'Yay! I can ask questions! What the heck am i going to ask?!', she thought as Shiro got up, showed off his flashy power, and asked one of the questions she thought of. She hated when that happened, which is probably what everyone else thought when she asked a question as well. She thought of what question would be good to ask, would really squeeze some answers out of her...she'd probably fail but it was wprth the effort to try.

"Alright then...", she said, jumping on the desk and flouishing an arm before her, not wanting to be upstaged by the walking, talking, tall, dark, and demon armored Shiro, she asked the first question, "If you had to use some sort of psychic paper crap to tell that we had these abilities then you obviously couldn't sense us so, how were you able to find us?"

She sighed. It was not her best work but she was curious anyways...time for the final question. Hopefully, the answer to it would reveal some intent behind her and her group if she dodged out of Shiro's questions...

"For the final question...We've already established that you work for some world-wide group-thing and that you arn't the leader of it but i highly doubt that you and yours would go throughout the trouble to awaken us and train us out of the goodness of your hearts. So i ask you, What's the endgame? What's your group's angle? What are you preparing and training us for?"

She hoped that that would be good enough to squeeze some answers out of her and mentally prayed that she didn't waste her questions...

Ms. Tanya laughed a bit at Shiro's display. "Oh stop with the tall, dark, and scary act. I've seen Demons far scarier than you in your armor. As for your question of how you can trust me, its easy, just trust me. I can't give away too much, because no one likes spoilers~" She teased him. "Now then, take off that armor and sit back down, there's no point threatening me because without me, you'll all just die in the coming days without me and my knowledge and connections."

As for Gail's questions, she looked back at her and smiled as she replied in the same cheerful manner. "For your first question, I had to make sure that I got the correct students. Everyone has some degree of spiritual power residing in them. Most people's powers are so weak and minute that its not worth monitoring. You eight possess an incredible amount of hidden power within you, and thus were selected for this class. As for your second question, the endgame is to make sure that all of you have your powers and abilities trained and ready for anything. You never know what might be lurking in the darkness at night~" she teased her.

Karen, her sword now jammed into the floor next to her and sitting in her seat once more, was growing increasing angry with the 'teacher' "Who the hell do you think you are?! My family has centuries worth of accumulated knowledge on hunting slaying and sealing demons. Do you honestly think I need your supposed connections to do anything, let alone strike at the things that go 'bump in the night'." She snapped "That is assuming your 'connections' are even worthy of merit, if they have you collecting high-schoolers for battle they must be ether incompetent or not have access to people with the proper training." adding the last bit, mostly out of spite.

Despite herself, Lina couldn't help but stare as Shiro unleashed his power. Note to self, never piss that guy off. She thought. Another girl, Karen, who seemed to have some kind of energy projection power, stood up and began ranting about her family who apparently were demon slayers.

Mentally, she snorted. Well, look who has a high opinion of herself. I bet me and her aren;t going to get along well at all... Indeed, people like this got on Lina's nerves something fierce... the rest of her classmates seemed okay though, maybe she could give them a chance for once...

"You can't get rid of it, You were born with this power Cody, Its awakened now, and its not going away ever, I'm sorry."

Cody had been expecting this response but it hit him pretty hard nonetheless. Not having anything left to say, he slowly sunk back into his seat and stared at his gloved hands. He had never considered his life particularly normal, but being faced with the thought that he may never be able to take these gloves off again made him realize just how much he had taken for granted. He stayed lost in thought and barely paid attention to what was going on around him until Shiro's transformation snapped him back to the present.

He certainly looked imposing in that armor but Ms. Tanya didn't seem terribly impressed. Looks like I was right in assuming that Ms. Tanya wouldn't give us any powers that would pose a threat to her. Good thing I calmed down or I might have tried something similar. Not that my glowing hand is very intimidating.

And now that he was paying attention, he heard Ms. Tanya talking about teaching them to control their powers. "If I can't get rid of them... Maybe I could at least be able to turn them off so they don't suck the life out of me anymore! Though I can't ever see myself risking it with that black flame..." Cody muttered to himself before turning his attention back to Ms. Tanya.

He didn't like it, but if Ms. Tanya could help him get things back to as normal as possible then he would do anything she wanted.

Gail's eyes twitched for a moment, trying to understand what she just heard. She thought for a moment, scanning her words and making sure that she hadn't said them wrong or worse, saying a different word altogether. After a bit of deliberation, she assured herself that she did, in fact, word them correctly and that either Ms. Tanya didn't hear her correctly or she deliberatly avoided the questions. She could believe that Ms. Tanya misheard the first one, which she was fine with, that one wasn't her best work, but the second one was just her avoiding the question, she knew. She didn't believe that they were just doing all of this for so that they were ready for what could happen. There was a hidden goal, a specific conclusion that they were pushing to an undefined conflict or problem, as far as she could tell based on the wording of Ms. Tanya's answer.

