There is no equality at all. If a man abuses a woman, it is a very big thing. When you switch it, most women are aquitted completely.
If you're going to go with thay angle, you could just kick her in her... erm... "lady parts" and run as fast as you can.JWAN said:or elbow her to the face and GTFOThe infamous SCAMola said:I don't know about hitting a woman, but unless she's coming at you with a knife or any other sharp object, you should just hold her down and either calm her down or make her tire herself out.

I find your usage of the phrase, "rule of thumb" to be incredibly ironic in this context.Ushario said:My rule of thumb is that if you can defend yourself against someone without having to hurt them then do so. If you can't defend yourself against an attacker without hurting them, go for gold.
If I'm in a situation where a woman is so determined in attacking me that I can't simply fend her off, then she is probably going to get whats coming to her, and likely deserves it as well.
Having said that I have never struck a woman in anger, so far so good.
thats what i thought, and then we had a seminar thing on equality i gave that definition, and was told i was wrong :/cleverlymadeup said:no it's equal treatment sorry to say, it's always been worded as "equal treatment under the law"razer17 said:equality is not giving equal treatment, but giving everyone the chance to do what they are able to.Draculafreak said:They want equality? Wouldn't a quick kick to the stomach be safer? Longer range, after all, and it's just as effective for that "can't breathe" feeling that so effectively destroys the will to fight... for that matter, you could kick the attacker in the leg until she loses her combat ability. If she's really stubborn, you could kick the other leg too; somewhere along that line you ought to have the opportunity to escape and report the attack.Specter_ said:Now if they attack you with a melee-weapon (knife, brass knuckles etc), I'd go for the throat in an instant and even risk some substantial damage on their part to defend myself (if you put too much pressure on the larynx, it can break and the effected person can suffocate, so be carefull with that).
for starters most of the people who said they would hit a woman said that the 1:would only attack if the woman was going to cause actual harm and 2: only go so far as restraint, only a couple have actually stated they would go full force and im assumin/hoping those were jokes. so stop pretending to have moral superiority and actually READ posts.APPCRASH said:I personally wouldn't strike a woman or even a guy in public. Upon reading previous posts you guys make it sound like the woman out their are all boxing champs and that any blow (heh blow) from them is actually a threat to your well being. There are other methods to defending or at least avoiding an attacker, most if not all security, military, and police forces are trained to not go blow-for-blow with an opponent regardless if you have the upper hand in physical strength.
For shame on all of you for being weak minded cowards that need to prove their superiority through violence.
Haha well there you go! Its 7am here, I just walked 5km's to get home, and was out drinking all night. I can't sleep....so here I am.Travdelosmuertos said:I find your usage of the phrase, "rule of thumb" to be incredibly ironic in this context.Ushario said:My rule of thumb is that if you can defend yourself against someone without having to hurt them then do so. Yes, yes, I'm well aware that it's not actually true, but it still doesn't make it any less funny to me.
Yes, but if you got a good hold on their throat, you can control them better without inflicting any damage at all.HazukiHawkins said:Wouldn't a quick kick to the stomach be safer? What this guy said. If a woman attacked me, I'd knock her block off, just like I would if a man did the same. I wouldn't initiate violence against a woman, but that's probably more just because I don't initiate violence against anyone.Xvito said:If somebody is beating on you, then it is always okay to fight back, no matter what age or gender the other person has.

True. But I consider being nice to people as being more important than dogmatic equalityNot hitting a girl out of honour is a way of upholding chivalry. The very thing that has been deemed sexist. By following it, there will not be equality
Amen. I've been yelled at and berated for that sort of thing before. Simple polite conduct ... I don't get it.Draculafreak said:Not hitting a girl out of honour is a way of upholding chivalry. The very thing that has been deemed sexist. By following it, there will not be equality.
They'll get it. Right in the face.Draculafreak said:They want equality? They got it.
