Rome and Journeyman. The former is definitely not for the majority of the people on this site; it's very..erm..let's say- graphic. Any road, it was a brilliant series and only aired 10 episodes into season 2 before been cancelled.

The latter took it's time getting to the good bits but my god when it did - it was brilliant. Sadly, it was pulled leaving so many things so tantalisingly unanswered. And weirdly they both star Kevin McKidd.

At least bloody Firefly had a movie.

Freaks and Geeks is my favorite. Also, Clerks: The Animated Series. And Invader Zim was also really good, but I think that made it 3 seasons (i'm not sure though).

I was said when FOX decided to stop Defying Gravity... You know what, FOX is shit! They keep destroying the best of the TV shows. Asshole oligopoly pricks.

Dead Like Me was awesome too, and I seem to be talking about it a lot more now...

MEgas XLR, Firefly, Zoids, Shaman King and Digimon and I know some those went for a few season and I know some weren't the best in their areas but I wished they been had continued.

Obviously Firefly (why don't they make more of them? I'm sure another network could buy the rights since fox isn't doing anything with them).

Also Time Trumpet. A really funny comedy Mockumentary series about the future. I also liked Moonlight, and the new Knight Rider started getting good as the series went on.

There were a lot of good jokes there, nice show. Tough i'm not 100% sure that there won't be a next season.

Though I'm also annoyed Kyle XY didn't make it past season 3. Especially since the producers made a big F U to ABC and gave the biggest plot twist that could be expected the bastards. They also slashed the length of the season back to 10 episodes.
In America this may be common knowledge, but in Britain it's virtually unheard of.

Umm.. I don't actually know the name of it, but there was a show with a priest who was investigating strange religeous phenomeon for the vadican or whatever and he was slowly being hinted at some serious big bad.. I'm pretty sure it only lasted a few episodes, but it seemed like it was gonna be good and then just disappeared.

Are you thinking of Miracles, starring Skeet Ulric? With the whole God Is Now Here thing?
It had a premise similar to that, and lasted one season.

Krod Mandoon was always only going to be one season. It was a placeholder show
