People loved the Bioshock Series, I did not.

Also GTA is probably my biggest let down, but I still finished the game. It wasnt bad it just wasnt as good as it should have been, especially looking at IGN.com's rating of 10/10 WHAT ARE THOSE GUYS SMOKING! Probably high grade stuff that they bought with their money that Rockstar paid them off with.

Spore was also very bad

Star Wars Force Unleashed got very repetitive, very fast.

Lots of people are saying Borderlands, personally I love that game, me and 2 mates where playing for 8 hours straight from 9pm to 5am last night. Alone I have a hunter on Second Playthrough half way, a soldier on second playthrough just started that I only use with one friend, a Siren near the end of the first playthrough with another different friend, and a Berserker just starting singularly on first playthrough. Last night I created a new Hunter account, he is so much better than every other class.

My friend was really excited about Army of Two, and bought it on release day. We now call the game "BROS!" and play it only to experience how mediocre it is.

Personally... Beautiful Katamari annoyed me to no end for feeling terribly short and performing worse than the PS2 seems to have. And I'll jump on the Fable II bandwagon, but I only rented the game, fearing that it might not be as good as I wanted it to... so very glad I did.

Batman arkham assylum, now before i get bitched off of the forum its because i had looked at the strategy guide before hand and it had all the batman badguys in it which made me think that they were all in the game. when actually they were just little hints from the riddler, that and the fact you fight the same boss fight like 6 times

I probably sound like a broken record but Wild Arms 4, I pick it up after hearing it was better than Wild Arms 3 and I fucking loved Wild Arms 3. I play it and the combat's fine but it pretty much ripped out everything that made the Wild Arms series awesome and replaced it with bland.

Overlord and Brutal Legend
Overlord got to the point where i just had no idea what to do and i realized i was actually falling asleep while playing.
Brutal Legend started decent then started to falter a little then completely fell apart at the half way point. Story followed the same trend.

Red Alert 3

EA systematically destroyed the C&C series after Westwood was removed from the equation. I was hugely excited because I'm a big Red Alert fan. I finished the campaigns in a couple of days and got bored with the Skirmish mode in a couple of hours.

The story was horrible and didn't actually fit in the RA universe. The whole "Tactics" part of the game had been sucked out of it by making sure that everything was so perfectly balanced that there wasn't a great deal of differences in the three factions. The fact that half the units + bases could be built on water was a horrible idea, once again eliminating half the "tactical" part of the game considering you could now go ANYWHERE on the map (all of which were tiny).

The only redeeming features were Tim Curry and David Hasselhoff.

But that's just one disgruntled former fans opinion...
Yeah Command and Conquer went down the "whole o failz" when westwood was taking out

Darksiders, and halo wars.

Darksiders was a complete ripoff of LoZ and GoW

and halo wars was incredibly shallow for a strategy game.

Final Fantasy! I know I shouldn't have high hopes for the series anymore but I guess I'm just masochistic.
I died a little inside when I saw the chocobo pop out of his 'fro :(

Definitely agree with Dragon Age. I got bored with that game fast.
And I gave up on Borderlands until just recently. It's easy difficulty originally turned me off to the game, but it's pretty fun playing with a friend, especially once you get to the second playthrough. I'm addicted to getting weapons now; rare drops make it all worthwhile.

I hesitate to say Fallout 3 as well because I'm still trying to convince myself that it's playable. I love the environment and general feel of the game but sometimes I wish they made the combat in Fallout more fast-paced, like in Borderlands.

GTA 4.

It just didnt seem as fun as GTA SA, i think it really just tried to hard to make it realistic.

That or far cry, but thats not so much a dissapointment because i wasent really expecting much.

Deus Ex Invisible War. after playing the first and naming it my favorite game evar I picked the sequel up on steam only to find it had a huge number of bugs when running it on Vista(I couldn't even start it though looking back it was defiantly for the best). when I got to the game I was so excited and then all that came crashing down when I realized that the combat, stealth mechanic, augmentation system, intuitive inventory system, and upgrade system had been dumbed down to basic shooter level no more moving cursor, no more nonlinear progression system that rewarded exploring different locations. then the biggest thing I noticed was the AI I mean it wasn't brightest AI in the first game but the game is basically over when u get the sniper rifle because every enemy in the game employs the strategy of running directly at u with absolutely no plan of taking cover well that is until later in the game where u meet the armored enemies to whom an entire clip of SMG rounds to the face can't stop because headshots don't register with anything but the sniper rifle then the game gets ridiculously unbalanced when all the enemies can take and entire clip of ammo before they even feel anything. so to sum it all up, broken mechanics and combat system with dumbed down nonlinear progression system, clipping issues and a decent story and aesthetic cyber-punk feel...

Battlefield Bad Company. Don't get me wrong, it was an alright game, but it was like Inglorious Basterds, except it was good, all the jokes were in the trailer and it was shown by its commercials as a FPS which mocks FPS's, and it just ended up being a FPS, and plot holes were evident looking back, if they're the cannon fodder why do they have grenade launchers on their guns? Why don't they just have the leftover and salvaged weapons? Why waste all that money on giving those top notch weapons and leave them with Russian AK-74's taken from the battlefield or yesterday's weapons, it would be interesting if they had a customization for the gun, i.e. taking parts salvaged to make a unique gun, but that would be original and originality doesn't sell.

Damn, most people took mine, mainly being Spore and Fable 2.

I'll say Call of Duty 3. The game was the original Call of Duties, and the same thing over again. So boring and dull, when compared to Call of Duty 2.

I was extremely disappointed in Mirror's Edge. I assumed the critics were just being picky.

Turns out, they weren't. It just wasn't a good game.

As an avid fan of the Aliens Versus Predator 2 for the PC, my most disappointing game would have to be the new Aliens Versus Predator. It's incredibly short, linear, and repetitive campaign aside. The multiplayer wasn't even fun. It didn't feel like they paired up same rank players so you got stuck with far more experienced people who felt impossible to kill. All in all, it wasn't fun. As soon as I beat the alien campaign, I never touched the game again and then just traded it in.

Bioshock 2 was also a little disappointing. I hated playing as the Big Daddy and felt like part of the thrill in the first game was being an average being which made the atmosphere that much more chilling. Also the NPC's (other than Sinclair) weren't nearly as colourful.

Definitly Titan Quest; It let me down, there was no major action hook to draw me in, I only played it cause I thought "Oh, a nice fantasy RPG maybe now I can actually RPG!" Never before has a game caused me to hate my own choice so much! And I spend so much time looking at games because I only have enough for one game generally, so I have to make sure that the game I choose is the GAME I WANT! In this case I hate myself for making my choice.

Can't believe no one said Brawl yet because that really was a big one to me and the last one as well. I really hate it when developers makes the sequal to a great game slower and more shallow so it may appeal to a bigger audience.

GTA 4, Bioshock and Half-Life. According to the internet they're the Gods of Videogames. To my brain they all had horrible gunplay, lack luster story (nonexistent in GTA4)and in the case of Bioshock, is ended up being a frantic search for health packs. It wasn't even scary, the "scariest" part was hoping I could get to the next part without being killed. And it wasn't Dead Space where if you die it's horrible to watch, you just kind of fall to the ground.