She sighed and sat crosslegged on her desk as Karen talked. Right now, they were in a poker game, the eight of them vs Ms. Tanya, a mere representative for a larger player, and a number of unknown players to boot. At this point, she figured that they might as well wait it out, fold for this hand, and see what get's revealed...besides, not like they're getting any answers like this.

Ms. Tanya looked down at Karen and sighed a bit, shaking her head. "We know all about your family Karen, your lineage and even that demon Zorming-whatever its name is. Don't think you're the only ones with knowledge of the supernatural. We know far more about demons than your clan even can comprehend. So please try to remember that. We're not your enemies, so please don't try to label me wrong. I've tried to answer your questions to the best of my ability without giving away key secrets about the world you live in. I have a plan for you to come and meet with the leader of our agency tomorrow. I've already gotten the Principal's permission and everything for you all to miss school for the day." she explained to them all before hearing the school bell ringing.

DING DONG DANG DONG!

"Well, there's the bell. You all run home now and do...whatever it is you teenagers usually do." Ms. Tanya chirped. "Have a nice afternoon!" She smiled to them, seeming unphased by anything thatthey had done. "IF any of you run into anything weird or dangerous, don't be afraid to bring it up tomorrow in class." she smiles as she turns to collect her purse from the desk "Be safe you all~" she winked at them before disarming the barrier around the room, and opening the door to walk right out into the hall.

Sandbox mode engaged. In this mode, you have free reign of what you and your character can do. Go to the movies, play at the arcade, fap to something hot, if you can think of it, you go ahead and do it. I will advance the plot once i feel the need to, until then, just have a bit of fun with the rest of your fellow RPers.

He really didn't need her irritating tone combined with a total inability to explain or answer even the n simplest things. For a moment, Shiro considered going with his first instinct, which was to attack. Ms. Tanya was hardly building up any REASON to trust her. Just asking him to trust her anyway was like turning a blind eye and hoping for the best. Since his own experience with these things had hardly seemed the best, Shiro was decidedly a bit more cynical when it came to these things. Not belligerant, but certainly skeptical. The temperment in mind he was thinking for this teacher was - in english slang - a doofus. If he didn't think she was hiding way too much important information or at least failing to impart ANY of it, he would have just decided to ignore this. After her latest comment, Shiro had had enough with being talked down to like a child. He returned to normal and had this to say...

"I'm guessing this is your first assignment, because you really aren't good at this, Ms. Tanya."

His only other source of info in life regarding stuff like this had been much more informative, even in that woman's refusal to direcly assist him for now. And after a bit more commenting from her, the bell rang and they were allowed to go. Somehow, Shiro felt that this was not just going to be a long year, but a long LIFE. Somehow, that sort of situation almost made him prefer the times in which his life was at stake. At least he knew where he stood when a shadow literally tried to kill and eat him. It was very straightforward there, no confusion at all. The creature wanted him dead and he wanted that NOT. Now, all of a sudden, someone had invested time and effort into this power of his and he had to deal with...with this DITZ! Well, maybe she thought she was doing them a favor, but much like Saiga...he didn't like the way it sat with him.

Shiro wandered off and out of the school with his stuff. He headed for a local arcade, and once arrived...he felt that his frustrations needed to be taken out on a particularly gory and violent game.

Gail rolled her eyes in annoyance at Shiro and Ms. Tanya, scrambling off the desk and walking outside to get away from them as soon as the bell rang. Ms. Tanya obviously wasn't going to release any more information, she had made that annoyingly clear, and yet Shiro kept demanding more, even threatening to use force against the woman who had known about and activated most of their group's powers. Really, she was getting annoyed at both, Tanya acting like this was a game and Shiro tough act, both were grating on her. She was done with them for the day, maybe they'd improve tomorrow.

She wanted to walk around and calm herself down but she figured that she should wait til Cody and Jason came out so that she could apologize for running off quickly and see about getting her bag back, checking on the arm situations as well. She didn't have a destination in mind anyways, she just wanted to move...she didn't have a lot of places that she frequented anyways, preferring to walk around and discover new things instead.

"I'm guessing this is your first assignment, because you really aren't good at this, Ms. Tanya." Shiro said. Quinn was inclined to agree; but held her tongue. For the moment, annoying the woman with all the answers seemed a poor decision. Besides, since she was supposedly going to explain more tomorrow, all she had to do was wait.

