People married people in Skyrim?
People used companions in Skyrim?

Well this is certainly news to me.
Thiiiiiis . Never saw the point . And never bothered to figure out how .
You get food
and money.
'Cos those are so hard to get doing a standard run.
Just sayin'.
Yes, but its a SPECIAL [http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Homecooked_Meal] food.
Oh man, that's gonna replace my 700 premium health potions for sure!
With realistic needs modding, that meal will stop starvation.

My Argonian version of myself married Jordis because she is a blonde version of Lydia. And is hot. And comes with a sweet house.

eh, I married Scouts-many-marshes, because I felt sorry for the argonian dock workers... not that having him move in with me in Rifton was any better mind you

And I just found it funny, myself a vampire kajitt, male I add, moving inot a tiny house with my gay argonian lover who bakes pies for me everytime i feel like heading home, using him as a free blood bank for my vampirism

I married Brenyla whatserface as she was the first person in my game to be nice to me. Once marrying her I realised she was quite boring.
Isnt't that how most marriages go?

I only use trainer companions, and then I dump them as soon as they outlive their usefulness. They may have been of some use if they levelled. I have never married in Skyrim.

I married Quintus, actually. There was a shared connection with my character's alchemical focus (translated: she poisons just fucking everything).

Also, another character married Brelyna, but originally as a rebound. His true love was Arenea, but she was already married to her job as Azura's priestess. v_v

But Aela is way better...she shows some skin, turned me into a werewolf and is great for making me money. Okay that last part applies to every marriage option, and I only got married for the achievement and chose Aela because why the hell not.

I married some random woman in a bar in Whiterun because I felt like getting the achievement and she seemed the easiest for me at the time.

I once married that Dunmer chick, Brylyna or whatever, from the Mage Guild because she turned me into a horse.

I knew once that happened, I was in love.

So I got the the alter and then Lydia's dead body crashed the wedding. That was a sad day. ;(

I've had four skyrim characters, never had any of them get married. I absolutely hate games with tacked-on marriage systems that don't really change anything in the game. I remember being really ticked off when all I had to do to get a wife in Fable was run her around town for ten minutes and time a couple button presses right so I didn't kiss her the wrong way or whatever.
And Skyrim's... Well, it's even worse than that. Do a quick quest, wear a special amulet, bam. The character's dialog barely even changes, from what I've heard. Not only does it seem pointless, but the complete lack of change in the game because of it would break immersion for me, a lot. I'd rather keep my characters as single guys, roaming around Skyrim taking on whatever adventure befalls him with no worries or obligations to stop him.

Since, you know, that's kind of what skyrim was built to be.

I had no idea this was a Skyrim thread...I assumed this was about polamoury. I can't remember who I married but I only did it for the achievement. I'm disappointed that I joining the Dark Brotherhood didn't involve me murdering my spouse but I suppose that would have been overkill.

Why would anybody marry her? I got her a tusk once, and that was it. I went and married one of my companions after we had killed a few dragons. That right there is a bonding experience!

I married that one Nord guy at the mage's college...whatshisname. Oh, "Onmund."

He walked out of the chapel before the wedding ceremony was even over, and then I never saw him again. He wasn't at the college or any of my properties. Maybe he had second thoughts about marrying a Khajiit, but I'm guessing he got eaten by a bear or something on the way home.

I'm VERY broken up about it.

I know that I married someone, and I think they may have been in Whiterun when I met them, though I can't imagine I'd have married someone who isn't a Dunmer (what, I have my preferences), but I honestly paid it so little attention it was hardly worth noticing.
