Have to say that Canadians tend to have a very good reputation in Australia. Every Canadian I've met has been funny, friendly, intelligent, and generous. Admittedly, I've only met a few, but most of my friends have visited Canada at one point or another.
I agree, and also Canada is a beautiful country. :)

For the record I hate toast.

But Canada is awesome.
I don't believe that. There is no way you have an undying hate of toast, where just the mention of the word infuriates you. You either say, "it's ok" or "it's meh. Not really my thing." On the other hand there is no one that raves about toast and have blogs dedicated to it because they just love it so much.

Hey, I am a major advocate of toast! So many delicious varieties to choose from, and it can add much needed texture to an otherwise bland and mushy sandwich.

Also being from Ontario I can attest to the fact that milk comes in bags. Usually in one big bag with three smaller bags inside.

To paraphrase Rick Mercer;

Canada's bigger, and it's on top. If this was prison, the US would be our *****.

As a Canadian, I am loud and proud and patriotic in a quiet sort of way. The sort of patriotic where I love our country to death but don't feel bad if I accidentally end up using the loo when the national anthem is playing.

That said, watch out. We have starving polar bears and are willing to use them if they don't die first.

Born and raised in ONT with those crazy bags. I remember my first carton of milk after I moved here to Manitoba. I was so confused.

Well speaking on behalf of the entire world here: I have nothing against you, it's just you haven't accomplished anything important so I don't take notice.

(I kid, I kid)

I shall direct you to World War I.... you know, the one the AMERICANS did nothing in?

I kid, I kid

I think you people don't realise something about Celine Dion, Bryan Adams and all the others.

We don't have to apologize for those! One word for you: Exile.

It's not that they want to live in the U.S., it's that they are banished from Canada!!!

Oh and I get the tune of the first two words of the Canadian national anthem stuck in my head all the time (unless you don't count 'oh' as a word). Too bad I don't know the rest.

I meant the mass of small islands that are north of Nunavut... they are Canadian territory, and are very close to the north pole :)

I've been to Canada, and was quite taken with it. Beautiful scenery everywhere, and having a deer casually walk up to me as I was sat outside reading is an experience I'll always remember.
The people I met there were all quite nice too, even the border guards.
Unlike the U.S.

Never met a Candadian person, as far as I know. The country is a socialism though, so I don't like it.

I?ve recently seen a lot of post regarding the world?s opinions on Americans and though these have proved very enlightening I would like to hear of my home country for once. I have heard that Canadians are most loved most hated and everything in between. What does the population of the Escapist have to say on this question?
You're the guys that make maple syrup right? Er...wait...maybe that's Maine?

Planet X is awesome.

I beleive we already covered the idea of Australia in an earlier thread. We decided it was no big loss to nuke the entireity of the country to get rid of Yahtzee's infulence, but beforehand we would have to rescue Jim_Doki.
