I suspect they were using a trainee for making the chicken. I work at a KFC as a cook (In Australia) so maybe you had some new staff preparing the food, after all every cook in KFC had to learn how to bread chicken some time.

My local KFC is great, i have a vegetarian friend who often gets the twisters without chicken and they give it to her at under half price. In fact they will do all sorts of random mixing and matching for you. They just wont let you get a family bucket full of popcorn chicken. But at least we tried.

I remember my Jr. High math teacher always used to tell us that KFC was made out of test tube chickens with no eyes, feathers or beaks...lol

I find fast food varies greatly from place to place. Sometimes you hit a winner...sometimes it's so awful words can't do it justice.

The local KFC's here up north seem to be fine. Mind you, our economy is apparently doing alright, all things considered. I find that KFC chicken is dry, no matter where the restaurant is. It is really only the awesome seasoning on the skin that keeps drawing me back. Oh, and the fries are unusually greasy, even by fast food standards.

The best part about it was that they diddnt reject it because it was a bucket full of popcorn chicken, but because we diddnt have enough main's for a family meal...

Is there a theater that lets you bring in food? Or do you have a really big trench coat?

I've lived in Australia most of my life and I've always loved KFC. The nuggets are delicious and the thick chips were a brilliant side dish (but Red Rooster still has the best chips). However I went to America recently and not only did they not have nuggets anywhere I went but they didn't have chips either just wedges. What I did have was god awful which I found rather ironic, since KFC started in America.

If I lived on the same side of the planet as Scunthorpe I would patronize that theater.

I wanted to try the Double Down (ironically, of course) so I went to my local KFC. I used to like KFC a lot, then I moved somewhere that didn't have one, then I recently moved again to a place that does. So this was the first time I had eaten at this particular KFC.

The sandwich was god-awful. The chicken had no breading, it tasted bitter and tough, the fries were burnt, and all the ingredients just seemed cheap. The quantity wasn't fantastic either for its price. I would chalk it up to a bad economy, but Popeye's offers more food for the same price and it's actually good. Of course, there's no Popeye's within 50 miles so I am chickenless for the time being. Which I guess is good for my overall health...

So my question is, has anybody else experienced the same thing? Has KFC initiated this franchise-wide program to cut costs as much as possible while keeping their prices the same, or is my local KFC just incompetent?
I don't think burning the fries and purposely making the chicken tough and bitter is on KFC's agenda regardless of economic status. They're not out to get you, it's silly to think so. Your local KFC is just incompetent, dudeman.

KFC is just to damn expensive. They also took away my favorite sandwich the snackwich and replaced it with "The snakker!11!" which is just a snackwich that's 60 cents more.

I remember when i was in football... Pulling into that KFC on the bus trip home from a game and ordering ten of the little bastards. The looks on the employees faces... They were so pissed off...

As well KFC fries are the best if they are fresh. Sadly i always get stuck with the soggy ones.

Though the BEST fries are the fries they sell at Costco. The poutine(Fun fact my spell check thinks poutine isn't a word. SCORE) is so bloody awesome.... Whats sad is Costco is a warehouse store that has a small area that sells food almost as an afterthought.

I dunno, if I even look at one of those mad science experiments they call a bacon sandwich, my arteries inform me that they will be vacating the premises immediately.
