I saw it as more of a "former alcoholic is more likely to become addicted to alcohol again," type of thing. Someone who was beaten before is more likely to be beaten in the future, due to low self-esteem, already being conditioned/resigned to it, or for whatever reason. It makes sense, but I could be wrong.Asturiel said:Heh, way I see it, they are abusing them because of something wrong with them. More likely than not they will hunt them down if they leave them and do something about it if not stopped by somebody else, hopefully the law enforcement of the area.Sgt. Not really. If one hits anyone its not okay and its assault.Souplex said:Because it's wrong to hit women, it's ok to hit men.
It's sad that all this shit happens and Women's rights activists still say they get the short end of the stick. I mean for Christs sake, they want everything men have and still keep all their privileges. Despite my last statement, I don't think there's anything a man can do that a woman isn't allowed to do except maybe volunteer to have their cock molded, and even then I bet if the woman was greedy the organization would be in court for sexism.Disaster Button said:We all know Domestic Abuse is a serious thing and is pretty bad. I'm not trying to detract from that but the way its publiscised is beginning to annoy me.
In any advert that's trying to raise awareness for abusive situations its always the man who is abusing the woman/the children/the pet or whatever else is in the room. But why is it that these adverts never (that I've seen) show the woman being the culprit instead of the victim?
You'd think living in the century that we do that people would realise (especially the awareness raising people) that anyone can be the culprit of domestic abuse, not just angry men. Of course if all adverts are considered one universe then the men could be beating the women because women seem to embarass them at every given oppurtunity, even in situations that if the roles were reversed the man would be considered a monster or, at the very least, a bit of a jerk. I've even hard conversations (by both men and women) that go something along the lines of 'a man being beaten up by a woman? what a pansy' ... I may have used less colourful language but you get the idea.
The point I'm trying to make is that it seems to be a bit of a stigma for men to suffer at the hands of an abusive woman which is insane. This can be applied to any situation where men or women are looked down upon for something which someone of the other gender could do and get away with, if you want to add your own examples, feel free.
I guess I'm wondering if I'm alone in this thought and what you all think.
I love this song, and Pink. For once I see a song by her posted on here that wasn't done by me. It does have a good point though.ahlycks said:ok look at thisOnyx Oblivion said:A woman cries abuse and shes a victim.

whining about getting whacked with a golf club and getting chased around with an ax is not weak.

A man sleeps with two women and he's a legend.
