Is it Call of Duty 4's "all ghillied up"?
That was quite the immersive level, even though I'm not really fond of the newer CoD's
Aye it was quite a good level! I quite like CoD campaign missions, they're quite high quality

Wow, that's a phenomenally hard question. Ummm...several come to mind. Shy Guy's Toy Box and the following Volcano Island in Paper Mario
Hell...Yes.

All ghillied up was great as it was so different and done so well.
Also click clock wood from banjo-kazooie. That level had everything.
...And now I'm reminded of the Forest in Donkey Kong 64, the one floating up above the island that you had to cannon to.

[sub]Can I make that into a verb? Someone call me out on that if it doesn't work with the formal rules of the language, please.[/sub]

I have to say "City Escape" from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I can't tell you how many times I went through that level, doing its missions, farming for chao drives, or just doing it for the fun of it. The music was damn catchy too.

"All ghillied up" was pretty awesome. Just a really well designed level. That sniper shot took me a dozen tries, though.

I don't remember what it was called, but the last level in Gears of War 2, where you ride the Brumack...up until the "final boss" was just great. I honestly don't know who's idea that boss was, but that gave me such a case of "wait, THAT was it? FFFFFF-"

ALL of Super Mario World.

If that doesn't count, the Canada level from Sly 2. The snowy landscape, the trains coming and going, the calm banjo music in the background - I love it there!

Mute City, F Zero!

I guess you couldn't call it a level as such but the Forest Temple in Orcarina of Time.

Actually could because the awesome music in both.

Yeah Ravenholm and Ghillied Up were fantastic.

Angel Island zone of Sonic 3, Awesome.

Oni Island from Okami. The level is alright and well put together especially the maze part, but the best part of the level would be the boss fight.

Goodness, what a question (good question though). Errr...

In FFX my favourite level is going through to Zanakand on the road. The music is utterly, utterly heartbreaking especially after the previous cut scene and the music isn't broken up by battle music or fan fare music so you just get this errie sense that the battle's far from over. Fantastic! (Oh, but those fans are a pain in the neck).

In Lemmings I love the level on 'fun' where you just use blokers (fans of Lemmings know which level I mean). It's just great fun. As is the level also on 'fun' where it's all greens, blues and blacks and the exit is encased in a wierd lattice pyramid, that's ace. Dunno why I like it.

The vault in Fallout 3 where you kept hallucinating. That freaked me the hell out. I left before I even explored all of the vault.
Come to think of it, I love pretty much all of the vaults in that game.

The Lungfishopolis level in Psychonauts where you rampage around the mind of Lisa the Lungfish as GOGGOLOR. No contest.

Super Mario bros 1-1

Every first level of any sonic game.
every first level on every sonic game i've currently played. my favourite in particular being the one from Sonic Adventure 2. best opening level i've ever played.

i'm also fond of the level on Harvest moon... that thingy majig one.. you know, where you don't farm and you stop playing and live a normal life. yeah, i quite like that one. Its much better then the current level i'm in, having repercussions in real-life, desperatly wanting the game but knowing that it will only hurt me more the closer i get.

fighting sin and entering its mouth, i'd also include "inside of sin" as part of the level too. all within in FFX. mainly the first area, where you battle up and reach Seymour Guado (who somehow ended up inside of sin, being the awesome beast who won't die that he is). Mainly just for the music in the final battle against Seymour, but also because of how awesome and hard the game suddenly becomes as you rush up head-first against (supposedly) the biggest threat in all of FFX-land (i forgot the name... Spira! i remembered now -_-)

Resident evil 4, i'm very fond of the level where you fight two of the Garganta at once, just because fighting them both is quite fun. i always try to not trap them in the molten metal pit, because then i don't get the money for the kill -_-
