the proving grounds in bioshock. lets just say its as terrible an escort mission as they get.

countless times i took pipes and big daddy drills to the face because that little annoyance i was escorting decided to run directly in my way in a manner that completely prevented me from just friggin MOVING AT ALL. and of course, despite all that, i still felt like a bastard when i inevitably failed to protect the twit...

Civ 5, getting my B52 blown out of the sky...by rocks.

Alternatively, having a city get sacked by a couple Spearmen, as I chip away ineffectually with my cities missiles.

Not really unfair, per se, but absurdly difficult fights in games that kill me with increasingly bullshitty attacks over an over again are what make me yell "Come the fuck on!"

Just decided to experiment with the "sneak + melee" build in New Vegas...apparently knifing Sunny Smiles from behind makes you fail a quest even though the quest no longer needs her. I had to go talk to Trudy, then the quest ended. so how does killing a ***** i was going to kill anyway make me fail that?

also the stat entry entry system is New Vegas. i understand it's design, but i'm pissed off that it's physically impossible to create a smooth-talking Sniper with kleptomania who uses silenced bullets to lure dumb-ass enemies into explosive traps. i mean i CAN level up all the skills necessary, but there aren't enough perks to be able to be properly effective in all those areas.

also, where the fuck have the 3 frag mines outside the NCR outpost at Primm gone? whenever i decide to blunder across that bridge, all 3 of them are there. but now i actually WANT to get them and use them, suddenly the NCR have forgotten to place basic defenses!

Some of the AC: Brotherhood online.
Seriously? I jump literally about 10 meters off a building to Air Assassinate this guy, and he magically just... hops out of the way? I was feckin' Incognito! Stunned me too, the bastard.
This has happened to me a few times also. Also in Uncharted 2 online, when someone gets a pull down on me when I had already jumped OVER them and to another area. I some how get warped back into the spot I was at and pulled down to my doom.

Street Fighter IV, Seth, first time with Sakura.

168 tries.

BLAAAAAGH.
Ahhhhh Seth. It took me and 3 other friends quite some time to beat him (on easy mind you) with...well a lot of people the night we all played it. After that I got rid of the game because I was so fed up with such a cheesy boss. Same with the boss in Guilty Gear Isuka, so friggin' bad!

A lot of the time in AC2, especially during Assassin Tombs, Ezio would ignore the direction I told him to go in and fall to the floor, occasionally dying. It was a complete and utter piss take.
This happens to me WAY too much in that game, and in ACB even.

My personal moment: Dragon Quest 8. I breezed through 99% of the game, no real problems or hard times with fights. Get to the last boss and I must have failed 30 times. So I give up for a day, my friend comes over and beats him first try. My strategy (though it ALMOST worked) ended up being a bad idea. It was even one suggested to try when I looked online for advice. My friend just attacked the crap out of the boss and healed when necessary and won in no time. He DID already have his copy of the game beaten, but still, man it pissed me off.

Also a lot of moments of combat in Bayonetta. I won't even get into them because it was just all over that game.

Getting charged off the bridge in L4D2 on expert.

And it was a pretty good run too.

Playing ME2 on insanity certainly made me angry. I beat it on normal and said "Hey, I can probably beat it on insanity too." No. I couldn't. At all.

It's like a completely different game. Your shield goes down after a few shots and the weakest enemies can kill you with two headshots. :[

Here is a conversation i had with a little 10 year old fucker while playing MW2. [on the pc mind you]

Kid: "Yo wuttup ma niggas, im gunna pop a cap in your white asses." [I shit you not this is word for word, and coming from a squeaky kid who clearly sounded white]

Me: "Language young man, that is not very appropriate video game behavior."

Kid: "Shutup white *****, i own you cause im black, and i had sex with your mom last night."

Me: "Oooh, never heard that one before. And thats a little underage for you isnt it?"

Kid: "Hay fuck you, i have a two foot long dick that i use to fuck your mom with" -_-

Some other guy: "Are you going to say your having sex with his mom right now next?"

*Much laughter from people who were listening*

Kid: "Fuck all of you, im on the top of the list, pwning all cho white crackers!"

*Just about everyone presses tab and sees hes the worst on his team with an 3/8 Kill Death ratio*

*Awkward silence from the kid, then he rage quites*

*Much laughter after that*

I dont meet many of these legendary creatures of the night, so its nice to screw with them when i do. :D

EDIT: And for good measure, i finished the match with 24 kills, 7 deaths. Killing people on the new Call of Duty games feels like a chore to me.

This is a recent one: human enemies in Fallout New Vegas. according to what i'd been told by the OFFICIAL GUIDE no fucking less, if you shot a SILENCED gun and hit a wall near a human or otherwise intelligent enemy they'd go and investigate the area near the wall.

silenced Ratslayer...i was so far away it was almost impossible for ME to see HIM without the scope. it was at night. i was crouched, registering as Hidden.

i fire into the wall a few yards away from him, at which point he immediately charged right in my direction, quickly being joined by 3 of his friends who were REALLY nowhere near the wall i shot into.

Getting to the end of the last level of Super C (Contra) from the virtual console on the Wii, without using the code, with no lives left, and the D-pad gets stuck.

Persona 4 second to last boss. After you beat his first form who is only hard because he has a bullshit instant death move that he randomly spams. His second form pops out of nowhere and they don't have the courtesy to refill your hp and mp and he spends the whole fight spamming your characters' weaknesses so he can get an extra attack... and he attacks twice to begin with.

Also when they throw a smoke bomb right as you attack and you end up missing them. That's happen to me so many times. I'm also getting fed up with the morphers. I have to throw a firecracker (Just got templar vision today) and as soon as I do, they stun me with a smokebomb.
I agree greatly with the first part of your statement. How the S#*% is that meant to work. I mean, you're about launch you attack, you're a second from grabbing the fool and then a smokebomb goes off and you miss by a mile. they normally haven't evened moved an inch at that point!

...

Although I have to admit, I'm guilty of the second part. I'm sorry but the first thing my mind says when hit by a firecracker is to smokebomb and RUN! ... Although I also only use morph when hunting my target.

Getting in a gunfight with anyone using a famas, AUG, AK74u, or galil in Black Ops. As well as getting spawn killed 19 times in a row by a chopper gunner that a 7 and 19 player got in a carepackage. Also people who use ghost, and the utter lack of bullet penetration in the game unless you have hardened.

And creepers.

The bits in cod online (pretty much all of them) when the bullets dont even register becaus the game knows you lost the fight. Its so annoying when you just sit there firing, knowing your gonna die due to this fault.

Another is the control failure deaths. When your trying to speed things that you have already done up, up comes a jump

Press jump

Character falls to death

Look at controller in disbelief.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I'm flying a plane from point A to point B, because damned if I'm going to drive for three hours to get across the most sparse and boring map I have ever seen. I had nowhere to land, so I bailed, figuring I'd parachute down, except for some reason, I didn't have a parachute. I fell, bounced off of a crop-duster flying past, bounced off of a tree, then a barn, then a truck and onto the ground and lost only my armour and no health.

I wandered over to a nearby road to jack a car and complete my travels and got hit by - I shit you not - a dude on a bicycle. I died.
That is the greatest thing i have ever read.