Quinn got up as the bell rang, packed up calmly, and made her way into the hallway. She was about to make her way outside as well, but stopped and waited. She still had one more matter to deal with. She waited at the doorway for a few minutes until Karen emerged. When she did, Quinn raised her hand to draw her attention. "Hey Karen. I never go your answer at lunch; how do you want me to get you those books? I'd bring them to your place, but... well I'd rather not be there anytime soon. I could bring them to school but I'm not sure how you feel about magic books within reach of a certain pseudo-teacher." she said, gesturing toward the wall Ms. Tanya was behind with a movement of her head.

Ms Tanya seemed to be going out of her way to insult her family now, something that hardly sat well with her, but for now the hamfisted idiot was gone, and classes where over and Karen dispelled her sword and gauntlet, then collected her bag and books and exited the room, where she was greeted by Quinn, whom was asking about returning the books she stole "Oh, my apologies, I agree, until that mater of why you where attacked over simply confronted is settled it is for the best you stay away, as for bringing them here, where they would be around that woman, I wouldn't trust her with the toilet paper let alone books such as those." Karen thought a moment "I can ether accompany you to your place of residence and pick them up, or we can met some where else if do dislike the idea of me knowing where you live." Karen replied.

"Where they of any help though? You mentioned a demon living in the rosary you wear. Also, I must ask, has it tried to communicate with you at all?" Karen asked as the pair headed for the nearest exit.

"I can ether accompany you to your place of residence and pick them up, or we can met some where else if do dislike the idea of me knowing where you live." Karen said in response. Quinn mulled over the options for a few seconds before shrugging her shoulders. She doubted she'd be able to stay hidden from Karen's family for long anyway; may as well run with it.

"You can stop by my apartment; that's no problem." she said as she started to walk with Karen toward the exit. "Were they of any help though? You mentioned a demon living in the rosary you wear. Also, I must ask, has it tried to communicate with you at all?" Karen started asking, one question after another. Quinn had to stop her part way though just so she could hear the questions one at a time.

"They haven't helped one bit; I suppose that's Karma." she said with an air of defeat. "It doesn't help that I barely understand them, but what little I tried didn't seem to work. For now, the only thing that keeps it suppressed is wearing the cross." she finished; unsure of what else to say on the matter. It was at this point she'd reached the city bus stop. "As for communication... I can't be sure. It hasn't spoken with me directly if that's what you mean but... well I've been wearing it since I was just a little girl. I can't say anything about whether its wormed its way into my head or soul or whatever." she said, all offhandedly. She supposed that being afraid of all that would have been the natural response for her, but she'd been living with the thing so long there was no way to know one way or another. If it was manipulating her, she couldn't know or do anything about it so worrying did nothing.

It wasn't long before the bus arrived and the pair got aboard; it would be a few stops before they'd need to get off. "But enough about me any my religious problems; what about you? Must be nice with all that spirit training; I bet none of this threw you for a loop at all huh?"

Karen simply nodded, the fact it was silent could be considered a good thing, she knew that wasn't always the case but nothing about Quinn seemed off so she wasn't to worried at the moment. pretty soon the bus they'd been waiting for arrived and the pair boarded and headed to where ever it was Quinn lived.

"But enough about me any my religious problems; what about you? Must be nice with all that spirit training; I bet none of this threw you for a loop at all huh?" Quinn asked, likely hoping to divert the topic to something else. "Not really no, though what is surprising is the total and complete lack of subtlety and tact, it's like she doesn't care that she's sending people off to very likely die, or worse, at the hands of demons." Karen started, though oddly missing was the 'refined' tone she'd been using all day. "And I can't believe the nerve of that *****, who the hell does she think she is talking down to me about my family like that?" Karen paused a moment "Though honestly, I don't have much actual training in Spirit Arts, I got no real natural ability for the Spirit Energy it self, my brothers seem to have gotten all the talent in that department, but I was educated on such maters, as well as the history and ability's of the Dragon Armor that's now, finally, awake. So at the very least I do know things" As she continued she became how casual as she spoke, leaving much, but not all the 'noble' tone and mannerisms at the bus stop it seemed, for what ever reason Karen just felt comfortable enough around Quinn that she didn't feel the need to keep up the act.

The first thing Quinn noticed as Karen answered her question was the change in attitude. Where inside the school she'd spoken like proper lady, here she spoke openly and freely without reservation. And Quinn approved. She wasn't one to judge, but the constant "noble woman" had thrown her for a loop. Now. it was as a weight was lifted on the conversation. As a result, Quinn hung on every word; her curiosity getting the best of her.

