hand drawn art. I think the cel shaded prince of persia game had an amazing look. Also TF2.

I'm really excited about the look of the new zelda game as well.

Basically, anything OTHER than realism.

Am I the only one who goes for classic colorful 2D????

Seriously though, anything that looks good. I don't care what kind it is as long as it's good.

I like mine to look pretty realistic, but vibrant and appealing at the same time. And good, boviously. For me, though, art design is important, not just graphical quality. Generally, the more "epic" it is the more I like it.

Mainly the ones from the Unreal Engine 3.

The Locust's underground world and architecture design in Gears 2 are just amazing to look at.

Metro 2033 was very spectacular. I made a very short video that shows a little bit of how crazy it looks

So, that game. Also, STALKER: Call of Pripyat is very nice. I just downloaded some mods for high res textures and additional atmospheric effects which I haven't had a chance to check out, however, just the vanilla game looks very nice but especially with shading and lighting it's fantastic. Being in a dark rainy thunderstorm is just incredible.

Cartoony. Doesn't matter if it's cell shaded or whatever, I like the cartoony style because it's the only style that seems to do something other than grit and grime.

Yeah it has that je-ne-sais quoi to it,you play the games just for those backgrounds that get you in the atmosphere, always misterious, always driving your imagination.

You don't have to know what type it is specificaly,or what is so special, just post an image of a game you really enjoy, visually.

Mine is stuff like this, from Deus Ex. I can tell I will not tire easily of playing this.

The new Deus Ex's art style was actually inspired partly by Mirror's Edge... so I gotta go with them

See that is too realistic to me,it goes beyond the point I like them to go, I think I like graphics with a little less detail,so I can make my own visual ideea.

Only problem I have with those is the lack of colours,I mean,ok we use red orange, blue for many areas, but why not tear them up a bit, like a darker tone to everything.I like it,but it get's tiring to my eyes after a while.

Mirror's Edge and the 2008 Prince of Persia had such brilliant aesthetics to them.
But alas, I must admit that there is one true champion:

Okami just doesn't seem to age graphically. It remains breathtaking.

but look at the way they use motion blur, lighting, and detail. it all comes together very well in my opinion and if you look at the later levels they aren't all in the same sterile environment like the sewer level and night time roof top levels...

Can't say I like a particular brand of graphics. The kinds I like are a bit inconsistent actually. I like the look MvC3 but I hated SF4. I like COD4 but not really MW2 (if that makes any kind of sense) I hated the look of the rebooted Prince of Persia. I liked Blazblue. I didn't like Final Fantasy XIII, I liked XII. I didn't like Assassin's Creed (except for Jerussalem) and I like Assassin's Creed 2 a lot.

I could go on but I won't.

Cell-Shading, HD style. Much like Prince of Persia, the reboot.

Also, the Unreal Engine 3 houses one of my most favourite graphics of all time. It's stunning.
Oh yeah, the PoP '08 style was amazing. Other than that, I'm a full realism kinda guy. I want things as close to what they look like/would look like for fantasy/sci-fi.

I adore the embers in that Gear of War 2 level.

I can see how I might look too detailed and busy to some, but I love it.

If I had to describe it I'd call it stylized detail/realism. They done it in way that makes it more enjoyable to look at. Or maybe I'm just a graphics whore.

Yes! I grew up with games running in MS-DOS, usually 320x200 with 256 colors, so low resolution gets my nostalgia glands going. Games seemed to get less interesting with the jump from 320x200 to 640x480, probably because everything looked like what it was supposed to look like. Your brain didn't have to fill the gaps, no need for imagination.

FarCry 2 has awesome graphics. I also like Oblivion's graphics (if they were made to be a bit smoother that is, I bet they would be incredible).
