I'm very pumped about it, just like everyone else here in Germany seems to be. Normally I don't care about football, but this is different.

Oh, and Germany will win ;)
If Australia wins tomorrow, I'll name my firstborn Fritz.

Think you could pull a few strings?

England does what it does best...fail. Hehehehhehe. ^^

Anyway I'm going to root for Spain and Argentina. I despise Portugal commanded by Queiroz this World Cup, watching Portugal playing is just painful. Our midfield is composed of really poor players in really bad form. Not to mention that a-hole of a coach calls players that spent almost all season injured,(Pepe? Really...) hoping that they will recover magically, even though they been months without playing.

Who's psyched?

I love the World Cup, have since I was a little fella watching Gascoine, Schillichi, Maradona and Cascarino...

I'm hoping for a win from Spain or Holland, I enjoy both those teams. I also hope France get knocked out early and Thierri Henri gets booed off the pitch (apologies French Escapists... Irish man here, I still love your country)

So who are the Escapists rooting for?

Who do you want to win? Who do you want to make an early exit?

Will the South African team do well? And will thier fans ever stop blowing those feckin' horns?
Ha, putting Cascarino in the same breath as Maradona ... those were the glory days of Irish football.

I want to see Australia win - my girlfriend is from Sydney and has commandeered the TV for their group games.

She must be pretty frustrated right now... those Germans are damn impressive!

Critical mistake by Schwarzer pretty much broke the Australians - not a lucky World Cup for goalkeepers, is it?
EDIT: And there goes the red card. Fucking hell.

What the hell is with that ref man?

No way that should have been a red card, disgraceful.

Red Card was more than unnecessary.
Still best match in this World Cup so far.

Well, yeah. I don't think it's that bad of a mistake, but, yeah, that wasn't a red card.
Without Cahill, I really don't see Australia putting up a fight.
Where's Kewell, where's Viduka? Eh.

EDIT: Sorry, I just hate Ronaldo

Here goes the third goal.
Poor Australia's done.
Great play by Muller, I really like the guy today.
Germany's kinda awesome.
EDIT: Owie. The fourth one.
Australia doesn't deserve this.

Spain?
Or Brazil?
I'm quite sure they can take Brazil.

I love the World Cup and look forward to watching it. I recently watched USA and Australia go head-to-head which was a good game. Now USA has to go up against England but without Beckham!

Also, Groups F and G are NASTY. Go Italia!
Beckham's a has been, too busy posing for perfume ads with Yoko!
Still good from technical aspect, but Lennon or Wright-Phillips have more pace and to me are better options for the wings.
The game tomorrow is going to be great. I hope USA can take England down but it is going to be tough.

In other World Cup craziness, what abut Group G? Brazil and Portugal in the same group? Amazing!
Firstly don't write off Ivory Coast. If you just look at the build of every single African player it's scary, those shoulders.

What matters to me most about group G is wether Brazil or Portugal gets to take on spain, or both. The sheer luck that The Netherlands has at least of those 3 powerful groups two down is pure win :p.

That said, if you want to see how we will take down Italy in the 1/8 or 1/4 finals(if they even make that). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE look at the European Cup match of 2 years ago Italy-The Netherlands and while you're busy France-The Netherlands, both got a sheer ass-whooping

As a conclusion i have a argentina on flying out of the tournament in the 1/8 finals... Yeh, they're failling in my opinion =)

I agree, he's not a worthy successor to Figo in terms of sportsmanship.
