All my friends are World Cup nuts and I have it on good authority that Holland are the team to root for? So, I'm going with them, although I normally say I support Italy just so people don't look at me like I have two heads for not watching "The Great Game".

To bad this isn't as popular in the US. I know its huge in Seattle though. Our local FC started last year and have been setting atttendance records ever since.
Thank you!

I also found this:

I love the World Cup and look forward to watching it. I recently watched USA and Australia go head-to-head which was a good game. Now USA has to go up against England but without Beckham!

Also, Groups F and G are NASTY. Go Italia!
Beckham's a has been, too busy posing for perfume ads with Yoko!
Still good from technical aspect, but Lennon or Wright-Phillips have more pace and to me are better options for the wings.
The game tomorrow is going to be great. I hope USA can take England down but it is going to be tough.

In other World Cup craziness, what abut Group G? Brazil and Portugal in the same group? Amazing!

Yes, I quite enjoyed watching your fans last night.

I'm hoping France gets knocked out early so everyone shuts up about it over here. They take their football and rugby way too seriously in France.

We don't match up well with them, but you play who is in front of you. Disciplined and focus, keep it tight and who knows, a shocker might just happen.

Ivory Coast as well, if Drogba gets healthy best group in tournament (poor North Korea)

The world cup has stolen my television, severely impairing my xbox time... And I don't follow football, even slightly. Although a group of friends decided to run a sweepstake, and I drew Italy. So, since I'll get £25 if they win, go Italy!

A)Nobody else will
B) It's ironic, AND BEING IRONIC IS REALLY FUCKING COOL! /sarcasm

I think it will be a Spain/Brazil final and Spain to win 2-1. Though I hope South Africa do well.

[small]As I type this Mexico just equalised. Nuts. :([/small]

1-1 now, ten minutes left, will the match swing one way or the other?

Tense moments now for South Africa.

They're actually a pretty good team, and it's funny to have the US as underdogs in something :D
