Sometimes best not to step in, 2 times saw something like this, one time i stepped in got knocked on my ass(gave girl distraction enough to beat the hell out of him) and second time got knocked nearly down an escalator(yeah fell halfway down the up escalator hurt like hell) and the girl kicked him in the nuts ran to me stole my knife and NEARLY stabbed him in the balls(she missed got the leg police came by that point)
Never did get that knife back, loved that knife.
Also need to work on my footing I'll get knocked down less
Oh, when knives get involved, I leg it. Well, from what I saw, I could dominate him really easily even the girl could struggle against his grip. Was on an endorphine rage after gym session it was mainly the fact that after I decked him, it wouldve been really awkward. Plus, since he wasnt being a man (not treating a female with respect), why the hell would I give him a fair fight? It was just sooo tempting...
Really hope I did not make many people think I am some cocky bastard who thinks he's the biggest guy or something but, going in the army soon, I have really been working on fitness, and this guy was weak (current PB is 19 pull ups in one set yay!).

Anyway, since someone bothered to read my post, after that, they just backed off to the side and he let go (most probably because he realised he could not keep his grip). They looked like they were sorting it out and thats when I had to leave (was in a rush home).

Btw, you sound really brave, I dont step in if I think the man is stronger than me and give my best of luck to the girl. Then again, I dont carry around a knife with me haha.

Always step in, always join the fight, always enjoy every minute of it form the moment his foot hits your neck to the second you hit the ground. More life experience. and i carry 2 bladed weapons. a knife in my boot, and a dagger around my neck(i stopped carrying 3 the day the girl grabbed it and tried to give her EX a vasectomy)
Plus bruises and scars get girls to notice you more(mostly proven fact)
You can wait for cops to get to the scene with him having beaten her and run, or you can take the beating and keep him in the area.(just keep getting up sometimes they don't leave if your still standing)
Also you mistake brave for bullheadedness

Nah, its bravery, you are now part of an elite group (the 1% of people that actually do someting). Anyway, over here in peaceful Singapore, not many people carry around knives.

Oh wow his foot hit your neck? Only kicks I have dealt with are mostly the foolish wild right leg to the left side of the ribcage. Drop the elbow to block if its fast, or just grab and tug the leg upwards. Sweep the remaining leg, hopefully making him hit the deck and then do not let him get up. Boot the absolute crap out of his elbows and knees, one last resort which I have never done and dont really want to do is to stomp on the back of his neck which may result in pretty serious injury.

Though, the only blade scars I have was the day I learnt the valuable lesson the hard way "CUT AWAY FROM YOUR BODY." I was sharpening something with a penknife dragging the blade inwards and I applied too much force or something and within a second, I had a deep cut on my left thumb. I grazed the nerve well, this scar aint going away :(

Lets call it both, and yeah took me 100% by surprise when that happened, realized what was going on halfway through but failed to do anything, come up swinging(guy was in real good shape but he pulled something doin that *nudge nudge*) Just need to enjoy it, your doing something even if you loose(i refer you to my motto cheesy as it may be)
And the knife thing, only made 2 mistakes with them.
1) carrying the big one on my belt(see girl giving her EX an attempted vasectomy)
2) Cutting sausage(unrelated to above story actual sausage) hit a tough spot started cutting harder then got a soft spot cut clean through sliced my thumb and finger open(was nasty had to throw out my lunch had to keep it bandaged for couple weeks) no scar but one of those "hurts like hell, teaches you too"

Not really, though when I was at my first concert, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and there was this really smashed guy behind me spilling beer everywhere and his face totally reflected how wasted he was.

Some guy randomly put his arm around me and started moshing. Normally I'd push him off, but I just went with it and started moshing with him. 'Twas a damn good show.

...I bet you would.

I bet there's a really good game of MW2 online right now, why don't you go play?

OT: The Big Pink were supporting Muse last year, and they had access to all of Muse's infamous laser show technology

What do they do?

Blast a FRIKKIN' LIGHTHOUSE of a strobe light at the crowd really fast for the entire song for no reason. It made my eyes hurt, and when I looked away I could see thousands of other people either looking away, covering their eyes or looking queasy

What an awful band
Which show were you at? I was at the Birmingham NIA one, and I hated that fucking strobe light so much. I'm 6'3 and luckily the only other guy who was taller than me in the crowd was stood in front of me so I cowered behind him shielding my eyes.

I saw Muse again recently (last friday) in Paris and they had The Big Pink supporting them again, and I was thinking "Jesus Christ, I should have brought sunglasses or something", but luckily I think they got the message because they didn't do it this time.

Also, The Big Pink just came out, played, and left. They showed no awareness of the crowd whatsoever at either gigs. Annoyed me to no end, they don't deserve to go to such large arenas if they are going to be like that.
Yeah, the very same NIA Birmingham. Awesome gig, once Pink left

Typical that I go to the one with the f*ckin' strobe light.

