i brush and floss twice per day. but past events have really deteriorated my teeth. i have 4 root canal and i,m waiting for a 5th one, 8 other teeth have been repair for cavities and two are slowly roting (one miss the back cheek side quarter, and the other have only 2/3 of the inner side left, everything else have been destroyed on it. I'm suppose to get those two removed somewhere next year. but there is great chances that i will end up with false teeth within 20 years

I'm terrified of teeth. Two years ago, I had veneers fitted (costing more than a one-bedroomed flat), they look beautiful - but I am scared of them falling out/hurting etc. I brush them multiple times a day, floss everyday and poke and prod at them on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, I was born with a crooked jaw that has left my bite almost an inch out. This has caused my wisdom teeth to grow at odd angles. A while ago, my lower left wisdom tooth snapped in half - and got infected before I could do much about it. I went on antibiotics and the infection cleared up, but I was and am too scared to have the tooth removed. As such, it's just collapsing. I know I should have it removed, and will - but "later".

I also have an overbite that is two inches... out? Wide? Sticky-outy. This means it is impossible for me to close my lips together. Teeth, sure (although with explained wonky-bite), but lips no. When eating, I put a hand over my mouth to be as polite as physically possible.

To be honest, my mouth sounds worse in text than it is in person.

I have two overgrowing sharp teeth in places so I look slightly like a vampire. Good for scaring children. Muahahahahahaha!

I don't brush me teeth everyday at all and I never floss, I brush maybe once a week. I have never had a cavity and my teeth are naturally straight. However, I work at auto parts store and am just saying....some people have really messed up teeth and you all with those busted teeth need to do something about that....it's messed up to look at

Thread, I bid you rise, rise from your grave!

Ahem. Anyway, good news (sort of) - I finally went to the dentist for the first time in years, and things are better than I thought they would be. I only have one cavity, and this thing on one of my front teeth isn't actually a cavity, but just pitting. I was afraid of losing that tooth, but I guess it's fine. I already have the money saved to be able to pay for a cleaning and to have the cavity filled.

The bad news: I have to have my wisdom teeth removed. It'll cost around $1700, and probably be a pain. Not looking forward to that.

But anyway, I was pretty pleased with the results of the examination ^__^

As much as I would like to say I take great care of my teeth, or myself in general, I don't... I'm lazy and depressed.

Keep them in good shape, because once enamel's gone, it's gone. When I was younger, I didn't take care of my teeth very well, and drank lots of soda. Later on, I suddenly cared much more when I was in constant pain while eating and drinking, and eventually caved and went to the dentist. $15k in bills and some crowns, bridges, extractions and fillings later, I'm much more inclined to brush and floss regularly.

Wisdom teeth getting pulled isn't as bad as some claim. I had some severe pain for the first day or so, but after that it was manageable enough to where I didn't even need the painkillers prescribed. It only really sucks if you get a dry socket, which you'd need to return to the dentist to fix.

I believe I take good care of my teeth. I brush every time I wake up and every time I go to bed. I don't foss but maybe I should start that.

I brush my teeth in the morning and at night, and use mouthwash just after brushing.

I brush, floss, and use restoring mouthwash at least once a day. I shoot for twice a day, but I don't always have the energy to do so. About the time I hit 15, I went from never having cavities to having about three show up in my molars at every six month cleaning. No root canals thus far, but sitting in a chair having my teeth drilled for an hour isn't fun either. It's frustrating that I can't seem to stop them from developing. My dentist is also pestering me to get braces for my lower jaw, since my teeth are crowded and a little crooked there. Oh well.

Also, this is for the Brits, since the stereotype has been brought up. :D

I have stereotypically bad British Teeth. (But also a stereotypical african-american fondness for watermelon and fried chicken, so shut up).

Brushed twice a day as a kid, adult teeth came through dodgy, wore a brace, trampoline accident knocked them into a wonky place after. Balls.

I brush them everyday, sometimes twice.
But I tend to delay it till an undetermined time during holidays. I'll brush them when I go to sleep, I promise!

The metal hardware around my teeth is getting a bit annoying too. I was supposed to wear it one and a half year. One and a half year passed a month ago and I still don't have the tiny rubber bands that should keep my mouth shut. Not that I need extra tools to keep my mouth shut, I barely say anything anyway..

I guess I don't take as good of care as I could, but I brush 2 times a day. My teeth are pretty white though and I've only had one cavity but that was about 6 years ago.
