"Guess we should be optimistic." She replied to Adries, moving a strand of hair again.

"Hey. Hate to break up the mingling, but we'll be escorting to the cafeteria and to your rooms. If you're looking for food, go with Private Jacobs and if you want to get to your rooms go with Colonel Dewey." Christie stated loudly, gaining attention from the group.

They shared quick glances with each other before Adries went with Jacobs and Albert went with Dewey.
"Coming with? Or staying with my brother?" Adries asked Lisa, moving towards the door but standing a little away so she wasn't so close to Christie.

"I'll stay." Lisa answered giving a quick glance to Christie to gesture why to Adries.

Christie gave a quiet sigh, glaring slightly at the group, still disapproving of her new goals, leaning against the wall and switching the safety on and off on her rifle to give her something more to do.

Adries nodded, following the cheerful Jacobs as he led her to the cafeteria for dinner. She was originally nervous and untrusting of him, but slowly started to warm up to him. Albert on the other hand was silent on his way over to his room, giving Dewey a slight glare every time he tried to bring up a topic to discuss.

"I have to say I'm surprised you didn't kill us all," Alan said to Christie, "Though your playing with the safety is making me worry for...well my own."

Christie gave a smug smile, flicking it off again then facing them.
"Good. It saddens me to say that that's the best I can do for now, considering my orders. It's too bad, I was looking forward to well..." She stopped herself with a snicker before giving a brief look to Lisa then turning back to the gun.

A shiver ran up her spine from the laugh and the implied threat.
"Hilarious." Lisa replied sarcastically before leaning on the desk.
It figures that she'd be the one to stay behind. Taking into account that she's basically inhuman and sees no need for food or sleep. Freaking Robot.

"Glad to hear your still a crazy and psychotic *****," Alan muttered, turning over to Lisa.
"Anyways...How do you feel about this? It seems like a good deal right? We're safe, unless Christie here decides to go crazy that is. Honestly, I just want to get to work on the anti-virus. Or sleep. Or not have your sister listening in on everything we say and do."

"Sorry kiddo. Flattery won't win me over. Anyway do you honestly think I want to be babysitting right now?" Christie snapped.

Lisa rolled her eyes, deciding to attempt ignoring her.
"I'm happy with this deal, aside from the few obvious things that I could go without. I might catch some sleep in awhile. You definitely need your sleep though. I mean tomorrow you can start work. I still can't believe that it's possible." She replied, resting her head on her arm.

"Oh it is, though if we can't get a hold of my aunt's laptop there will be a lot more work," Alan replied, leaning over to Lisa and brushing some of her hair back, "Sorry but it was bugging me. Now that I think about it though I think I need a haircut. And probably a shave...the good thing about this is that we'll have access to a lot of things we didn't before. I think it's a good deal. I know Uncle Al wasn't really happy with it, but he just doesn't like the military anymore. Adries I can only assume will like it."

"That's true actually, we wouldn't have gotten access to a lot of things without this deal." Lisa agreed, blushing lightly "Maybe you can treat yourself to the shave and haircut tomorrow before you start work later on? At least access to essentials like food, water, sleep and showers are a given here. Kind of like Al's house. So, was Al in the military or something before? He seems to truly resent Kaufman and even being here."

"Yeah I'll probably do that tomorrow," Alan said, "Uncle Al was for a bit. I can't remember what his rank was, but he worked with my other uncle Max. From what I've been told Al had to take the fall for something Max did and has resented that ever since. No clue on the specifics though, so yeah that's what I'm assuming is the reason for his anger."

"He was kind of scary when he was angry. He has some serious skills when it comes to the survival stuff that Adries told me about, not to mention shooting. I'm not that surprised he had a sprint in the military." She replied, sitting up a touch then thinking of something with a frown.
"Do you think that they'd make us help out with the work while we're here?"

"Yeah he can be a bit scary. Don't piss him off that's for sure," Alan replied with a laugh, "You'll probably have to work. Forced to do it more than likely. You can just stay here and help the soldiers with paper cuts or help me out at all. As nice as Dr. Westin is I'd much prefer to have you keeping me healthy."

"Your wish is my command. Consider me as your private medic then-with the duty of making sure you're out of pain and healthy! Then If I get told to move onto paper cut duty, i'll turn them down." Lisa smiled, giving a mock bow and a laugh.

"Why thank you! I appreciate that. I do," Alan replied back cheerfully, about to continue before Adries walked in.

"Err...probably interrupting something but we're being told to go to our rooms," she said, pointing to Conroy telling Jacobs and Christie that.
"Aww. I guess that's fine though. I need sleep anyways. Night sis, tell Uncle Al good night too," Alan said, waving good bye to her. He leaned over to Lisa and gave her a kiss good night. "See you tomorrow."

((I'm going to go to bed. Night. ))

"G'night, see you in the morning." She said happily before being called by Jacobs to be shown to her room. Lisa followed saying goodnight to Adries who was along the hallway. entering the smallish bedroom and lying on her bed. Within a few minutes, she was almost asleep thinking over everything that had happened and how quickly the day had gone by. For the first time, in what felt like years since this had begun, she fell asleep in a good mood.

Adries awoke the next morning initially confused about where she was. 'Oh duh. Now I remember,' she thought, getting up out of bed. She yawned and looked outside her door. Jacobs was sitting outside, keeping watch of her, Lisa, and Albert.

"Hey, I'm awake and hungry," she told him, making him jump and fall off the chair.
"Oh...okay. Well once everyone wakes up I'll escort you. Oh, we have your trackers too. So you can put those on in a bit," Jacobs replied, picking up his chair.

Christie walked along the corridor, the boredom setting in, they'd each taken watch at different points throughout the night. She'd had roughly 4 hours of sleep and found herself unable to have any more. She had been at the firing range since sunup, then grabbing a cup of black coffee on the way back. Catching sight of Jacobs and Adries after lowering her cup from a sip.
"...Morning." She spoke placidly to them. She was never really a morning person, with or without sleep.

"Good morning ma'am I hope you're having a good morning," Jacobs said cheerfully, just as chipper as always. "I'm going to escort them to the cafeteria once they all wake up."

"Go bang on my uncle's door to get him up," Adries said from her room. Jacobs went over and knocked, jumping when Albert opened the door and yelled at him.
"I just want some sleep, but noooo! Gah, fine I'm up. I'm up!" he said tiredly, obviously showing he is not a morning person.

"It's 9am. Be thankful I didn't go through with my idea to get you all up at 5am and make you run laps." Christie spoke firmly to the door, before turning to the still surprised Private.
"My morning has been fine, thank you. I was 2 or 3 inches away from a perfect score at the firing range, I'll go back later perhaps to finish the score. You been on watch here long?"
