Starting with the newest, all from Steam:

5 ?
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn Of War - Platinum edition
Including Dawn of War, Winter Assault and Dark Crusade
Totally worth it. I've played DoW the first time in 2004, so it wasn't that big of a surprise. It also looks better than I remembered

50 ?
Fallout: New Vegas
Pre-purchased so I got a little supm extra.
I suppose it's worth the money. Only 10 hours clocked in so far. I have played Fallout 3 a bunch before this.

25 ?
Team Fortress 2 & Garry's Mod
A bundle.
Team Fortress 2 was better than I expected, and it seems like I'm good at this with just having ten years of experience from different versions of Counter-Strike.
I've played Garry's Mod when it was still a free mod, so it has changed quite a bit. I suppose it's fun to mess around with the Source-engine every once in a while, if I happen to feel like it.

Splinter Cell: Conviction -- Dude this game made me jizz in my pants. It was that awesome for me.

Alan Wake -- I loved the storyline and add-ons. It was just amazing.

Dead Rising 2 -- Damn skippy. Although it DOES get repetitive at times...

Dante's Inferno, which was OK,but a little easy and short. Borderlands, which I really like for a little bit of a chuckle and to kill time with friends. Fallout: New Vegas, which is pretty good if you can appreciate the little bits of humor in it and look past the occasional bugs.

Uhm....... its been a while.

Demon's souls: Easily the most "worth it" game ive bought in the last 5 years, if not the last friggen decade.

Final Fantasy XIII : technically, I guess it was because I bought it used for 7$

I bought Star Ruler, RUSE and I gifted AI War Fleet Command + all expansions to a friend.
I've gotta say those purchases were all worth it.
Star Ruler is amazing, you can build space ships the sisze of planets, even galaxies.

It's also extremely moddable.

RUSE is a great strategy game (played the beta) and I gift AI War to practically anyone who I know will play it with me.

DJ Hero (Turntable Bundle)- Fun, though I don't like the music as much as 1. It was still worth it. I just haven't found time to play it due to New Vegas and school. T_T

Fallout: New Vegas- even with the bugs and glitches, it has more content then most games, so yes.

Dead Rising 2- good replay value and very enjoyable, so yes.

In order from most recent to oldest

Starcraft 2: Definately, I play it all the time and it's great. I just wish we got to keep the campaign units online.

Dragon Age: It was worth it, purely because of Alastair; despite the rather padded storyline, and the incredibly easy, but boring combat.

Left 4 Dead: This game is incredibly fun, there's nothing quite like the suspence when you get to the end of a map and get into the truck/boat/helicopter or whatever, and then some griefer runs away from everything and having to hold out until they manage to get themselves killed.

I also want to say Spellforce Universe, which I bought for $20 NZ. It was so worth it, even if I never really got into SF, the second game was worth the price in its own right.

Edit: I just realised that all of these were released a year apart XD

I think the last 3 games I bought were for people on the Escapist IRC channel. They said they enjoyed them so I would consider those a solid investment :D

I think the last 3 games I bought were:

The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom
Europa Universalis 3
Red Dead Redemption

EU 3 was worth the money, even if I haven't played with it a great deal over the last few months.

Settlers wasn't what I thought it would be and Red Dead is fucking boring as hell...or at least it is when you get tired of decimating local wildlife populations...

The last 3 games I bought were Halo Reach, New Vegas and Fable 3.
I got limited editions of all 3 and thus am now broke. Was it worth it?

Yes.

Undead Nightmare (Red Dead Redemption) - Good fun, short and action-packed. Worth downloading.

Medal of Honor - Single player campaign was OK I guess. I got a few hours fun from the Online play, but it's not as good as Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Singularity - I would recommend this one - not many people bought it but it's actually quite good.
Cold War + Zombies + Time Travel = Awesome.

Last three in reverse order:

- Fallout: New Vegas. $50 for a game that's not only the overwhelming favorite for Game of the Year (I haven't played Civ5 yet but I haven't called a Civ game GotY since Alpha Centauri in 1999, so I don't think 5 will convince me---FWIW, I called Hearts of Iron 2 my '05 GotY over Civ4.) but a legit top ten of all-time game even with the bugs. A few patches and some DLC and we might be looking at a legit challenge for best game I've ever played. I'd say it's worth the price of admission.

- Patrician IV. $40 for a game that was probably worth half that but I'm going to get a great deal of play hours out of it so I'm not complaining too loud. Not great, but not bad, and gets bonus points for being an actual trading sim and city builder that doesn't suck---I didn't think they made those anymore!

- Victoria II. Another "$40 for a $20 game" purchase---Paradox games on the Clausewitz engine just plain aren't as good as the ones on the old Europa engine. I will say this, though---the 1.2 patch made the game solid enough that I really have no trouble recommending it to hardcore Paradox fans (who, let's face it, are the only folks buying their games anyway---it's a tight niche.)
