I only just started playing Fallout 3 recently and I still haven't gotten to grips with everything... but one thing that surprised me was the sudden attack by what can only be descrived as 'the crab people'.

I was surprised because the ending was horrible and instantly made me stop playing it.
Endings have a way of doing that. But I get what you mean. Just a strange way of saying it, in my opinion.

I can't believe nobody mentioned the scene where you learn what the "cure" is in the pitt.
That was...unexpected. Needless to say I couldn't go with the slaves, and I had to go with Ashur, which I was regretting later because I learned killing slaves is evil....:(

Mirelurks. My arch enemies. You will see many more of them in the future.

Since I was filming a Fallout 3 video walk through, I was playing the first half of the game without sound. (since I was filming it) I had dropped ALL of my guns to pick up the new incredible power armor, since I thought all of the enemies were dead outside of GNR. Then, to my surprise, My head, left arm, and chest are crippled as I am slammed into a wall. Behind me is a giant yellow barney carrying a fire hydrant. And oh joy, I can't wear the f*cking power armor yet any ways.
Funny Moment: Some nice women came up to me in the wastes and insisted that I take her money. (Good karma mini-perk) I then followed her until she was alone at night, sawed off her arm and then ate her. =)

The dreaded Mirelurk. They mean certain doom for low level players. I can only give you one piece of advice; aim for the head.

I've never heard a Super Muntant Behemoth described in that way before.

One of my favorites was the teddy bear in the cart cage that summoned the one bohemoth. The first time I found it I thought, "How long has that thing been there?"

Another time I watched a three ants vs a robo brain and patrol bot. The robots won, but it was still funny to watch, especially since it was in a radiation pool.

At the end of "Trouble on the Homefront" where Amata tells you (with alot of regret, clearly) that you have to leave, forever. I was genuinely upset by it.

Actually the best strategy against mirelurks is to make sure you are either level with them or below them, then blow thir heads off.

When blowing up Megaton did not yield an equal number of missions. There I was thinking the developers that give two distinct paths (Good and Evil) would make them equal. Nope. Blowing up Megaton gives you about 3 missions with Tenpenny Tower, as opposed to all the missions you get in the Survival Book chain alone. And me without a save point prior. Sad day.
You can still do Wasteland Survival Guide.. Moria gets ghoulified.. and even if your good you can still do the tenpenny stuff, I think the only thing you lose out of megaton is.. well.. megaton.

When I found out the secret of Andale, I was surprised.

I was surprised by countless things in Point Lookout. Alot of unexpected things happen and a lot of strange things are discovered.

I remeber I was in the parking lot of the Super-duper mart and this trader walks up to me and drops dead in front of me! also I was wandering through the wasteland and this fire ant popped up and killed me
