Well, I think that is fair...Manhattan2112 said:Aw I love Douglas Adams.
Okay, I think that wishing for the ability to stop, start, slow down, and speed up the control of time is perfectly legitimate. But you say I can't have that?!
Yeah but I was wondering about the nature of wish granter's limits, the reason why can I not wish "I wish for super strength, flight, a healing factor etc" but I could wish "I wish to have superman's powers". Both have the same effect.johnzaku said:Well... no, I would consider that falling under the wishing for more wishes.BrynThomas said:Can I read out a list of super abilities (with clauses and explanations) and then wish for all the abilities I previously mentioned?
It's alright, now I know for when I get my powers...or isn't it how this thing works...well if it works that way then I'll just turn into an electron instead (try blowing that up bitches!!!)hiks89 said:just letting you kno the theory of a cock roach surviving a nuclear blast is a myth. the fact is that they could survive the radiation caused after...sorry for being a nerdShine-osophical said:I'd wish for total shape-shifting abilities (If I wanted to survive a nuclear blast turn into a cockroach, if I wanted to survive a bullet turn into a kevlar vest, if I wanted to live forever just change shape to a younger version of myself)
An excellent point. I still stand by wishing for "this and this and this" should not count, but you make a good argument.BrynThomas said:Yeah but I was wondering about the nature of wish granter's limits, the reason why can I not wish "I wish for super strength, flight, a healing factor etc" but I could wish "I wish to have superman's powers". Well, rule 3 states that you cannot wish for reality bending, so you will not get the wish to break my rules. I am god hereaxia777 said:I wish I am Q from Star Trek:TNG. I would be an immortal omipitant god like being with nearly unlimited powers. Q had control over most of the rules that run reality as human knew it. I would be a god in the eyes of all the humans on Earth. Then I would be able to grant anything in reality that I want. There, I broke all the rules with one wish.
Well that sucks. Then I would wish for 1 billion British pounds in an untraceable numbered bank account out of the Caimen Islands. I would live it up till I was dead. Charity and good living included. Peace.johnzaku said:Well, rule 3 states that you cannot wish for reality bending, so you will not get the wish to break my rules. Good point.johnzaku said:If you change it to 'cloud's abilities' it would include his knowledge of constructing said sword
In one of the versions I've read (not sure if its the original) of Aladin, there is also a genie in a ring, but he can only grant minor things and would tell the person if their wish was possible.johnzaku said:An excellent point. The point is to limit the power of the wish, and to keep it from being convoluted.
