It's an advert, seriously. If it was just 30 seconds of a bloke giving his girlfriend a copy of WOW and her going, "cheers, this is quality" it'd be one fucking boring advert.
Thats not the point here, the point is that they are blatantly saying "Don't get your girlfriends interested in WoW, they'll dump you!"
No. The point is that you are taking something that isn't supposed to be taken serious, serious.

Do you take everything Yahtzee says serious as well when watching Zero Punctuation? If so, why don't you go critisize him as well?

It's like listening to those female hippies who complain that advertisement that includes any indication of "sex" and "women" are commoditizing the female body and are misogynistic. Short answer: No, sex just sells, so companies use it. That's it.

Same applies here. This is simple nerd humor.

Let me clue you people in on something:

THIS IS NOT A REAL ADVERTISEMENT. IT IS A PARODY.

That girl is a known actress, known for playing "bitchy roles". You ever see Adam Sandler's "Funny People", same girl.

Chill the hell out.

This one is much better.

This is only funny if you know who Aubrey Plaza is and the type of characters she plays.
exactly this. it's just aubrey plaza being aubrey plaza. i find it funny cuz' i love her characters so much and they act exactly like this. it may be a mediocre advertisement but i think you might be reading a bit too much in to this.

It's a reference that's hard to get if you didn't see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World but I think it's supposed to be the same girl from this scene.

It's not exactly one of the better gems for a WoW commercial.
I did see that movie and I didn't get that reference. Also, I loved that scene. I loved that movie, too.
Dude, that wasn't a reference to Scott Pilgrim; that was just Aubrey Plaza being Aubrey Plaza-ish. Seriously, go watch like any interview with her on youtube; she's just weird/awkward like that all the time.

Not everybody knows about 'Aubrey Plaza', and even then, you do not subtly imply that your product that you wish to sell to people, ruins relationships.

In Denmark they have this fundamentalist conspiracy theorist Chuck Norris who promotes those vaccine conspiracies that have left thousands of children dead because of rumours relating it to autism promote it.

So yes, WoW supports murdering children, I don't think I can support that.
Wait, what? Chuck Norris uses World of Warcraft profits to run an anti-vaccination campaign in Denmark?!? I see from your profile you are actually Danish so I am going to infer that something got lost in translation and you don't actually mean this guy:

Chuck Norris is a very right-wing Christian. So, yeah...

OT: Stupid commercial. Blizzard should just stick with commercials that show, oh, I don't know, GAMEPLAY? Or cinematics, at least. Because, DAMN, they look good.

Isn't it a good thing the relationship ended? She loved a video game more than she loved her boyfriend; clearly not a very good relationship.
