You are better at talking to people online than in real life.

You have more friends on this site's forums than acquaintances in real life.
I get that. But only cos I'm shy in real life.

It's not a bad thing, I promise!!!!

You use the google search bar as an impromptu spell check.
Done far too many times for my liking.

Also, I can't resist:

I have a habit when I type on the internet of copy & pasteing a word into a search engine wheneve I'm not sure how to spell it. About 2 weeks ago in class I wasn't sure how to spell "cincinnanti" so for just a few seconds I tried to find the "hilight" and "copy" options on my paper.
Looks like you need to do it more often. HAR HAR HAR. (I am kidding)

EDIT: On reflection, you only really made three mistakes, and only two were spelling errors.

...When you feel compelled to put emotes in your English papers.

...When you don't believe someone can not know what WoW is.

...Even when it's your grandmother.

...When the internet goes out and you sit there refreshing for ten minutes, trying to will the connection back into existence.

...When it actually works.

... so many of these I have to admit are true in my case, XD. Anyhow...

- you attempt to use your keyboard to turn on your TV.
- you do not answer the phone but IM the person instead.
- your entire social life exists only on the Internet.
- you use your computer to do almost everything, watch TV, play video games, chat and complain when you have to get up.
- you start using IM lingo in normal real life conversations.
- you revisit the same few sites in hopes something new was posted.
- you have spent more than 24 hours on the computer, leaving it only for food or to use the bathroom.
- you pass out on your desk/keyboard
- (linked to the above) and upon waking up, you immediately check all your sites again.
- people start looking to you for answers because you have nearly memorized wikipedia.
- you have an online (only) girl/boyfriend
- your room is blank and dull, yet your desktop, screensaver and even your web browsers are all tricked out in some manner.

When you're talking to someone face-to-face and you say "be right back" to get them to shut up, but you're actually just standing in the same place.

When your girlfriend asks you "do you have protection" you reply "yeah, I have an awesome firewall."
OMG, I hope that no one's done this in real life.

There would be no way of describing the terrible humiliation . . .
