Jacob's class power was Barrier, he's easily the most logical choice for projecting a field when you go through the collector ship, so WHY THE HELL DID SAMARA DIE?!? Likewise, if the second fireteam was to be a distraction, how can you get more of a distraction/hellraiser than Jack?

Jacob is good with barriers that's true, he's also the weakest biotic on the team by far. And Jack should never be a team leader! She's a moron, and not a little crazy.

I started a vanguard in ME1 after beating ME2 twice and it was painful. I thought I had liked the micromanagement of mods and weapons when playing ME1 but when I went back it felt like banging my head against a wall with stupid tasks. ME2 is superior in every way which makes me sad because i doubt ill ever really go back to playing ME1. Plus the controls are so switched up that it makes it that much tougher.

I tried that recently. It was horrible. Its hard to believe I thought that game was superior to every other game at one point. So much has changed. But I will finish the playthrough with my Sentinel character.

Both of those parts made me laugh so hard. Tali died though during that part for me, I thought "That's what you get for complaining."

That was horrible. I was so pissed by that. Damn collectors got what they deserved though.

Personally, I sent Jacob back to guard the crew on the way back, Garrus to lead the distraction team (he has experience in asymetic combat scenarios) and used Samarra to project the barrier. I also sent legion into the tube since he is presumably the bast hacker on the team and the most immune to temperature and atmosphere fluctuations. I did wonder if my choices would result in character deaths but none of them did - I assumed their success was based entirely on their loyalty but I guess I'm mistaken.
