To me, it would have meant a world of difference if the driving by his wife's home thing had been done in snippets as a subplot over the duration of the film, with him telling her he is just made to look like her husband in his honor at the end of the movie would have changed much. It was a pacing matter. As it was, it was episodic: "Hey Murphy, deal with your wife... Hey Murphy, why you following so many strange rules and regulations... Hey Murphy... etc." You could keep the plot points but place them within the framework of entire movie differently.Casual Shinji said:The biggest mistake is that they tried to emulate Paul Verhoeven's directing and they failed miserably.Gorfias said:Those do not look like games (except for DM2... which I heard sucked), but, I had high hopes for Robocop 2. I am a BIG Frank Miller fan. He alone kept me reading comic books into the mid 1980s...after that it was Alan Moore... and he wrote the script for Robocop 2 and got the pacing wrong, and it was far too ugly to watch. I was crushed.Casual Shinji said:DMC 2

And what the hell was the deal with Louis's fucking perm? It made her look like shit.
Why does this matter so much 20 years later? This could have been GREAT, a movie we still watch and love. Instead, it is in the dustbin of movie fan history.
