Planet X is awesome.

I beleive we already covered the idea of Australia in an earlier thread. We decided it was no big loss to nuke the entireity of the country to get rid of Yahtzee's infulence, but beforehand we would have to rescue Jim_Doki.
I knew it, you are trying to murder me!

As a "Brit" i like the Canadians, because my experience with Canadians is much better than with Americans over the internet, i would say i find 3 in 5 Americans annoying (ones who speak) and about 1 in 10 Canadians (ones who speak). Then again i could just be lucky/unlucky with the people i find....

The people I met there were all quite nice too, even the border guards.
Unlike the U.S.
yeah the border guards are a LOT nicer coming to Canada

going to the states you get given the third degree and then some, coming to Canada it's rather fun sometimes

I?ve recently seen a lot of post regarding the world?s opinions on Americans and though these have proved very enlightening I would like to hear of my home country for once. I have heard that Canadians are most loved most hated and everything in between. What does the population of the Escapist have to say on this question?
You're the guys that make maple syrup right? Er...wait...maybe that's Maine?

Never met a Candadian person, as far as I know. The country is a socialism though, so I don't like it.

Socialism has nothing to do with whether or not your leaders are elected. It's about the government controlling certain industries while leaving others public. ex: health care.

Not liking a country because of socialist tendencies seems kind of silly. Every singly country on the planet has at least some social programs.

I've been to Montreal and Quebec City several times and always had a blast. My dad's wife is from Montreal, and she has a huge family, her 7 sisters and all their husbands and kids and everything. They're all wonderful people.

Good work, Canada. 9/10 (one point ommited for "Eh?" I always want to smack somebody when I hear them say it)

Proudly Québécois and canadian. I loooove speaking Canadian french, it's so much more of a blast than France French.

Jim Carrey, William Shatner and Mike Myers are canadians. Think about that for a second.

America's hat!

In all honesty, you're an independent bunch with a certain affiliation with the French and colder climates. You have strange accents, strange laws, and an obsession with beavers and ice hockey.

Otherwise, you're cool people. And you're a HAT!
your our pants :) may you never leave it could be embarrassing

Canada was my first foreign country. I have to say that I like it quite a lot. The accents ranged from "like American" to "AWESOME!!!". Overall, I like Canada, and I think Canadians are a great bunch of people. Also, the landscape was breathtaking.
Canada = WIN!

I'm British 20% of us say yes America, whatever you say America, so 20% think your America's hat.
10% are patriotic, so they say, "it's just not british" in a posh tone, then cry about how the children are being diddled and turn us into a nanny state.
20% are lib dem so are on the fence. About everything. Even you. And their next breath and finishing this sentance, so think you're both America's hat and the better version there of.
15% are chavs so ask, what's a canada?
The rest judge by who you are. Doesn't matter if you're white, asian, black or/and blue, so long as you make that final 35% laugh, they'll like you.

You're like nicer, less interesting, Americans. Some of you are French, but we like you better than the French.

I think that Canada is pretty awesome. I mean, Rush is from Canada! I see Canada as the pretty cool (no pun intended) neighbor to the north.

Why would you bump this thread? WHY?? It's a year and a half old!

Ugh... just so this post can have content, I really don't have much of an opinion. It's pretty cold as far as I can tell and I really hate the cold so I'll probably never live there. I heard the health care system isn't all that bad as well. All I know is that apparently there are a lot of LAN parties and lots of people drink Bawls which is really cool.

I live near where Neil Peart grew up.

Also, Thread necromancy is a crime.

On Topic: Being Canadian, I think we just take a back seat and are content with that. Our tv sucks but Discovery Channel is awesome, we're actually a pretty big gaming country, so I'd say we're pretty cool.
