Wait, I didn't know Deus Ex had such great graphics.

How do I describe this.. realistic.

How can anyone not love that!? I mean the sunset not pushing the guy off the roof.
Wow! That's at least four shades of brown!

OT: Cel-shaded awesomeness.
You're looking at the building? I'm looking at the beautiful sunset and sea. Perhaps these screenshots are better.

The image would look good if not for the ugly brown filter and massive amounts of bloom effects thrown over it (though it's still not as bad as what San Andreas does). The other two images are much, much better.

I like the look of Uncharted 2. It's realistic looking but with a colourful and cartooney style.

I personally find God of War3 more realistic looking. (See my previous comment above)

XIII was a very original game in the perspective that it was a 3D shooter but had graphics that made you feel like you were in a comic book. Well found and quite nice.

I really love cartoon style, or the cell-shading, like Okami, really love that game. But I really like this one too:

the way it's made, you have the feeling it's actually on paper.

and well, I always like those old rts graphics

The new starcraft is cool too!

Woah, hang on a sec. Your pictures aren't exactly a rainbow of colour, orange and green are the only ones that are different.

On topic. the realer (thats a word! according to my computer anyway) the better. I just don't like games that pour everything into graphics and tack on a story and gameplay as an after thought.

Am I the only one who goes for classic colorful 2D????
Rule #1 of the Internet: you are never the only one. I also like spritework/pixel art, mainly for one reason: 3D graphics will only look good until something better comes along. Sprites will look good forever (assuming they were made well to begin with).

Case in point: Super Metroid is still as good-looking as it was over a decade ago:

I also like what Rare did with the Donkey Kong Country games, and use 3D models to create 2D sprites:

But really, I'm not too picky about graphics. As long as the game is fun, I couldn't care less whether I'm playing as a guy from Crysis or as the letter A.

Colors? DKC2 was very muted when it came to colors. DKC3's were more satruated, and hence much brighter (and "pretty"), and they were also more varied.
