See this is why I'm a dog person.

They don't require attention.....You know I haven't seen Frisky in awhile.

Luckily for me i don't like cats, so their cries for attention are nothing more than examples of their displeasure (YAY!!!) and i leave them to it.

The only cat I've ever liked can't physically purr.
But he can meow, and we have conversations.

He also likes to kill little critters, and he's got a nick missing from his ear from a battle with another cat. He also got bitten by the Akita next door, and he thought he was hot shit for it. He'd show off the wound, not even kidding.

He also looks almost exactly like the cat in the image, on the bottom. But skinnier.

So basically purring annoys me, but I'm not shocked by this revelation. Ever heard of puppy dog eyes? They know exactly what they're doing.

I was always vaguely aware of this.
Hence why I am so darn good at ignoring it nowadays.
You'll not take me, you feline fiends!

They domesticated themselves, they manipulate us for food...anyone that says cats aren't that smart is clearly wrong. They are cunning little bastards.

Which is why I love cats so.

Not surprising.

Honestly, the way they act around my friend's mom is practical illegal...

It's like she's a slave to them. :(

If a cat jumps in your lap its because your lap is warm.
Indeed, but I prefer intelligence over obedience so am happy to let them.
I second this, and I think we need more pictures and videos of cats on this thread.

If that's not cute to you (in a manly way of course) then you have no soul. Fact.

They do have breeds of cat that have the same characteristics as dogs, like loyalty, and doing tricks and whatnot.

i'm sorry but my cat loves me, i don't care what the study says and it doesn't mean that the cats have no affection for you. like it said, their noises are similar to that of babies; is anyone saying that babies don't love their parents? i, having had a cat in the family since i was six, cannot believe that cats don't love their owners (even if they do manipulate them).
i mean he actually sleeps by my head on the very egde of the bed, it's not the most comfortable spot in the room but he chooses to sleep there anyway because he like being around me

HA! This is the proof I've been waiting for. My dad keeps saying Dogs are smarter than Cats and that all they do is sleep for 22 hours a day and are incapable of intelligent thought. Now I can show him this article and say, "so...you were saying dad?" Thank you science.
