Demons Souls boss fight is pretty weak suace but i feel like excusing it becuase i personally feel like it was part of the story. plus he was incredibly small compared to the other bosses you fought and by now you either A: Have one of the legendary type weapons or B: your a really high level and leveled up a normal weapon to insane levels

Half life 2. As i recall, it just consisted of shooting energy balls at gunships and a bigger energy thing in the middle. It felt very anticlimactic to say the least.

Baldurs Gate 2... he's a caster, so if you have any of the items in the game that reflect or make you totally immune to magic, its a cake walk.

Super secret tactic was put on cape of magic reflection, walk in without any backup. Then stand there and let him kill himself!

Hell the Dragons and Greater daemons are harder to beat then he is!!

Halo 3 (Cheap-Ass flying camera that can't stand 3 laser shots) and Dark Void (I beat the fucking three-headed dragon robot thing on the hardest difficulty first try)

Mirror's Edge. One jump to the helicopter and he's dead. I did harder things midgame!
The true final boss (in my eyes) is the server room. Screw that twat with the machine gun. Screw him.
Really? I thought these guard parties were fun. Of course I tried to knock out and disarm every opponent possible, so I might be a bit biased. I just kicked him, took his gun and coated the room with bullets.
I was going for a gunless route on hard, and it's virtually impossible to get CLOSE to him.

The Portal monster from Border lands. What a fucking waste of time.
It was rather epic, but it was way to sraight forward, I mean, some platforming or phases would have made it soo much better.
But, it's more or less only hiding behind that pillar and shooting that purpule stuff all the time.

Dragon-Age:Origins boss fight was a bit easy, that is assuming you had at least one mage with Cone of Cold.

Atleast it had weak spots I suppose. Not any weak spots that needed cooperation to expose or anything cool like that but it's better than nothing.

Borderlands had a horrible one, not only was he piss easy, he took an annoying amount of time because of his massive health and any kind of tension that would have been created if he wasn't piss easy would have been killed anyway because you restart 20 feet from him with nill consequences! Not to mention the (admittedly totally expected) twist that
you never really get to see what's in the vault after all!

Yeah, the final boss of Batman was a disappointment, you kinda expected more thought and cunning instead of just ..well, a fight.

Considering I've praised it in every post I've ever been able to shoehorn it into, I'd have to say Painkiller, too.

The final level and boss are amazing in terms of feel and look, but in terms of gameplay it doesn't have anything on the bosses from every level before.

No one ever mentions WET. I guess no one else but me played it! HA! Sucks to be me! Anyway, yeah my vote is on WET. Entire final boss is done in quick time and it wasn't even that flashy for a game that is all about being flashy!

Resident Evil 4.
I would say Arkham Asylum, but, honestly, none of the earlier bosses promised anything special. RE4 however, the boat ride, the giant ride, the village boss in the barn, Krauser!! ... there were such great battles. And then ... blehh

And I actually reverse my opinions on the ME bosses. The first game's boss was suitably epic, and worked well. The second one looked stupid, and I couldn't take the fucking thing seriously.
I totally agree. I'm a Bioware fanboy till the end but that boss was just stupid. No I do not want to fight your giant half built terminator, I want to fight the guy who I've been chasing around for an entire game and who's character has actually been developed to a point where I enjoy killing him.

Batman: Arkham Asylum, Assassins Creed 1 & 2, Zelda: Twilight Princess. All had boss fights that were way to easy, repetitive, and I beat them on the first try. Ok fine. A sword fight with Ganondorf probably would end up like that, since his main weapon is throwing giant flashing balls at you. But, I expected something more epic and difficult.

Ever play a game good or bad that had a piss poor final boss? If so which game was it

As for me I remember playing Bioshock killing the final boss using only my shotgun it was so lame. Then Bioshock 2 game along and it didn?t even have a final boss.

Another game I remember was Mass effect's final boss which was nothing more then a metal frog jumping up the walls BUT Mass effect 2 redeemed itself with an epic final boss.
Mass Effect 2's final boss, while certainly epic, was a big letdown. Far too simple and easy. Saren from ME1 was a much better final boss, IMO
