Definitely nanosuit. I like being able to blend in, and it has all of the awesome features I'd want. Super strength, speed, and invisibility.

Expletives regarding technology and this accursed Internet fad.

Bloody Escapist was acting like it ate my post and then I had to resend the data....bother.

Anyways, apologies for the doublepost. :/

If total body upgrade is an option, I'd go for the deal Motoko Kusanagi got in Ghost in the Shell - a fully cybernetic body that looks human.

What does it matter, the world will end in a few hours, Jesus will come and kill me? Isn't that what all the hipsters are on about?

OT: Nanosuit
Well yes and no, that's what they are on about, but not the hipsters, hipsters wouldn't tell anyone, too underground, but they are spending thousands upon thousands of dollars to tell us the world is ending, so they are whatever the opposite of hipsters are, but still crazy

OT: Whatever magic space armor the guy from Red Faction Guerrilla had that made him have the hammer swing strength of Thor while making him still look relatively normal

I think i'll take the HEV suit.
It's served Dr.Freeman very well in the past and isn't too bulky.

It also comes with free anti-toxins and morphine!

Some of Fallout 3's Operation Anchorage Chinese Stealth Suit.
Now I know what you may possibly be thinking,But that's stealth armor, not power armor!
Well then you can suck it.

Alright, if that's the case, I'd rather be a Thousand Son... at least I won't be conscious of it. Plus, 4+ Inv save & AP3 Hellbolt ammunition.

DIE! DIE, YOU SERVANTS OF THE FALSE EMPEROR!

Not that I'd be able to vocalise such sentiments... pity.
Yes. Space marine armour > all others. And it must be liberating to ba able to hate everyone and everything with such single-mindedness. And be completely, utterly proof against anything this world can throw at you.

Defiantly going with the Nano Suit from Crysis, give you all you need, strength, endurance, speed, invisibly, plus it becomes a life support system so you'd have to do everything in your power to kill me.

The sad part is if I wanna die, I?d also have to try my hardest to die, those things don?t like letting go =/

Nanosuit. Invisibilty, genetic engineering, deflects tank shells, super strength, AI, super immune system and best of all Stealth.

I'd be all set.

Ya know, I think I'd go with a Nanosuit. I've never actually played Crysis and I think playing it in real life would be an awesome way of getting a feel for it. Plus, the graphics would look so much better...

I just hope it comes with a death-activated time travel (Checkpoint/Respawn) feature, otherwise I'd probably die (permanently) really quickly.

I found a similar thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.149270-Poll-What-type-of-power-armor-would-you-like-to-have-in-person?page=1] to this in a search, but it's not quite the same.

You've been abducted by an evil genius who's about to use you as a human (I hope) test subject in one of his evil plans: you're going to be placed in power armour and trapped there forever! (You are trapped by an internet-proof combination of science and magic, no possible loophole that any of you can come up with will get you out. So don't try.) Basic needs such as eating and... the opposite.. are taken care of by nutrient paste and an unpleasent arrangement of tubes that I won't fully describe. If there's a faceplate or helmet that's removable in the work the armour comes from, you'll be able to take it off though.

You do have one choice though: you get to choose the style of the armour. Do you want to with a brute force Mjolnir set, or would you prefer a more subtle Nanosuit that baggy clothes and a big hood can hide? Maybe you'd prefer something closer to a Mech or Gundam suit, or you could really push the limits of 'power armour' and go for a total upgrade of your body similiar to the trailors for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The choice is yours, so choose.

Myself, I'd go for the Nanosuit. You'd look a bit bulky, but I could just about pass as a human if I wore the right clothes over it. Which would make it all the more fun when I inevitably started juggling cars, outrunning high speed trains, and cloaking to escape the police.

Well, a lot depends on what the exact specs are. By definition I'd probably go with the Nanosuit, not because of the size, but because something using nano-technology is liable to outperform something that is just a big chunk of metal with energy cannons and stuff built into it. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean, but if I was given a choice between say permanantly being Ray Amuro in a Gundam, and being say "The Engineer" from The Authority, albiet always in the metal-nano form, it's pretty obvious from a power perspective which one I'd want to have. All arguements about "internet proofing" the technology, nanotech is the most likely thing to go wrong for him, and the best chance that I'm going to wind up taking control of myself.... without going into any paticular ways of achieving this since it's beyond the scope of this paticular arguement.

Of course if your going to get into something for purposes of looks, I'd pretty much opt for something you didn't cover which is Guyver-like Bio Booster armor. That's pretty much armor based around implants that springs a living suit of armor onto you when needed. Your actual body becomes sort of a decoy with the actual "you" living inside the implanted chip, which is how for example in the really ridiculous movie based on it, The Guyver gets totally destroyed and the implant eaten by one of the bad guys, and he just reforms a body from inside the dude's stomach and cuts his way out. All guyver fanboys aside (and there are tons of them, they have done something like four or five reboots of this I think), I don't think it's as powerful as a suit based around nanotechnology, but it's an option you didn't consider.

So I'd be like Al in Fullmetal Alchemist?

*is sitting in math class*
Me: I'd like to do the next problem on the board, please.
*gets up and walks to the front of class*
Suit: Loading ordnance: Expo marker. Acquiring targets: Target locked.
*Does math problem with amazing precision*

And that, children, was a really lame idea about power armor.

the iron man armor version that actually resides in his cells. that's damn good powered armor, really thin, and if it's just the body suit, it still multiplies your strength so it counts. then add the armor that can fit in pieces in a suit case and pretty much just velcro them on, and you're good.
