Acting out story ideas.

When i get an idea for a story i like to act it out to see if i like they way it sounds and i tend to get into the characters im building.
Especially the voices.

I do this all the time, especially in front of mirrors. My mom has come into the room to see who I was talking to sometimes and given me weird looks. Now I live with my boyfriend and he 'gets' why I do it but still finds it really weird and I get pretty sheepish when caught =/

For me it was when my horrifcly homophobic dad saw me kissing a girl after school (i'm bi) and went mental calling me filthy and disgusting and that he was ashamed i was in his family

That's messed up. It's like the line from the movie parenthood "You have to have a license do drive a car. You have to have a license to own a gun. Hell, you even have to have a license to catch a fish . . . but any &^%&^%&*&(!! can be a parent.

Anyway, for me I think it was making meth. Keep in mind that I don't even do drugs anymore and this was nearly 15 years ago but that definitely is the "craziest" thing. I was a really rotten kid.

The weirdest thing my mom has seen me do, I think, is sitting in the bathtub, wearing a dress and a wig, with a cardboard canoe and branches taped up all over the bathroom, singing "just around the riverbend" while my mate filmed it.

It was for a school project...

After my mom caught me one time she said that it was actually a good idea to act out ideas like that.
Still doesn't make me any less embarrassed when she walks in on my trying to find the right tone and mood for a Villain.
