P1: M14 rifle with bayonet
P2: AA-12 shotgun
SA: medieval flanged mace

M14 is accurate at long ranges, the 7.62 round is quite powerful, and it can go full-auto if I need it. The bayonet is for when the zombies randomly pop out of somewhere close.

AA-12 is perfect for clearing out hallways infested with the undead.

The mace is the optimum CQB weapon. Unlike a katana, you don't have to worry about the edge being nicked easily. Less worries about blood splatter from the cuts as well, for there are none. Just simple efficient blunt smashing. If you can kill a man in armor with it, you can kill a zombie with it.

A Silenced SMG and a high caliber sniper rifle, for a sidearm i would choose a tazor, if i meet somebody (a human) i can disarm them whitout killing them in case i do not know do they mean harm to me or not.

My three picks.
1. Taulmaril the Heartseeker from the Drizzt series: obvious reason being, it shoots arrows of lightning, and they never run out.

2. A Light Saber: Again, obvious reason, its a lightsaber. "Hello zombie." *zzzrm* "Hello zombie giblets."

3. As my side arm i would probably just go with something simple, like the Halo 1 pistol with unending ammo mod :D.

Serious Choices:
Primary: My 12 gauge shotgun
Side Arm: A Glock pistol or anything capable of firing a 9x19mm round. I figure those will be easiest to scavenge.
Fall Back: A metal bat or an axe.

Not So Serious Choices:
10 levels of Pale Master and the Lich Loved feat
or
Unholy symbol and the ability to rebuke undead
or
Access to the Sun Domain and extra turning

I can come up with far too many not so serious choices....

The rules are three is the max. And you must have one sidearm. Mine are a Desert eagle. A Revolver (any kind). And a Spas-12
Primary: Charizard - he can fly, breath fire, and cause earthquakes.
Secondary: Portal gun. I can make them fall and lol at them or make a quick getaway.

I would use a semi automatic rifle of some sorts, a rather powerful sidearm and a crowbar/axe.

I don't know an awful lot about weapons, I'm afraid...

Stealth and guile are the best weapons against the undead. Make as little noise and commotion as possible. Never engage within grasping range. Avoidance should always be the first choice.
You are now my favorite person in this thread! =3

A good old fashioned Mace. Nothing like a bit of blunt trauma to destroy a brain.
A Hand axe/ hatchet. Its a weapon and good for other stuff.
And because I have to have a gun (God knows where I'm going to get one of those here in Englandland) a semi-automatic pistol of some kind as its likely to be a last resort weapon.

...so long as you mean .357 magnum [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ4zmdtNjW4] by 9mm... 9mm parabellum isn't going to break many locks for you [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kxpS9sHayU].

Crowbar, it's a multiple purpose tool. Also a great zombie killer.
Yeah... just about any melee weapon really. metal bat, sword, hammer, staple hammer (favorite thing ever), Bo staff, crossbow. Of which i have all of these... although the crossbow isn't exactly much of a melee.

Zombies aren't scary.

and i suppose a Beretta. As long as i get a green beret i'm happy.
i'm currently reading "The Zombie survival guide" by Max Brooks and I feel I have to correct you here. Any Meele weapon wont work very well, it must be able to destroy/disconnect the brain in one clean blow. otherwise its useless. best meele things against zombies are Machete, crowbar, shaolin spade or Trench spike.

and yes, i think you would find zombies pretty scary after reading up on the virus itself.

The amount of people who think a flame thrower will stop a walking dead person with no pain receptors is silly.
Also, an AA12 will run out of ammo extremely quickly and a Desert Eagle is a shite weapon. Oh, and a Katana isn't powerful enough to cut through bone so that's pretty useless for decapitating a zombie.

Well, as cool as guns are, they will run out of ammo, and I like to think in long time zombie apokalypses...

So
1 Katana (it does not have to cut through bown to decapitate someone, it just has to seperate the vertebrae)
1 crossbow (I figure I can learn to make bolts in time, and it can be used for hunting for food)
1 Um, a gun that shoots shuriken and lightning? No? Well, I figure I only take 2 weapons and use the gained storage space for tools and food.

Also:
Decapitating a Zombie will kill them, but severing its main muscles will stop it from moving, and that is all I need to get away.

too true. Though with the right positioning, fire can be a great way to consume hordes of them at once... that's more useful for mop-up operations, though. We're talking initial survival here.

Yes and no. An AA12 is a bad choice of shotgun because its drum mags are bulky and hard to reload on the run... and a Desert Eagle is a great anti-materiel weapon for its size. Using one against zombies is just silly, though.

...a katana will turn on a bone such as the upper arm... but in the right hands they have no trouble getting through the upper spinal column without sustaining damage. There's really hardly any bone there. An example of a katana cutting through something more resistant than your upper spinal column. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISl_aHEHXxs]
