ime suprised alot of people actually like the merchants in oblivion. i really didnt like them. they were all the same to me. time to add another to the list. murgo form fable 2. i want what hese selling. unless it grants me a wish that ends up having my sister killed and having to go on a long ass adventure. or transport me back in time. come to think of it screw murgo!
Oh yeah, I remember Moneybags from the Spyro series, he was really funny. He kind of reminds me of money grubbing, big business owners and as much as I hated giving gems to him, you had to give the gems to him to progress in the game. It was funny at the very end when you could steal back all the gems you gave him, he kinda deserved it in a way.Chesterfield Snapdragon McFisticuffs said:

Any merchant in Fable II, they love me so much that no matter what I buy, they say it's the greatest thing they've ever seen.

Also Thoronir in Oblivion is a good merchant. He's easy to find and he buys all my crap. Though I find it a bit odd that he's willing to buy a poisoned apple and pay a good amount of money for it. What the hell would he do with that?

The one thing I hate about all merchants is that they lose that nifty sword you sold them a second ago.
Its been far too often that I sold a sword only to realize that its the best one I've got, and I ask for it back. If the characters spoke I'd think it was like this:
RPG Protagonist: Hey how much is this sword?
Merchant: 20,000 gold.
RPG Protagonist: Awesome! Here take it!
Team Healer (usually a girl): That was your best sword.
RPG Protagonist: Really? CRAP hey Mr. Merchant can I get my sword back?
Merchant: Sorry we're all out.
RPG Protagonist: But... I saw you holding it.
Merchant: I'm sorry all my stocks are gone, I'll check in the back if you want.
RPG Protagonist: We're in the woods...
Because of this I never buy from in-game merchants and find all my equipment though goold old slaying.
