DMC 2
Highlander 2
Robocop 2
Predator 2
Those do not look like games (except for DM2... which I heard sucked), but, I had high hopes for Robocop 2. I am a BIG Frank Miller fan. He alone kept me reading comic books into the mid 1980s...after that it was Alan Moore... and he wrote the script for Robocop 2 and got the pacing wrong, and it was far too ugly to watch. I was crushed.
The biggest mistake is that they tried to emulate Paul Verhoeven's directing and they failed miserably.

And what the hell was the deal with Louis's fucking perm? It made her look like shit.
To me, it would have meant a world of difference if the driving by his wife's home thing had been done in snippets as a subplot over the duration of the film, with him telling her he is just made to look like her husband in his honor at the end of the movie would have changed much. It was a pacing matter. As it was, it was episodic: "Hey Murphy, deal with your wife... Hey Murphy, why you following so many strange rules and regulations... Hey Murphy... etc." You could keep the plot points but place them within the framework of entire movie differently.

Why does this matter so much 20 years later? This could have been GREAT, a movie we still watch and love. Instead, it is in the dustbin of movie fan history.

Definitely not the worst, but I think Super Mario 2. The doki doki one. Man, it's so damn boring...

Spiderman 3, the first next gen game I played that looked and played like an early PS2 game, bad graphics, terrible gameplay, worse voice acting, and infuriating boss fights.

The final boss was really cheap as well.

Predator 2
I (whisper it) quite enjoyed Predator 2 up until the bit where it spares the cop's life for the baby. It passed the quality control event horizon when they had the predator say, to the camera if I remember correctly, '************'.

As for games, hell I dunno. FIFA 07 was a shitstorm of awful. I also found Soldier of Fortune II practically unplayable because of the maps and the lighting.

That was the exact moment when the movie destroyed itself beyond all repair.

It was the rotten cherry on top of a movie filled with stereotypical Jamaican gangsters, unlikable and uninteresting characters, a fake looking Predator who sticks out like a sore thumb in a metropolitan environment and a middle-aged Danny Glover who is able to beat him using his rough street cop attitude.

Probably MW2, but that's only because it was trying to follow on from COD4. An almost impossible feat.

Modern Warfare 2: Modern Warfare had its faults a few over powered perks and weapons, but MW2 was just an ugly ugly mess with horrific balance issues. It also followed one of my favourite SP camapaigns with a jingoisitc monotone tedious generic mess that dissapointed on every conceivable level.

San Andreas: Don't get me wrong it is a good game, in fact a very good game, but Vice City was pretty much perfect. The jokes were less funny, the world less immersive and the cultural references felt broader and less focused. I can still remember walking down to Woolworths at 8:30 am, skipping the cue of people stood outside (I worked their) and banging on the window, being let in, walking out five minutes later looking as smug as the people waiting looked pissed off. I got home looked forward to a week off work with nothing but GTA planned just to start a game not a patch on Vice City, I was not a happy bunny.

Operation Flashpoint Drag- Oh screw it! I said that so many times I'm gonna say something different....

Modern Warfare 2 was quite bad
Crackdown 2 was stupid
Sims 3 (Now maybe it isn't that bad, but Sims 2 is way better IMO)

And......... *sigh* Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising
There, happy now?!

Mercenaries 2 was a minor letdown, but a few good elements saved it from the scrappy heap.
Really? Like what? Seriously the only ways I can think of is maybe the way it's more sunny, and swimming. I'm not even sure the car handling is even any better.

And don't get me started on those arbitrary multiple QTE's on every enemy vehicle...

Gotta be Mercenaries 2. Seriously the gulf in quality between game 1 and 2 has never been greater, though Perfect Dark Zero comes awfully close.

Far Cry 2. Took a fun open colourful openworld/sandbox style shooter from far cry and created a poo brown boring overly vehicled pile of arse.
I'll admit that everything in Far Cry 1 up until the mutants was better than all of Far Cry 2, but as a whole I enjoy FC2 more, so sue me.
Could i sue someone over that? The charge is one cake. But i agree witrh you on mercenaries as well. So we shall just call it one slice.

Fallout 3. Oh god no.
It's not even a Fallout game! It's just a crappy FPS without the feeling of a barely living, breathing, apocalypse that the original possessed.

A close second is Bad Company. It ruined the entire notion of the Battlefield series; making the game feel like a battlefield. This was just COD with bigger maps.
I'm really hoping that Battlefield 3(and Vietnam, if I'm lucky) brings Battlefield back.

I'm surprised nobody here has said Final Fantasy X-2 yet.
Lmao there we go x.x...but it's not the worst. It was just the bastard off spring from a series that was suppose to be above it.

I don't know about "worst", but for me the most disappointing sequel was Oblivion.

I liked Oblivion, but it was nothing compared to Morrowind. They brutally castrated the immersion and depth that I loved so much about the Elder Scrolls series. I don't regret buying it, but it should have been a much better game. It's painfully obvious that they thought they had to massively dumb it down for the consoles.
