Diablo 3 and mech warrior, ofcourse. both sequels to two of my favorite PC games of all time. Also the only two games I can really see myself installing on the ol' PC in the foreseeable future.

So many...

I'm just hoping the laptop I'm getting will be able to run all of them on at least medium settings.
does it support DX10 at least? then you should be able, lately from all the PC games that are coming out they are Dx10 at least and DX11 at most.
Yeah, it supports DX11.

I'm (hopefully) getting a Sager NP8690, and it uses an ATI 5870, if you were wondering.

I can counter anything about PC gaming dieing with this

StarCraft 2 got 10/10
World of WarCraft is the most played game ever
Steam has ridiculous sales (and Portal)

and for some, whats more fun then mods and online play that doesn't cost you and extra arm and leg to play?

Quality, not Quantity :p I mean, seriously, how many of those games are even going to get a proper marketing budget?

Most of these games are hand picked because they are showing us a lot of promise. I think there are only a few listed there that I'm unsure about.

Again, is there any subculture with a bigger collective chip on its shoulder than the PC gaming community?

Guild Wars 2.

Excuse me. I didn't say that right.

GUILD WARS FREAKEN' 2!!! <3333. Oh crap, I just slobbered all over my keyboard. I hope that I'm not just being manipulated by really good marketing, because I REALLY want this game to be good.
You and me both. GW2 is pretty much my most anticipated game at this moment, and I wasn't head over heels for GW1, or any MMO in particular.
I'm just afraid NCSoft is pulling a fast one on us. I don't trust them after *gack* Aion.
in fairness i havent liked any of ncsofts games except for guild wars. arenanets still making it. it should be grrrrreeaaat!!!! im extremely excited for it.

Fair 'nuff, though I've never been much of a PC gamer. There's a few more console games that I'm looking forward to, and I just feel more comfortable playing then on my trusty ole PS3. Some of those games look interesting, though I doubt I'll get them.

Duke Nukem Forever, MGS:R, BULLETSTORM, SW:TOR, Cataclysm, gotta admit Guild Wars 2 looks pretty neato burrito, Portal 2 and Diablo 3.
I think my wallet just killed itself.

D3, dead space 2, the witcher 2 (not listed!?), grim dawn...too many to list.

Kinda disappointed that obsidian is the one doing dungeon siege 3, most of their games feel like a beta when they're released. If this game gets neverwintered or alpha protocol'd, i'll be waiting another six months.

As much as I'd love to say I'm excited about 'Dungeons', I know in my heart that nothing, NOTHING, will ever top Dungeon Keeper. Eh, I guess all I really have to say otherwise is I'm obligatorily looking forward to Diablo 3 (So fucking much), and SW:TOR and Guild Wars 2 look interesting, although in terms of MMOs I'll definitely end up going back to WoW; it's just a matter of time. To all the people arguing about sarcasm etc, it really is blatantly fucking obvious that OP was sarcastic in his 'PC gaming dying' declaration. Take a fucking hike.

It's dying because the consoles are going motion control and the PC can't match that. That and Blizzard has almost succeded and locked the MMO PC titles down. Starcraft, WoW, and coming soon to a million users PCs, Diablo 3. No one in their right mind wants to spend money trying to come up with a WoW killer except Star Wars, but only because they can get away with calling Blizzard and their games the Dark Side

Consoles are more public and require less work to play the games, so they reach a bigger audience. If PC gaming didn't require beefed up comps to keep all their titles on the system it might be more well known, that or a Pokemon RPG...someday my dream will come true and I'll be fighting in the Indigo Plateau league...someday my prince (aka Pokemon RPG) will come...I'd spend $100 on that if it didn't have a subscription fee, add the fee and it's 20-30, but still! PC gaming is loosing it's spice to consoles and motion controls

Portal 2 definitely, Batman: Arkham City, Dead State looks very interesting, BioShock Infinite, Asylum looks incredibly cool, Crysis II, Beyond Good & Evil 2, Dues EX 3, and Dead Space 2 of course. I'll be plenty busy it seems and about 500$ less. :/

I'd like the MMOs but I tend to like my games to end.

Just got Combat Mission: Afganistan and I'm living it (Battlefront.com beging the best source of PC games ever, not just for the platform like Steam, but the actual games themselves are genuine PC games). PC gaming isn't dying, it's just not getting as many games as the consoles - which considering most of the games for console isn't really a bad thing.

PC gaming... dying?

http://store.steampowered.com/

Please go find a deep hole and either: Crawl into it and die; or bury your opinion in it (whichever you prefer)

PC gaming ain't dying. There is more out there on my wish list than I can afford... or i have spare time for xD
........

If PC gaming was ever dying, Steam will contribute to it.
Pfft, you can't just drop a bombshell like that, not back it up and then expect people to ignore it. So here I go... OMGWTF<3VALEV4EVA. Seriously though I love steam, it's the only way I actually buy games anymore. (Since I don't get much for my poor neglected Wii) Surely steam is fueling the evolution of smaller indie games AND streamlining the distribution of larger AAA titles.

OT: Though it's not a PC exclusive I'm really looking forward to Brink. Also it's an FPS so if I can play it on a PC it's a PC game. If it turns out to have imprecise aiming and weapons so inaccurate that being able to actually point them at an opponent with a high degree of precision is at best a minor advantage then it's a console game. Since console FPSs strike me as games which place a greater emphasis on other skills like tactical ability and movement.

Argh... I just can't stay OT with this.
Also minecraft if it's ever actually finished. Notch, you keep saying that word "Alpha", I do not think you know what it means.

Did any of you not get the sarcasm or read the op? Go and have a read, click the link, have a look down the list and tell me what games you like.

That link proves PC gaming isn't dying.
