengths and weaknesses that make them all in equal footing.

Another thing is "immersion." I don't feel the need to be totally engrossed in the game I'm in, so I feel like that's actually me riding that horse to go fight that dragon. I know what they mean, like by trying to get into the game, it just annoys me when it seems like all they care about is trying to mentally be that character.

Any form of "this game is shit." It hurts my head whenever I see that phrase, because it just makes me head desk so hard. I've seen that thrown around for so many games, all of which were not bad at all. Not to not to mention when it's thrown around as fact, rather than opinion. I'll more likely take one's opinion into view if they said something like "I don't think this game is very good" more than "this game is shit."

Any form of "This game has bad graphics" or, "this game needs better graphics." Yeah, once again, I see the point in this one. Someone would want their game to look good, especially if they were to be staring at it for hours on end. But to me, it seems like they want it to look totally realistic. Newsflash, games weren't meant to be totally realistic, they were meant to let you escape the world! If a game is too realistic, it'll saddle it's ass right into the Uncanny Valley.

"LOL" or "Lawl" or anything of that ilk not in type form, and not in some sort of informal thing.

"Dumbed down" See, this one is a bit hypocritical, because I see Saints Row 3 as being dumbed down from SR2, but I hate it when it makes people hate on sequels just because of it.

"Console Port" "PC port" ect. See the console war section.

"Trolling" and any action associated with it. I figure this world is ass enough without people acting like fuckheads to each other, and ruining other's fun.

Any form of terrible spelling. If you are going to speak the language, learn how it works.

For that matter, intentional misspellings piss me off the most, like "U" or "ur".

"Tryhard" and "Nolifer". Just attempts at trying to regain lost pride for getting your ass handed to you by someone who's just better.

Any form of trying to undermine someone by inferring that you're older than them, and therefore obviously much better because age.

Any form of a female letting everyone know they're a chick and therefor must be treated better. I've met girls who're pretty cool online, but it always grinds my gears (sorry for the Family Guy reference) when I get one that's like "GO EASY ON ME BOYS!"

And for that matter, all of the shit like "Go make me a sandwich" or "Go back to the kitchen" is not funny guys, and it never has, nor it never will be. It just makes our gender look like sexist idiots.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I don't play this game all the time I have a life." Well, so do all of us that play it. You're just mad that you get beaten, and want to try to belittle the victors.

And since I'm at the bottom of my post, one of the things I hate the most is "TL;DR". If you're too stupid/lazy to read something someone obviously put a lot of work into writing, then don't bother to comment.

One last thing, also not really a "word" per se, but PC elitists who feel the need to tout their superiority for having a $3000 machine. Look, I get it, your rig won't be obsolete until after the next console gen comes out because you went so far into overkill territory that you've got power to spare because there isn't a single damn game that will be released this generation that will take advantage of your hardware, but don't start shoving your smug ego down everyone else's throats, especially when those other people primarily like to game on the PC too.
I was going to post my dislike of people who use the term "PC gaming master race", mostly for the reason you mentioned, but also because:
1-They seem to have forgotten that the Nazis (The ones who popularized the phrase and the first thing people think of when they hear "master race") were the bad guys. I hate to invoke Godwin's, but what else are we supposed to think of with that phrasing?
2-They believe that since they have to concern themselves with system specs and whatnot, anyone who plays a console knows nothing of technology and are a bunch of idiots with a My First Gaming Platform toy.
3-As a result, they tend towards being insufferably smug whenever something bad happens to console games. For instance, once PSN got hacked and XBox Live was at risk a bunch of people were commenting "This would never happen ON STEAM! DID I MENTION I USE A PC TO GAME?"
4-Whenever a game dares to be exclusive to consoles, they ***** and whine about it endlessly, but gloat about any game that happens to be PC exlusive.

This isn't directed at all PC gamers, since I am one myself, but it's people who believe themselves to be "better" gamers than everyone else solely because they play games in a different way to other people who give the rest of us a bad name.
I also agree with these two people, in full.

WE'RE GOING TOO LOOSE!

