What is the worst experience you've ever had while at the movies?

This question crossed my mind after what happened happened to me not more than two hours ago.

Michel and I were out watching the new Adam Sandler movie Funny People. Throughout the whole movie another couple behind costantly chatting really loud and making wise cracks. Having asked them to stop multiple times and threatening call over the usher, they still continued. The suddenly I start hear the girl's phone go off followed shortly by dialing. I turn around And I see her texting with the keypad noise set on high. Then both me and Michel ask her to turn it off or we would call the usher.

The boy then decides to take the lid off his soda and dump it on my head after we had turned around. Before I knew it Michel had turned around, climbed over the seat, and had grabbed the guy by the shirt. He then threw him over the chair he had been sitting, hopped back over and started pummeling the guy. The fight then dragged on into the stairway where the two took turns exchanging blows. At one point the guy grabbed some old man's cane and smacked Michel across the face a few times with it. After the fourth hit the cane breaks and sent Michel tumbling down the steps. The man chased him down and pinned him against the wall and goves him a few hits to the face. Michel was able to then wrest free from his position and kick him to the floor and took the moment to stomp on his nuts. Once the guy had turned on his side and statrted throwing up, Michel pulled him up by his shirt collar and gave him the finishing blow.

All four of us ended up getting thrown out of the theater for it.

Although I am a devout pacifist and do not believe that violence is always the solution, I do believe that asshole got what he had coming to him.
Pics or it didn't happen!
It happened in a dark theater in the span of about 30 - 45seconds. I'm sure that is someone was able to get a picture it would have been on a camera phone.

I know you're joking about the pics thing, but please ask yourself this: Why would a girl take a picture or video of her lover being beaten with a cane?
Everyone's got a fetish or two...
And what would this particular fetish be called might I ask?
Sadism by proxy using canes? I can't think of what the 'philia' term would be at this point sadly.

Sucks by the way, hope Michel is okay for all his troubles.

not really a bad experience, just a horrible movie:
I had never seen the ring before, so when my friends suggested we watch it about 2 days ago, I was happy when we all said 'yes' what with all of the positive reveiws and people constantly telling me how scary and suspenseful it was, i was trilled that everyone said 'yes'
my problems first came up when one of my friends was hiding behind a pillow for the entire thing, keep in mind, this was midday, we're all fifteen, and the lights are on,with many places to hide should someone come in trying to kill us or something. my second problem came up when the first scare of the movie came out of nowhere and was completely out of place (the people are talking and all of a sudden BAM dead chick in a closet) whcih wasn't even that scary.
my thrid problem came when one of my friends (who had already seen it) would tell scared friend whenever a scary part came up (none of them would have been scary anyway, but it was annoying) this spoiled a lot for me because i would enjoy the scare to be built up rather than being told 'you are going to get scared here and i won't let you get scarred untill i move out of the way' (she hit 'pause' everytime she told scared friend).
problem four around halfway through the movie, (scares:1 suspence:-6) we all started making jokes about the dialouge and whatnot, at this point I assumed we were going to do this untill the end of the movie, which was fine, because I couldn't take the movie seriously anyway, because, you know, it SUCKED but oh, no. with about half an hour left in the movie, everyone went silent, and told me to shut up everytime I mocked somethign stupid about the movie.
final problem: end of the movie, scared friend comments about how scary the movie was, I tell her it wasn't scary at all, I get slapped for making fun, I reccomend an actually GOOD actually SCARY movie (copy cat), no one has heard of it, I get called an idiot, at which point one of my closest friends in the group and I walk out of the house (he was getting his DS later and I was his ride home/to the mall) while talking about videogames.

the moral of the story: the ring sucked, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It's not scary, It's not suspenceful and it's only good for a coaster or something.

also, your friends mor often than not will have a completely retarded sense of scary/suspence

Probably when I stupidly decided to see Bruno...

Seeing an erect penis take up the whole movie screen is not my idea of an enjoyable cinematic experience.

However there was one mishap when I went to see Wolverine that was amusing.
The Muvico near where I live has a VIP balcony section, the tickets are about $8 more but the seats are so much nicer and they allow you to have booze. Anywho, the sound starts to break up and the people in the regular seats below the balcony start to make a commotion. Some awesome person who was on the balcony leans over the edge and yells at the top of his voice: "SHUP UP POOR PEOPLE!!!"
Everyone in the balcony bursts into laugher.

I saw Kung Fu Panda(groan) and every person in the theater wouldnt stop crinkling their candy wrappers and talking loudly. Also, whenever there was a fight scene, everyone would laugh everytime someone got hit.

Went to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince a while back with a friend, my sister and her boyfriend. the latter to were kissing the entire time, but i could live with that, they only get to see each other occasionally with him living in california, but i had two problems with the audience:

1: At least 3 people were texting, so the lights from the phones were blaring throughout the darkness, incredibly distracting (I was texting as well, but i had the good consience to sit in the back row with the phone on vibrate and the backlights off...) And some asshole with one of those loud obnoxious ringtones didn't bother turning it on vibrate...

2: There was a girl with a really nasally voice(Like Joan Rivers with a headcold, this women) and laughed at every LINE, let alone the ones that were funny...

other than that, can't complain.

Godzilla!

I couldn't handle the suspense. I left after 10-20 minutes and had my mom drive me home. I was kinda sensitive back then.

Well worst movie goes to Transformers 2. I can't turn my brain that far down, I would probably forget to breath if I did.

Monsters vs. Aliens get my award though. Say it in IMax, but some little kid kept kicking my seat throughout the entirety of the film. Got very annoying very fast. That and any movie where someone's phone goes off at the climax of the film.

Greatest experience was Pineapple Express. At one point during the film, just after they had smoked pot, the film literally melted. It did the whole stereotypical flicker, bubble in the center, and then burn outward. Almost thought it was part of the movie until the house lights came up.

Your mission for tonight, should you choose to accept it, is to create a 'philia' for epic lolz.

He's alright. His face is partially swollen and he has some scratches on the side of his head from the sharp edges of broken cane. Not enough to warrant a trip to the hospital, but nothing a few icepacks, guaze pads, and a bunch of hugs and kisses can't fix.

I was watching that too, the guy behind me was accusing me of pulling out my phone. He got the usher on me. I had no phone on me at the time because I left it in my car. We went back into the theater and he accused me again of hiding my phone the first time because he claimed he saw the little blue light again. So we get pulled out again, and to prove that I don't have the phone on I get down to my boxers and let them check my clothes and I even drag them out to my car to point at the phone I left inside and had them check the seats around me for any phones. After that was done with I wasn't watching the movie so much as I was imagining beating that guy across the face.

I didn't realize that the movie was going to be six hours long. But I did buy the super-hyper jumbo soda. And downed in within the first hour.

I felt like such a dipshit. But it was worth it, dammit!

Either Watchmen or Cloverfield.
Cloverfield had a bunch of obnoxious arseholes giving a running commentry.
Watchmen had 30 minutes of plot, and when it tried to get emotional it reduced me to fits of laughter. I got thrown out for it.