"Not really no, though what is surprising is the total and complete lack of subtlety and tact, it's like she doesn't care that she's sending people off to very likely die, or worse, at the hands of demons." she said. Here, Quinn couldn't agree more. Spirit powers couldn't be common and she supposed that activating them always had to be done under great risk, but to do it in a school leaving their powers to awaken at random throughout the day seemed... rather WAS insanity. Either their "benefactors" were less-than friendly or they were desperate for spirit powered people. Either scenario wasn't good. Quinn voiced these concerns in reply after agreeing with her wholeheartedly.

"And I can't believe the nerve of that *****, who the hell does she think she is talking down to me about my family like that?" She continued. Here Quinn was somewhat less affirmative. "I agree she shouldn't be talking about you or your family that way. I can't say what I'd do if she'd brought up my dad. That said, I don't know what truth she may have said since my experience with the Draco family was... ahm... awkward to say the least." she said, rubbing her arm subconsciously where one of the guards had grazed her nearly a year ago.

Then came the shocker. "Though honestly, I don't have much actual training in Spirit Arts, I got no real natural ability for the Spirit Energy it self, my brothers seem to have gotten all the talent in that department, but I was educated on such maters, as well as the history and ability's of the Dragon Armor that's now, finally, awake. So at the very least I do know things" Quinn had just assumed Karen was a potent spirit user like the rest of the family. Worse, suddenly, Quinn was forced to do something she'd no expected to do in her lifetime; agree with Ms. Tanya on something. "I take it back. Your family sound like idiots. Clearly you've got plenty of potential if some evil organization is trying to recruit you. Besides that; isn't your armor some kind of powerful mystical artifact for killing demons? I can't imagine it just bonding with the first person it encountered; I'd think it'd be more... choosy I guess."

It was at that point, something occurred to Quinn. That armor was some kind of powerful artifact. There was no way a powerful artifact would just bond with some random person who came across it. If that were the case... then what made her "special" enough to bond with the Rosary?

It was an odd passing thought which would have likely gone deeper were it not for the need to get off the bus; they were at her stop.

Tempers were high as class let out with not a whole lot actually resolved and Cody wasn't entirely pleased with the outcome as well. However, Ms. Tanya had mentioned that they'd be going to meet her boss tomorrow which meant that they might finally get some real answers. But that left him with a lot of time to kill and not a lot to do really. Brett wouldn't be home until later tonight and he still wasn't too familiar with Danmour yet. "I suppose I should at least go buy some gloves that don't look quite as strange as these medical ones." He said to himself as he grabbed his backpack and headed for the door.

On his way out he noticed Gail who didn't seem to be up to anything in particular. Seeing her reminded Cody of how much of an idiot he must have sounded like earlier but he felt like he needed to see where the rest of their group stood, who knew if they'd need to band together against this organization or some other threat in the future after all, so he decided to try talking to her again. Maybe it would go better now that he had calmed down. "Hey Gail." He greeted her as he approached. "So.... What do you think of all this? Most of the others seemed pretty angry and consider Ms. Tanya to be our enemy, so I kinda want to see what you and some of the others thought."

"Hey Cody!" Gail said, happy that it didn't take long for him to appear. She wasn't suprised about the question he gave but she was suprised that he didn't seem upset or at least annoyed with their last meeting. Maybe he wasn't and she was just jumping to conclusions...but, better to say sorry anyways. But first, the question.

"Well...hm...the way that i'm looking at it...we really don't have enough information yet to decide if Ms. Tanya is on our side or not. I mean, yes, she gave us these bands to activate some dangerous powers but if she wanted to be malicious then i highly doubt that she would let us develop these powers in the first place, especially since i see no upside for her or her boss. I do believe that whoever she works for has use for us though, maybe as tools or weapons for some cause, hence my endgame question, so i can't say that she's working for our benefit but she's not actively working against us yet so...yeah.

"I will say though, i don't think she's as naive or stupid as Shiro thinks, whatever he ment by that last comment, and i don't think we have any choice but to listen to her. We're running around blind, you and i more so than Karen or Shiro, and even if we decided to attack her to get answers, i doubt that it would work. She activated these powers after all, and stared down Shiro, i think she has a plan or ability just for if we get uppity. Really, i just don't know, most of that is just assumption, i just don't think it's as clear cut as her being a fill blown enemy right now."

Gail finished dropping a wall of speculation onto Cody's head, not sure if she should feel like an idiot or not but still, she was just relieved to tell someone.

