They got me all hyped up and it was quite disappointing. The AI was pants on head retarded and utterly stupid.
Radiant AI really was not all that Radiant... or Intelligent. This was one of my favorite vids of Radiant AI in action. Just a domino effect of stupidity.

I know I'm gonna be chewed for this but when I bought the Orange Box, Team Fortress 2 sucked ass.

Crackdown.

I had played the demo and thought it was awesome...

Then I bought the full game and wanted to castrate myself for it.

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly

Spells the beginning of a series of disgusting misrepresentations of one of my favourite game characters. It almost makes me hate Insomniac for allowing these people to do this.
Ditto.

Definitely the Halo franchise in total. I couldn't see what people were raving about. The action was same-y all the way through, I couldn't connect with my character because he had no damned face, and the story-line was so generic that I never wanted to watch a cut-scene more than once. All in all, very disappointing.

Oh, also, all 3d Sonic games, I keep getting stung by those, I just can't seem to learn.

If only you could sue on the basis of pre-launch hype, then PR guys might tone it down and give us a more realistic vision of what we'll be getting. Oh, to dream...

Need for Speed ProStreet. I enjoyed most of the games in the franchise I had played but this was such a total removal from all the others, it was boring and the difficulty curve was shocking.

Prototype was a it of a dissapointment too after all the hype I had seen for it, I got it and was left with a massive 'meh'.

Fable: I was so looking foreword to that game. It was promised that it would be more open ended as Morrowind with I remember a quote being something like "Games such as Morrowind, you can play around for a while, but the storyline eventually will catch up to you. Not so with Fable". Pre-ordered it, picked it up on release day, and... hated it. Not to mention all the open ended crap being lies. That story never catching up to you? If you spend more than 30 seconds not doing a mission the guild leader guy yells at you about having important quest cards.

Spore: Not much to say on this one. I actually liked it a lot, honestly, just kinda wish I had bought the normal version instead of the $80 'Galactic edition'.

Batman: Arkham Asylum: Now before everyone gets all bent out of shape, this is a fantastic game. Only problem is I beat it and found all of the riddles in like, a day and a half. I'm not disappointed that I played it, I'm disappointed that I paid $60 for it instead of $8 by renting it.

Having to press down on the analog button to blink in Alone in the Dark.

Waste of $60.

Agree with DistinctlyBenign regarding Batman: Arkham Asylum. Got all 1000 gamerscore in about 2 days and traded it in. Got a hell of a lot of store credit too as it was such a new release.

Oh, and I forgot to mention Alone in the Dark, which was absolute garbage and made me want to cry. Never let nostalgia for a franchise lull you into trusting it completely.

I can barely finish easiest mode.

I'm not going to "chew" you, but why?

I mean, at least give a reason, so most of us don't have to guess.

Far Cry 2.

Mostly because it was at about the time that I was thinking about building myself a new PC and after watching some Far Cry 2 videos I decided that yeah, I was going to upgrade. It wasn't the game that made the decision but it had significant influnce on it and to have it be so... mediocre to the extent of even being considerably bad at times just made it a massive dissapointment.

The graphics looked nice on my new PC though.

Warhammer Online
Dawn of War: Soulstorm
Resident Evil 5
Evil Genius
Universe at War
And finally the biggest disappointment of all: Spore.

Prototype. Maybe I just wasn't that good at it, but I thought the as one the most powerful things ever you got smacked around quite a bit.
