Phantom Crash, an absolutely fantastic customise and battle mech game. The story is pretty much non-existent/crap, but the gameplay was incredibly fun

The Penumbra series. Some of the best horror games i have ever played.
I got Penumbra Overture from the Humble Indie Bundle a while back and that game had me so tense the entire time... nothing scary was even happening, too. The atmosphere was perfect.

Golden Sun.
I fucking love that game.

Anyway, for me it would probably be Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, although it's not that obscure.

Golden Sun was awesome, as was Shadow Hearts, but my favorite would probably be Legend of Legaia for the PSX. I've played that game at least 4 times.

Road Rash? It was a motorcycle racing / fighting game for the N64. I traded one of my Kirby games for it...
Not sure what the N64 version was like, but the Playstation version was fantastic! That is one game that I'd love to play again... And if I remember correctly it had a soundtrack by Soundgarden and various other cool rock bands...

Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg :)
The Story was a lot of fun, but the local multiplayer was where it was at.

LEGO: Alpha Team, anyone?
Ahh, childhood memories... I still have that in my closet somewhere along with Island, Racers, Racers 2, Chess, Creator Knights Kingdom, and maybe another one or two other classic lego games...
Same here, they were so damn fun! I'm considering getting a second hard drive and booting Windows 2000 on it JUST to play those old games. (They don't wanna work on XP T^T)

Anyways, I'd have to say my "obscure" game is Shin Megami Tensei for the SNES. I'm sure some people have at least heard of the series, but I doubt many have played the first SMT on the SNES. (mainly because they never localized it, the bastards. Thank god for fan translations.) It's a little dated, but very fun, with a pretty deep moral choice system. (Good or bad? Hah! Everything depends on YOUR perspective. Heck of a lot better then some modern games have done.) Oh, and let's not forget the whole "Gotta catch 'em all!" aspect with the many, MANY demons you can convince to join you, and then fuse to get MORE demons.

(And yes, I'm aware that SMT wasn't THE first, since there were the two Megami Tensei games before it, but it was the first Shin Megami Tensei game, which has now become their flagship series.)

Omega Boost for PSX. I loved that game so much. Flying a giant mech around in space, blowing shit up. Everything was horrendouly polygonal, but still the gameplay was super advanced for it's time (or so I believed at the time).

........TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL that's what she said!... *ahem* I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. Anyway I tend to play quite popular games generally but I guess not that many people have heard of feeding frenzy, that's an ok game
