Yet again self-entitled moralistic fucks forcing their beliefs down our throat.

I thought you damn Yankees moved to the new world to escape this kind of shit.
How dare you force your individualistic beliefs down my throat! I demand to be told what to think, this goddamned instant!
Fine! Khell is God, Scientology is true evil, and it's not "Cheap" for someone to buy dollar-store merchandise for certain things where quality truly doesn't matter. Wuahahahaha!
THANK YOU. It's about time someone put his foot down and enforced some damned standards.

Wow... I am proud to own almost every game on this list.

This list is some of the most hateful and rediculous drivel that I have ever seen.

Christians take note... this is why I dislike you as a group, because you allow people like this to have such a loud voice while the rest (and saner) of you remain quiet leaving mostly us atheists to combat fundamentalism.
So not wanting to expose your children to something you think is wrong is something horrible now? While I agree that Christians who harras homosexuals are really acting quite silly they don't really have to embrace the ideals of it.

If some people want to be conservative in their gift buying; let them and don't complain.
If people aren't allowing their kids to play games based on sexual-preference, then the world is ruled by the Hyper-Controlling Jesus freaks that cause mental disorders in their children, and send them to camps that "Pray The Gay Away". If there is a god(and that's a different fight), then don't you think that he or she wanted some choice, or else people would all be clones, and there wouldn't be Ryan Seacrest?

Yes, without going all the way to "imagined soldiery love between the manly men." :D Mind you, I haven't played any of the Gears, but it is not my impression that sex is what it's about.

That said, this was fun reading.

I cant be bothere to read it all again to check but was that the one where under deamons it was like "Fighting the forces of darkness and sending them back to hell"

ummm.... hello? Thats a good thing right? I mean, its like training or something surely?

When the second coming comes round, if we see it, i wanna read that bit to the guys that wrote this and point out that it would make them morally corrupt to fight evil........... see how they respond

Gah. This is depressing...why the constant gay bashing? If Jesus existed he was a tolerant hippy type, not a conservative dick. Some Christians seem to miss this.

Weeeeell, the anti-gay stuff comes in Leviticus, where we are also told that eating pork and not stoning a disobedient child to death will also cause us to be smitten (IE. sickened. Realistic interpretations could consider Leviticus a hygiene manual, listing possible disease vectors.)

So the next time a fundie sits down to his bacon and eggs, remind him he might just as well be sucking off his son under the breakfast table.
Thing about the verse in Leviticus (you know "a man shall not lie with a man as with a woman") is its taken completely out of context (and I'm getting tired of bringing this up all the time homosexuality is linked to the bible). The verses before and after were basically "don't be like the Canaanites or Egyptians," and many historians point to them having had a sort of (lack of a better term) Temple prostitute, who one would sleep with if they wanted divine intervention. Some were male. Many people, my Rabbi included, believe this is what the bible was referring to.

EDIT:

I'm thinking that's when Dom's dreaming about Maria and she's like "The kids are at my mother's and we've got the whole day to ourselves."

I partly agree with you, but just to play devil's advocate, the introduction to their guide says: 'We understand, with this being a controversial issue, that some may not agree with more complete information being made available to those without the time, temperament or even talent to completely research the content of the wide array of video games presently available. However, we hope all will respect the rights of everyone to raise their children in a way they feel best matches their values and beliefs.'
Yeah, sorry Khell, but this time I'm gonna have to agree with Burld. They aren't forcing their beliefs down anyone's throat. This is probably the least aggressive campaign that any fundies have launched.

Ironically they bash things like Lord of the rings and kids programs but any program they make (plugged in is owned by Family.org and own a few publishing studios and dominoes pizza) is instantly "Christian like" i.e. Chronicles of Narnia" which is ironically since if your in Narnia your a closet homosexual.

As long as there is a belief, a religion or even a thought, there will always be some cock-end there to pervert it.

Or the internet will, but that's a given.

Anyway, I'm mad about the way they treated Bioshock. How is it, in any way, not religious, in a greater sense:
You create a peaceful world. Great!
You try to play God, and everyone gets screwed over.
Bioshock allows one to enter this dystopia and save innocent little girls.
Sure its violent, but its nothing compared to the events of, lets say, the Lebanese Civil War. (which was initiated and fuelled by radical Christian actions)
Actually, Rapture has laws against being Christian. I could see that as being a huge turnoff for Christians making a list such as this.
I thought it was a very baddass part of the game when you realize that all the "contraband" everyone was getting arrested for was really religious artifacts because people couldn't shake their need to be religious.
In fact, in that sense, the game is far more pro-religion than some passerby might realize.

Interesting.....
I'm curious *as i can't download the thing for some inexplicable reason*
Do they say that NOONE should buy these games, or that it should be limited to a specific age group?
If it is the prior, then i have to say, why just videogames? Hell, my school has done homesexual plays, there is definitly more violence in American Psycho or Saw then in Far Cry 2, and Sex...well its in everything.... So are they going to reccomend we just avoid the entertainment buisness alltogether...following its logic of course.

I couldn't read past the phrase "Morally responsible investment firm" without raucous laughter splitting my sides until my internal organs rupture and spill out of my body.
