Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun. It was the first RTS I ever played! Though apparently it didn't go down so well when it was released. Meh, it was fun for me.

Skies of Arcadia, and if that's still too well known then Chex Quest. Breakfast cereal ad/Doom clone that it is, I still loved the heck out of that game as a kid.

Also, if Shadow Hearts is considered obscure then add that to my list.

Nier! It's probably my favorite game from this years...<.<
If you liked Nier, have you played Drakengard, by chance? :3

Anyway, probably...hm...Rule of Rose, Resonance of Fate, and Drakengard. Those are probably my favorite "underrated" underrated games, since I'm lucky if I come across a person every so often that's at least heard of one of them.

Rise of the Argonauts. No one liked it, no one bought it, I think it's one of the best, most atmospheric games ever made. Amazing story, great characters, and the leveling up system is one of the greatest ever concieved.

Freedom Fighters springs to mind. What an awesome, awesome game.
Oh God, I will never forget that game. Seriously it's one of my favorite games of all time.

OT: One of my favorite FPS's will always be Close Combat: First to Fight, which fortunately has aged very, very well.

I have yet to play Drakengard but I've been meaning to since I hear they both take place in the same universe...<.<

Heh, I'll bring up an old childhood memory with Rock Raiders. I even managed to amaze myself by beating that impossible penultimate level with the slugs that ate your crystals. Great game, and rather unique, too.

Cryostasis and Spiderman web of shadows got reviews that were really underwhelming. i loved both even though i was told id hate them.
Web of Shadows is 10 times better than Shattered Dimensions.

OT: Redneck Rampage, basically Duke Nukem if he was replaced by the Squidbillies (it did use the same Duke Nukem engine).

More or less, yes. Nier stems off of one of the endings (out of 4) of Drakengard. But yeah, awesome game series. Don't expect something like that Nier, though, I'll warn you now. I did that with Nier (expected something like Drakengard) and walked away disappointed, so I'm sure the opposite applies too.

Ok let me explain this VERY clearly. When I say "Underrated" Underrated Game I am talking about games that most people have looked over and/or totally forgotten about. Also I'm NOT talking about "Famous" Underrated games like Ico, Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil. So I will go first with my two choices "Indigo Prophecy" for XBOX/PS2 and "Out of this World" for SNES/GENESIS
Penumbra series, Culpa Innata, Fear Effect 1 and 2, portal prelude.

Its specialty is being bizarre. Everything in that game is a so off the wall that it can qualify as a bit of a mind screw, not to mention pretty sick and twisted. And yet, it's still an amazing series. xD

The Little King's Story. Don't look at me like that, the game was actually good once you got past the kiddy graffics.
*Embraces you in a totally non sexual way*
Its always good to know there are others who actually put in the effort and play games like this, despite the apparently overwhelming opinion that it must be for kids because of the graphics (which were simply beautiful in my opinion).

LKS is a great game and doesn't get nearly enough attention.

Come on now, mind screws are the best part of everything...<.<

Beat Hazard, it was like someone made a boiling pot and then tossed both Asteroids and Audiosurf into the pot and mixed them together.