It didn't even fit the song! It's not like some really pounding dance track where it flashes to every other beat, it just flashed inssecently throughout

6'3 or 6'2.5 and weight 280 but am younger, i get a lot of pepole wanting to pick fights because i am big and happy. hmm this gives me hope that as i age i wont have deal with this shit as often, its funny if your small you get picked on and if your big small(in every sense of the word) pepole pick fights with you.
As a general rule... no, most of the people who've wanted to pick fights with me have abruptly reconsidered when I stood up. I haven't had to deal with that sort of nonsense in a very long time, fortunately. The last time I can recall having to deal with that "let's antagonize the big guy" BS was in my early 20's.

That and I'm told I look fairly scary by default. I don't try to, and I'm one of the nicest and most polite people you'll ever meet, but my relaxed neutral face apparently looks "angry" to a significant fraction of the population.

As for me, I've never been to a real concert. Too many stupid people with too much alcohol, unfortunately I can't stand that for a whole concert without the urge to kill me or everyone around me.
Same here. I've been to a couple of blues concerts but obviously there's no moshing; I prefer to go to concerts to listen, not bounce around like a retard. Call me a stick in the mud if you want, but I don't see the fun in it, even when I'm drunk.

I don't see myself ever going to a rock concert, not even for Muse (<3).

Back to the topic: I'm pretty comfortable with people of both genders touching me, although touching my special place at a non-special time makes me uncomfortable. A guy (or girl) grabbing my hand and making me touch them would get a nice verbal response.

Unless I'm drunk.

I was wondering whether my fellow Esacplians have ever endured anything.. unpleasent at a concert, and what was it? And if any of you have ever gone against, or acted differently to, a belief you held about yourself like I did, and what you wish you had said in that situation which probably would have ended it, or at least made you feel better. Mine is the title.

Teehee, accidental Bioshock references.
Once at a concert I almost beat this guys ass because he was moshing on the lawn. But he stepped off, so it was okay.

My friend (a girl) was at a concert once and this guy that clearly had a girlfriend first asked her if she had a light for a cigarette and then kept standing by her and her friends. Then he unzipped her pants and started fingering her. Now my friend is not exactly a rookie on the sexual scene, so it felt good and she just went with it. But her friends were really freaked out. And then the guy sucked his finger clean. And seriously his girlfriend was standing right there so I have no idea how she wouldn't have known. It's probably one of the craziest stories that I have ever heard.

I didn't read any of the other posts really but I doubt anyone can beat this story.

Haven't been to a concert yet but there are a few things I've done that I still don't know why I reacted the way to them I did. Like once I was on the staff for the high school news paper. It was a small staff and ALLOT of work for us all. The day had come to distribute the paper and a guy that had never been on the staff walked up to me and said in my face "The paper sucks." I just took it and walked away. What I though I would have done was say something like. "Oh yea, well do you have to work for a whole month on the newspaper and have huge crunch at the end to finish the pages? We don't catch everything. If you think it sucks join the staff. Other wise shut up when you don't know what we do."

Ok, you know those Monster energy drinks?

Well, I was at Warped Tour listening to some band I had never heard of, when one of those came raining down from the sky and hit me square in the face. Oh, and did I mention it wasn't opened? I picked it up, saw blood, and noticed that my nose and upper lip was bleeding...

But, at least I got a free drink. I was thirsty.

As for getting groped, I don't think that has have ever happened to me.
Win
Hurt like a *****, but the drink made up for it. It quenched my parched throat.
Yeah the fact that it wasn't opened and you could still drink it was the win.

If that was me I do apologise, but if you little 'uns will stand in my way theres not much I can do about it.

Fortunately I'm physically repellent enough to not worry about groping of any kind. One night at a local gay bar though I walked past a group consisting of two guys and a girl and my arse was grabbed. I really hope it was the girl.
can I ask why were you in a gay bar? I'm just curious
Everywhere else closes at 2 am, this place stays open untill 6. That and my female friends sometimes prefer going to gay bars because they just want a drink and a dance without attracting male attention.
ah that makes sense

I'll give you 3 reasons
1) Gay guys are funny dudes to hang out with
2) They can out drink any man/woman/elephant alive
3) Its where all the nice girls hang out(if you fail at one hunting ground go to another)

well, i was HeadBanging once(never gonna do that again, lol) and a random guy banged his head against my head ... damn, the pain that went through my head was horrible D:
HAHA, Yeah I had that too..

I used to have 2 foot long hair and my ass got grabbed and I swung around and theres this guy half shocked, thought I was a girl, but too late, I just smashed his lip..

In Japan I saw the girl directly infront of me, her face start to tighten, and noticed a hand from behind her going into her pants.. like seriously, into you crotch, she was just wincing and allowing it.. I grabbed it with both hands and twisted, and a meep from behind her, some other girl was the culprit.. luckily the one infront of me look at me with thanks..

In Russia, I've seen people grabbed from the audience, stripped by the band, and practically raped, the audience screams for more, the girl (or guy!) is half shamed half excited, even their friends are like.. so what, its a concert, we hear about this in America all the time..

Don't get me started about what I saw at a Ramstein concert!
What did you see at a Rammstein concert?

Also, remember, Russians are kommunists, they can do whatever they want. If you try to stop them, it will be coward killing time and they will get the nukes.

I've only been to one gig so far.

I did try to touch a girl's arse. First 10 minutes? Great!... Until she trod on my foot. In stilettos. Why was she wearing them at a gig?

Probably to hurt people like me. I learned my lesson.
