This is a tricky one. I used to work projection at a theatre so I've seen bits and pieces of just about every shitty movie in the last 3 years.

I would have to say that any of the of the "_____ Movie" movies take the cake though. Epic Movie, Disaster Movie and the rest are all horrible. In fact everything that those guys touch is horrible (Meet the Spartans anyone?)

The saddest part is those movies were always incredibly busy the first week they were out usually outselling the other(better) movies.

Twilight... Ugh...
Oh yeah, I forgot about this. That's how poor it was; my mind had to blank out the fact that I'd ever seen it.

That film also gives me doubts for an upcoming film where the Lead girl in Twighlight may be playing the Lead in a film I've wanted to see for about 6-7 years...
DAMN YOU TWIGHLIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i saw ads for twilight and thought "thats one of the ugliest lead actresses I've ever seen". Little do i know she normally looks like a real person! still an untalented ***** though

ugh...Knowing...so much wasted potential...which made it even weirder when all the kids in my class started talking about how they liked it...No spoilers here, but REALLY?!?! WTF?!?! I was asking myself that all the way through the movie...

Also Transformers 2, which was even more awkward because I was seeing it with a bunch of friends who all loved it...
And, the new The Day the Earth Stood Still...

DareDevil. I walked out on it.
Same with the Mummy 2.
Also Max Payne.
And Narnia.

Actually, I walk out on movies quite a lot if they turn out to be bad. A few people asked me why I walk out on movies and if I don't see it as a waste of money. Personally I feel that it's one thing if a movie was a waste of money but another if it was a waste of both my money andp time.

I don't go to enough movies to have a good argument, but Terminator Salvation wasn't too great.

The god damned Wicker Man

not Wicker Man, which i saw later and was good and had christopher lee in drag.

No, I mean The Wicker Man, which made NO sense, no plot direction, a pointless hard-on for bees, and the mopey sad-faced acting of mr. nick cage.

the only thing worth seeing in it it the climax where cage has his legs horribly broken, and is hoisted up to his hollow in the pyre, whereupon we the viewer hear his shrieking in agony for several minutes before he dies. and even this bit is ruined by tacking on another scene right after it
What the hell are you talking about? That was the best comedy of 2006!

I'm just kidding that was probably the worst movie I've ever seen.

No, not the bees!!!!
Oh god, My LEGS!!! You broke my legs!!!

It didn't help that I'd been playing MGS3 when I went to see it so I kept imagining The Pain showing up to smack a *****.

I want nick cage screaming ax my ringtone

A lot of theatres have a policy where you can request a refund if you leave within the first 30 minutes. If not just say there was a family emergency and you will most likely get a refund or at least a pass to get a "free" movie next time.

Public Enemies. It was terribly boring. Only movie in history where I have almost fallen asleep.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try it next time.
I don't expect it to work though. They stopped selling tickets with actual people and make you get them through machines - which allowed them to raise the ticket price because they had to put those machines there and that costs money. Stopped selling food and drinks that isn't prepackaged and have nobody walking around near the doors of the movies so it's extremely easy to go to other movies for free.
I don't take advantage of that last bit, but it's true.

Honestly I wouldn't expect them to care about me as a customer that much.

I saw 9, Transformers 2, Be Kind Rewind, and the worst of them all... Balls of Fury.

I purposely stayed away from Disaster Movie. Because if I saw it, that would mean I'm buying a ticket and if I bought a ticket for it, then that would be giving them money and if I give them money, they'll make another one.

Epic Movie. It was just so shit!
Indiana Jones 4. It was a good movie until a certain event near the end of the movie. Involving UFO's, and ruining the movie completely.
X-men Origins: Wolverine. I wasn't expecting much from it but I was so bored, nothing interesting happened for like 40 mins (when they finally put the admantium into him) but it got boring about two minutes later. Anytime it got close to becoming interesting some crappy cheesy fight decided to start.
I love when they make the "Snakes on a plane" parody xD Other then that you're right..

Very Bad:
Extract
Meet The Spartins
Twilight

The ONLY movie I've ever walked out of:
The International. (A half hour in I turn to my friend and told him we're not sitting here any longer. We theater-hopped to 'Fired Up' which was a THOUSAND times better.)

I've heard you guys talk about a lot of movies here, and I can't believe what I'm reading on most of them. Yes, any of the ____ Movie series were and are terrible. There are a few others you mentioned that were terrible as well. Yet most of the ones you've mentioned were anywhere from decent to outstanding flicks! All of you saying Drag Me To Hell was awful... thats just mind-boggling to me. That movie was insane fun and I couldn't stop laughing (and cringing at certain parts) and neither could anyone I've talked to about it. Either you guys have some oddly ridiculous taste in movies, or you're in it for the instant gratification.

Anyways, OT. Worst movie? Well, I'd have to say Epic Movie. I didn't see any of the others in theatres and I know I never will see any of their movies again. But to be honest, I hate the movie version of Eragon the most. I enjoyed the books, while they aren't the best and are riddled with cliches (Wish I knew how to do accents), but the movie straight butchered the storyline and killed the ending with more passion than Mel had for Christ. (Yea? Good?) I mean sure its true that most book-to-movie adaptations fall short on many levels, but this one blows all others out of the water by far. Good book-to-movie concepts are out there. Try Fight Club, damn fine book, damn fine movie, and the only thing different about em is the ending, and even that is minor. MEH! RANT OVER!

The Spirit. I've never to this day walked out of a movie, but in that case, I "went to the bathroom" for a really long time. Seriously the inside of the Men's room was far more entertaining than that piece of junk.

Also: Anyone know why they made that instead of Sin City 2?

I liked Public Enemies but it was awfully slow in places.

Ya know, i heard all the trashing of "The Spirit".. I even figured it would stink, but i still gave it a shot on DVD, and to be honest.. That's one of the most unfairly bashed flicks in recent memory. It wasn't THAT bad.

Drag Me To Hell. Officially the shittiest big name movie of the year. (excluding any michael bay shit)
No way! "Drag Me To Hell" was one of the most fun flicks of this past summer! Sam Raimi returning to his Evil Dead roots made alot of folks VERY happy.

Ultraviolet. So shockingly bad I was riveted to my seat, unable to fathom the depths of lunacy Wimmer had to have sunk to have made this appalling blurry mess. I've never seen a movie that tried so hard a came up so short.
Good call. After how badass "Equilibrium" was, i was pretty excited for "Ultraviolet" but it was utter crap. I guess Christian Bale really is just THAT cool.

At any rate, my winner would have to be "American Dreamz" or "Cool World".
