First run through Custom Robo for the GameCube the Final boss took me several tries since you didn't have any of the "illegal" parts and in Metroid Prime 2 against Dark Samus 2nd encounter the morph ball fight is ridiculous.

Halo 2.

Tartarus on Legendary. Jesus. Fucking. God. I emptied, and I mean emptied, dual Brute Plasma Rifles into his head (Be aware that this can only be done every five minutes or so because of his shield) as well as multiple Carbines. The only way that I beat him was by finding a place out of his reach and shooting him in the face for about an hour.
I slightly cheated on that by taking a banshee in with me.
lol slightly? XD i beat him on legendary with a friend, took a try or two...or 7 but we got him eventually wasnt THE hardest but it WAS annoying
Yes, he certainly was annoying. Kept blasting me off the edge of the map. Which is the reason I used a banshee. XD

It's worse with an xbox controller, because they're bigger and heavier, causes much more damage.Don't think I've ever broken one though, PS2 controllers sure, but the xbox ones are built like a brick.

That fucking Uroboros boss fight on that tanker in RE5, God the final boss diden't even take that long!
I can do that entire level in 33 seconds, I don't know what your doing wrong.

Go to the swamps were your on the boat and collect the rocket launcher finish the level and use the rocket launcher on the ouroboros when you see the bright glowing yellow blob and it goes bye bye.

On topic. Although the Wesker fight isn't a boss fight (the one just before the Jill scene), it is still annoying to do enough damage to him, took me atleast 2 hours going through the level just to get to him and do enough damage.

Yiazmat for the one I beat, it took me eight hours!

And Absolute Virtue as one I (and everybody else) can not beat. If you have beaten it you are lying as nobody has ever defeated this boss.
Sorry my friend, quite a few have defeated him. The first wave was due to a wall glitch, and the second through an all or nothing zerg of KC Drk's. If I recall correctly this was quickly patched up by SE since it wasn't how they wanted him to be taken down. I quit playing a while ago so I'm not sure if the "legit" way has finally been figured out, but to say someone is lying point blank like that is greatly incorrect.

To add my own boss fight I would have to say was the last boss in Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. I would bring my Game Boy Advance onto my school bus in the morning and play on the way to school, save the game to the turn I was currently on in the battle, the resume for the bus ride home. Over the course of the week I would have a good bit of time clocked on the boss, and if I died it was time to start all over from my save right before hand.

That or my stubbornness in Enchanted Arms for the 360. The Earth Devil Golem just took forever to kill due to his high defense. It became a battle of if I could survive his attacks and try to slice down his live a bit at a time.

FFXII Yiazmat. Took me a bit over 2 hours, though I didn't do much myself. Had 6 level 99 characters, the finest weapons and equipment and solid gambits on every one of them. They could fight well enough without my intervention.

How has Emerald Weapon from FFVII failed to show up yet? The preparation for the fight took a dozen hours or so, then the fight itself took me about 90 minutes with three level 40ish characters. Summoning the same two creatures for over an hour is not exactly exciting, but finishing him off felt awesome.

Nevan in Devil May Cry 3 on my first play-through. Figuring out how to actually beat her was probably one of the most challenging things I've ever done in a game. It took me about two days, or 12 hours total, to figure out a tactic that worked and when I finally beat her, I used one of the worst strategies possible, relying on the Gunslinger style and the Spiral to chip away at her health over a 30 minute period.

Doing that boss was pretty much the turning point in the game for me; prior to that, it was one of the most annoyingly difficult games I've ever picked up. After that point, however, everything just clicked and even though some of the later bosses were arguably worse than Nevan, I already figured out exactly how the game wanted me to play, making those bosses a piece of cake.

I remember that golem, one of the longest fights ever, i don't remember how i beat him, but i know it was about 3 AM and i woke up my dad with my screams of delight and all he said was "Did you JUST beat him?" i was fighting him before my dad went to bed

It took me about 40 minutes to beat Ultimecia. Three or four hours if you count all the times she handed my ass to me.

The third last mission of the three possable endings of Armoured Core: For Answer, the one where you have to fight the four top ranking mechs on your own (your teammate dies in like, 5 seconds) I swear to god I broke a controller and went through 6 batteries to finish that *****.

I must have spent about an hour fighting the Avatar of Khaine on DOW2. Had to use hit and run tactics and of course it has regenerating health.

That's easy. Prototype the last 2 bosses. They were just an endless mess! Perhaps I was underprepared for them, which I can just go back and level up then can't I? Oh wait. I can't! The stupid @#$% game auto save's at the boss fight and there's no way to back out! None, unless you saved close to the auto save before hand, but why and how would you do that if you got lucky or are on a FAQ. It's just an endless march of slcing a bit off and hoping you don't die. Especially the last boss! God, you can chip away at his health all you want then the timer stars up so you hope your saved up big attacks will finish him off and burn him down before you blow up or he kills you. UGH! I think I spent an entire day on the last boss!
