Don't like the master thief? Why, he appears to have stolen your punctuation!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only person here who's seen Kannazuki and Kyoshiro, I'd personally recommend both with the disclaimer that they are not for everyone. Haruhi has a bigger potential fan base and is rather funny at parts, you have to stomach the sci fi shit but that's just to explain why everyone is even bothering to try and stomach the titular character. I would also recommend Robotech/SDF Macross, pre-Seed Gundam, particularly of the Universal Century variety. It's as hopelessly idealistic as the more modern stuff but it's alot more subtle. Chrono Crusade is nice and explodey, as is Afro Samurai.

Course we do. The Castle of Cagliostro is a classic, and one of my favourite films of all time.

Noir (series)

Perfect Blue (film).

Anything by Hayao Miyazaki.

Particularly Howl's Moving Castle, Nausicaa and My Neighbour Totoro.
On a similar note, Princes Mononoke. Also (though by a different director) I watched the English dub of The Cat Returns with a friend a while back and found it to be cute cutesy and...quaint? Yes, quaint will do. Wasn't intellectually riveting or pulse pounding action, but it was still sweet to watch.

FLCL (I dont think i've ever been closer to being high than watching that)

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (Awesome Mecha and interpretation of evolution)

Tenjou Tenge (Amazingly deep story, lots of fight scenes. Expect men with muscles similar to saiyans)

Hajime No Ippo (Also known as Fighting Spirit. Boxing anime. Good story)

Neon Genesis Evangelion (Remember what I said about FLCL? This might trump it in places)

History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi (Standard martial arts animé. Each one sadistic yet hilarious in their own way)

666 Satan (Despite the very... ill-chosen name, its worth looking if you like Shonen Anime. Was made by the brother of the guy who made Naruto)

Kanokon (For the Ecchiness in you)

Rurouni Kenshin (One of THE best Samurai anime to exist)

Soul Eater (Unique art style, interesting story, deep characters. All good)

Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya (Just watch it. It's one that everyone should experience at some point)

Hellsing Ultimate (One of the best anime around in terms of following the story of the manga. Doesnt miss a beat.)

There's mine. Enjoy.

hmm. I am currently watching ELFEN LIED, and I have to say, that is the most fucked up anime I have ever seen that I only watch out of morbid Fascination

A brief list:

-More or less anything Miyazaki, particularly Princess Mononoke (required)
-Death Note (though in my opinion, it drags after the halfway point)
-Lucky Star (It's like anime Seinfeld! In high school! With nearly all females! BUT BETTER.)
-Ranma 1/2 (Great humor, and the characters are likable.)
-Gad Guard (It's been years since I've seen this, but I remember it being a fun little mecha series.)
-The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (If you don't know why and are an anime fan, SHAAAAAAAME.)
-Excel Saga (For the most non-sequential, spaz-inducing humor the mind can handle.)
-Outlaw Star (The only sci-fi ANYTHING that's appealed to me.)