Or similar. Seriously, get your heads out of your asses, people who can't spell.
Oh have you been playing League of Legends by any chance? Every damn game someone can't spell "lose" XP

OT: "Lucker" in LoL. Fuck off. Near nothing in that game is decided by luck, you make a sweet turret dive for the kill? Nope, they call luck. You pop all your Summoner Spells, buffs and juking maneuvers to escape a full team gank? Lol jk luck.

I'd even say most luck based things are bad luck... Like when I used Pantheon's Grand Skyfall (he leaps into the air and lands somewhere else on the map) to make a sweet getaway from a teamfight gone wrong only to land right on top of a full health Jungle Warick who was on his way to their Blue Buff.

So funny though. The chat went freaking wild.

I can't decided whether I like the word "salty" in relation to fighting games. I know that feeling salty is a feeling that seems to be almost unique to fighting games...

"If only I hadn't dropped my combo!"

"If only i'd have removed Parasoul from the equasion when I had the chance!"

"If only Wesker wasn't an overpowered dickbag!"

The what-ifs, the could-have-beens and the cheap ass bullshit all combined into one word: Salt.

Itemized for convenience. Everyone has probably seen these in this twice thrice over at least, but fuck it. This is a personal list.

Never in my life would I have thought that this word would piss me off so much.

Oh yes, the product or service is immune to criticism now. Why? Because if it didn't meet my expectations for the price, I'm acting "entitled" and am therefore wrong by default.

What? WHAT? WHAT KIND OF FUCKING SENSE DOES THAT MAKE?!

This argument is the antithesis to the economic process.
If we're just dismissing the perceived value of a product outright on the basis of avoiding "entitlement", then why bother evaluating the product at all? (this extends to the total value of the product; meaning the amount of content for its cost and the quality of said content)

The whole argument amounts to "Just take your pellet and shut up. This is as good a deal as you're going to get." Utter nonsense..

Used in the context of proving/disproving Video Games as having the capacity for being "art". It's pretentious garbage usually guttered out by someone who thinks far too highly of their own opinion, and not so highly of real life facts.
The argument is typically followed by some sort of bullshit arbitrary set of rules for 'art' that suits their twisted logic.
Tends to follow the "No True Scotsman" fallacy.

Just because most people who sling this phrase around won't commit to it. I've kept my "boycotts" of Sony and EA for years now (Sony being more recent, admittedly).
If you want a company to pay for the sins you accuse it of, then fucking COMMIT.
Don't flip flop on the subject unless you're absolutely willing to forgive. If you want companies to not play you like a fiddle, sack up and keep them honest.

These are blurbs that companies pay unimportant journalists to say so they can use them in advertising. They say absolutely nothing. Please don't parrot them, and please don't overhype the game for them.
(I suffered through plenty of this during the Halo: Reach and Skyrim ad campaigns.)

Keep this word locked in its sepulcher. Toons describe "World of Warcraft" characters. Fine. IT DOES NOT describe everything else!

There are other buzzwords and mannerisms that irritate me:
General speech and slang, dysphemisms (gay, rape..)

Though more recently/topically, I present:

"Textese": 'u, ur'
Really? You can't even spare the 2 milliseconds it takes to push the two extra characters?

you your you're

It took me less than 2 seconds to type those three words above.
For a generation that's grown up using keyboards, we sure do suck at typing full words out!

"Rape"

It doesn't *offend* me per se, but it does make me very uncomfortable. Especially when it's otherwise lovely people like my boyfriend using it. It's the one word I call him out for using.

And as far as forums are concerned... "strawman", "ad hominem" etc. Yes, well done, I can read the rhetoric pages on Wikipedia too. Now stop trying to make yourself look more intelligent than you are and respond to the other person's points. You can call them out on using those techniques without sounding like you swallowed the dictionary or we're in an academic paper. It's just pretentious.

Admittedly that last one probably wouldn't bug me quite as much if it wasn't so damn common.

Translates roughly to:

"You're not *angry*, you're just a loser."

(And consider that the source is someone who felt it was worth his time to troll a gaming forum meta bitching about people.)
Also this.

Noob and casual, when they're being used as insults.

gay and rape, when being used to describe a situation