"Also...Cody, i'm sorry about shoving my way past in the hall and not fully listening to you. I didn't even take the time to comprehend anything after your power activating...i was just panicked over my own power activating and a wound that i could tell wasn't that bad so...sorry about that.", she said, trying to think back to what Cody had said in the hallway. She honestly couldn't remember anything but him being concerned about her wearing the bracelet, something that she was thankful for, even if the warning came slightly too late.

Cody was pleasantly surprised that Gail seemed almost glad to see him after their last encounter, but he quickly put that from his mind as he listened intently to her thoughts on their current situation. He was relieved to hear that she felt more or less the same way he did about things. The others were getting a bit too worked up about this, though that was understandable, and they needed to keep a level head and think things through logically to get the best out of all this.

It was even more surprising though when she apologized to him for brushing him off earlier. He hadn't really been angry at her about that since he was pretty sure he had sounded like an idiot at the time. But it made him feel better that he wasn't the only one who freaked out a bit over the whole ordeal.

He would acknowledge her apology in a bit though, the more serious matter needed to come first. "I think you have the right idea about all of this. I don't fully trust Ms. Tanya either. She hasn't been very forthcoming but she doesn't seem to have any bad intentions for us. I think tomorrow will be key since she'll be bringing us to meet her boss, but it's hard to say if he'll give us the whole story either. Unfortunately, I don't see much other choice. I can't keep living in fear of what happens if my gloves come off for too long. If I don't have to do anything too crazy to keep my power under control, I'll do it."

"It's the others I'm worried about. Karen and Shiro seem angry enough to take some serious action against Ms. Tanya. And I think you're absolutely right about what would happen if they tried to fight her. She didn't even blink when she saw any of our powers. If possible, I want to see if I can't calm them down a bit. I see where they're coming from, I almost went off on her myself, but things are gonna get ugly if it keeps up like this."

Cody paused briefly after all that, taking a moment to make sure he had said everything he wanted to. Things had gotten complex really fast, but Cody felt that he had gotten his point across well enough. "Oh, and uh... You don't need to apologize for earlier. I was pretty freaked out too. I'm usually pretty calm but my powers awakening really shook me up. I assumed I was the only one it had happened to and told you a bunch of stuff you already knew, so I can't really blame you for focusing on your own problems. So don't worry about it. Really. How's your hand by the way?" He asked, noticing that her hand was still bandaged up. She had said it wasn't that bad, but better to be safe than sorry.

"My hand's alright. Stings sometimes when i move it but i just take that as proof that it's healing. Thanks for asking. As for calming the others...i doubt that will work on Karen and Shiro. It just, something about them makes me think that they will just dismiss our attempts as us being naive, but if you think that you can calm them then i say we go for it, it won't hurt to try at least." Gail said, being somewhat pessimistic. She wasn't even sure why she was offering to help, as far as she went she figured that her reasoning would just piss them off more, like with most people she tried to reason with.

Still, might as well try to help. Worst case scenario, they get told off, something she was familiar with. She just needed to control her mouth so as not to start a fight if that happens. Again.

"So...when are you going to try and talk to them?"

Mentally grumbling to herself. Lina grabbed her bag and walked out of the classroom, still thinking about what Ms. Tanya had told them. Demons and mystical powers? It all sounded ridiculous... but after what Lina had seen... it was hard to tell what was rel anymore. (Though the fact she had openly dissed Little Miss High and Mighty made her like the teacher a bit And the fact that they would be able to basically miss school tomorrow helped too.)

In the mean time... now that Lina knew she could read minds, she actually was curious, what else could she do?

She got into her car, tuning on the radio out of habit, all the while still thinking.

The bus came to Quinn's stop and the pair got off and headed for her apartment "I take it back. Your family sound like idiots. Clearly you've got plenty of potential if some evil organization is trying to recruit you. Besides that; isn't your armor some kind of powerful mystical artifact for killing demons? I can't imagine it just bonding with the first person it encountered; I'd think it'd be more... choosy I guess." Quinn said in reply to her comment about not having much talent with Spirit Energy.

Karen snickered "That's for the vote of confidence, but it doesn't work like that." she started as they walked "As I understand it, the Armor was crafted to fill a need, specifically 'what to do with the many skilled warriors that could easily kill a demon if they had the Spiritual Power to do so'. So it was never actually meant for some one with vast reserves of Spirit Energy, it helps, but not as much as you'd think. So it's really little different then a sword or gun, in that it's 'just a weapon', it's just a weapon that only works on demons" Karen finishing as they reached Quinn's apartment.
