-Despite the fact it's a Grammar School, we get a surprising amount of drug busts on various students in upper school (our year is no exception).
-A server in our one of our ICT departments spontaneously combusted, and the resulting fire wasenough to grant us most of the afternoon off.
-An urban legend which was going round our school saying the CCTV cameras strategically placed around the school were for more than to just deter bad behaviour, and that they did actually work. I and a small group of my close friends decided to disprove this myth by fighting in one of the places in question. 10 minutes later, 5 members of staff turn up, including the deputy head, and we're dragged to the deputy's office and detentions were given all round. I've never doubted any of our school myths ever again.
-A kid tripped in our form room where we were playing bulldog, and one of his ribs came out of his chest. It was a NASTY sight.
-I got stabbed by my ex-best friend in my 7th year, who had a sharpened piece of plastic left over from design. I went to science trying to pretend nothing was up, but got carried off to the medical office when our science teacher saw me bleeding out all over the desk and floor. 12 stitches later...
-Numerous people have been mugged in the alley near our school.
-I started a petition to get rid of a TERRIBLE teacher, got the signatures of everyone in my class, then slipped it under the headteacher's door anonymously. Unfortunately, SOMEONE blabbed, and I was dragged off first thing the next day for what turned out to be a fairly pleasant telling off.

Well, one of my teachers had a thing for little girls. And since it is a catholic school, It has no inspection from the state, so he still works there of course. Also at that school, the corrupt succubus-***** of a nun principle told one of my best friends, after his dog had run away, that it was probably dead and that he should havve payed closer attention to it.
2 of my teachers were convicted of paedophilia along with another student. And a guy in my art group raped a 19 year old girl.
I think the most violent thing ever happen in our school was a year 11 chucked a year 7 through the greenhouse walls :/
This last year(lol2010) has been nasty to my school. 'sexting' got this kid arrested with having child pornography. a bunch of fights have started, but a year back was the funniest worst thing to happen. There was this fight, and the Vice Principle came in to break it up. He was pulling this kid back, and the kid punched him right in the face. Was funny cause no one really liked him.

some mad head wanted to fight someone and they guy had broke his hand. so this guy punched a brick wall a few times and broke his own hand so the guy had no excuse not to fight.
oh and personally a guy two years up thought i had thrown an apple core at him and decided to come across punch me to the floor and rub it in my face...
i got my face stuck in the astro fence, that was just funny though, was playing hocket and i was running full pelt as the astro was running out i jumped up on to the 3 feet high brick wall and my foot slipped on that and under the fance, tok a few people to bend it and lift it up. was funny

In my most recent school there was a riot at a Dead Prez concert. Two years later we had a teacher masturbating in the Men's looker room. Fortunately no one died. At my old school. Someone died from a heroin overdose and other person who over dosed later died from something else. Most recently one student crashed his car (while sober) and killed the passenger. My old school respond not by showing sympathy for the family of the victim, but by abusing the sister of the driver. That environment is why I'm so messed up today.
My school's biggest issues are mostly drug-related. One of my friends got sent to rehab last year and then again just before the start of this year (and he's still there), three kids got suspended for making a bong on a bus on the way to a lacrosse game and then using it, another one of my friends snorted some kind of pill during english class and then that same day in chemistry he pierced his finger and put an earring in it.
We also had an issue with stealing last year. Some kids stole a phone and an ipod and got caught just before they were going to sell them.
And finally, we had a fight in art class one day, centered around a racist comment, and a kid brought in a gun (but didn't use it).

I can't point to one specific incident, but during my junior and senior years of high school there was some kind of turf war going on with the trustees (I went to a Montessori school), which caused most of the good teachers to leave. The school also enrolled more students than could fit comfortably in its facilities and then the administration wondered why there was an increase in vandalism and general acting out.
We also had a really horrible vice principal. I thought at the time that I was the only one having trouble with her, but I heard later that there were so many complaints from students (and parents) that she was eventually fired. That wasn't until after I graduated, though.
EDIT: If this counts, there have been multiple incidents of kids at my younger brothers' school getting busted for dealing drugs - sometimes pot, but mostly prescription drugs. And he goes to a private religious school.

The thing I can think about is from this year(Year 9). Apparently, some 15 year old girl went into labor in the middle of class.
I'm a reprehensible sadist, so I won't say what I think about this, but strip everything away and it wasn't by any means a good thing.
Aside from that, the worst things that happen 'round there are the occasional fights in the hall, kids get caught smoking something, the usual stuff.

We have about 10 fights every semester, at least a dozen bomb threats a year. Every marking period there are a dozen or so kids who go missing on account of A). Fighting. Or B). Drug related things. One of my good friends decided it would be a great idea to smoke a bowl in the bathroom. He got caught. Two years ago, they found a bullet in the trash can, and last year some kid lost a finger while another nearly died from student on student brutality. The food is horrendous and horribly overpriced and every year about 3 kids die from various causes. We also have a problem with teachers trying to tell kids not to be horny, which is reacted to by several people going into the bathrooms and having a mini orgy. I guess this is just what happens when you pack 4,000+ kids into a compact school.
