I gotta Say Ether and Mass Effect 2 Ashley/Kaidan scene...That made me pissed off as shit. I nearly wanted to throw my controller at the screen and curse Kaidan's name.

And also I gotta Say the bad ending of Star Wars The Force Unleashed II. FAIL.

Keeping in line with the "moment" concept of OP:

Oblivion - spending hours upon hours completing all the Brotherhood and Thieves quests, getting the best gear possible for my archer primary, only to get back to main story to find that I can't kill anything fast enough to continue the game. (leveling system snafu, archers underpowered even with sneak bonus)

Doom 3 - after all the hype and buying it on release day expecting gaming ecstasy, getting absolutely bored and disinterested after an hour or two in. (spending so much time being careful to clear each room and watch your back only to have scripted ambush after scripted ambush does not suspense create)

Dawn of War II - playing the whole single player game waiting to be able to actually get to make an army at some point (like you could in the first game) and trying all the races in multiplayer only realize this crap is nothing like DoW1 and sucks ass.

Dawn of War II Chaos Rising - buying and playing the expansion against better judgement, just to have yourself proven right.

Medieval II Total War - advancing far enough into the game to start massing heavy cavalry only to discover they suck total ass and are less effective than the heavy cavalry in Rome Total War despite the medieval era being historically dominated by cavalry.

Left 4 Dead 2 - following everyone else into the sequel only to find the original's Versus mode is better balanced and more cohesive... but nobody wants to play the older game anymore when the bought the newer one.

StarCraft 2 - finding out the matchmaking system thinks its f'n funny to pit you against a team you can't possibly beat every other game. (I'm Platinum workin on Diamond but my friends are all Bronze =p)

Max Payne - the final "boss" fight turning out to be you shooting support cables to an antenna tower. (I wasn't that mad at the time, but thinking about it is pretty lame)

Supreme Commander 2 - trying the demo and noticing it seemed to have lost everything that made SupCom1 distinctive. Then buying the game on blind faith and getting godsmacked.

I'm tired, enough for now.

THE single worst moment in gaming history was when some asswipe in a business suit who can barely navigate Excel decided it'd be brilliant to make first person shooters big on his superfluous new console. It ruined both the genre and the worthwile consoles.
Technically speaking that is all Bungie's fault.
They made Halo:CE the only really, really good game on the Xbox launch list. If they hadn't done that the Xbox could have died quietly and we would all be playing jrpgs on the Playstation 3 now. Or Call of duty on our PCs...

Instead some exec looked at the sales figures and went 'this is a typo right? It isn't?! But it says five million copies! Quick, make more shoot 'em ups, now now now!'
Thus Bungie doomed us all, or did we doom ourselves by buying the game?
Bungie making Halo is alright. It was Microsoft that made them develop it as an XBox-only title. I commend Bungie for making that work, I hate the rest of the industry for mistaking its commercial success (as the launch title of a new console, dumbasses) for the perfect golden formula for making mountains of money.
I hate the XBox' target demographic for proving them "right".

...
And to those other guys who replied to me earlier: I'm not a PC elitist fanboy. I love the Wii and the PS3 and their predecessors and all the great games that came out for them.
I hate how ONE genre changed for the worse because of ONE platform that I think nobody needs and get baited by insecure namecalling? Lovely. Should have seen it coming though; I said the c-word.

When ever you had to fight a fucking Scion in Mass Effect 2.
Fucking over powered that shoot past cover.
Fuuuu....They're a *****. Also those prothean things. Jesus christ whenever I get the barrier down it forces me into cover and gets the barrier again. The only way i could truly defeat it was by nuking it at the very start with the Cain gun.

They shouldn't be in ME3 after ME2's events so there's a relief. Though I have a feeling they'll be back...
Well the husks were used by geth as well as collectors, under reaper supervision so I would expect since reapers are the main bad guy in all three games assuming its only a trilogy we can expect to see them again.

Fallout New Vegas - Losing your 80 hour save files
I know what that feels like dude. I had a seventy-nine hour save file on New Vegas and when I saw it had been corrupted, I felt like someone could murder my family and I wouldn't care in the slightest.

Of course now, I would be sad ):

The condition New Vegas was released in was an utter disgrace, and more's the pity because there's an amazing game in there beyond the layers of bugs.

Not to mention the bugs: Sorry , Player. You didn't sell the stolen shield to that dodgy thief earlier, now he won't speak to you and you can't finish the final quest in the Thieves' guild.

First time I played Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. Never have I been so massively, woefully disappointed with a videogame.
