"Yes ma'am. The person before me had to go run errands, so I took his shift," Jacobs replied after calming down.
"Thank goodness you didn't wake us up at 5. I can barely wake up at 9 anymore. These zombies have sprouted some bad habits," Adries said as Jacobs opened up hers and Albert's cell. He then knocked on Lisa's door a few times.

"Ah. It's important to break bad habits Miss. Bixler. The laps would have woken you up just fine." Christie finished her coffee, looking for her lighter so she could have a cigarette.

Lisa covered her head with the pillow and groaned at the knocking, turning on the other side.
"Another 10 minutes..." She yawned reluctantly. She was far too warm and comfortable.

"Tch, I doubt it," Adries replied back to Christie.
"Do you guys want to wait ten minutes for Lisa or..?" Jacobs asked.
"Tell her to get her ass up! I'm hungry, and if we have to wake up now then so should she," Adries replied, pacing around to try and wake herself up.
"It's only fair," Albert said, taking a seat at Jacob's chair.

Jacobs turned back to Lisa's room, "Sorry, but they want you awake...like now."

A smirk hit Christie's face as she abandoned the search for the lighter. Instead she approached Lisa's room, pulled her rifle from her back and held it.
"I'll get her up." She said simply, waiting for Jacobs to unlock the cell door.

Jacobs looked at Christie's rifle, then back at her. He then opened the door and backed away.

She slowly stepped into the small room, keeping herself silent, making it until she was standing over Lisa. She moved the rifle and nudged the back of her head with the tip.

Lisa felt the nudge and turned over, her eyes met the end of the barrel, She let out a scream and sat up. Meeting the smugly grinning face of Christie.
"You're sick on so many levels! Get out!"
"You're lazy. Get up." She replied through her laughter before leaving her to get up. She gestured to the door before saying she'd be out in a minute.

Adries and Jacobs couldn't help but chuckle, immediately stopping after getting a glare from Lisa.
"Come on chop, chop!" Adries said, leaning against the wall and tapping her fingers, "I am hungry, so if that means I have to drag you out Lisa I will."
"No you won't," Albert replied.
"Yeah...well so what? If it makes her get out faster..."

"Fine, fine. I'm up. Jesus, is having a sleep-in day illegal or something?" Lisa replied before going back into the room for her shoes. her heart racing slightly.
"See. My methods might be unorthodox but they're damn effective." Christie noted, much more perked up now.
"I don't think i've wanted to punch you in the face as much as I want to now." She mumbled to her, walking out of her room, glowering at her sister.
Christie just laughed again even more pleased.

"Yes, yes it is. How dare you break the law by sleeping in!" Adries told Lisa as they started to head to the cafeteria.
"So today you guys can start working! Or atleast, I've been told that you're kinda going to be forced into it," Jacobs said suddenly, looking over at them.
"FFFFUUUUU-" Adries yelled, clearly not enthralled with the idea of working.
"I can like...clean guns and crap like that," Albert said reluctantly.

Lisa giggled a little at Adries through a yawn.
"Medical care. But, considering what kind of shape Alan is in, would it be possible for me to focus on his injuries? I've been treating him for a while plus that way you can cut back on the amount of people keeping an eye on us too." She asked Jacobs.

"He seemed pretty okay when we moved him to his lab earlier today," Jacobs said, "Then again we did most of the moving and he ordered us around; telling us where to put things and all that. He looks quite different now that he had his haircut."

"Speaking of which, can we get ours today? I think I really need one. I hate my when it gets past a certain length...and it's been past it for awhile," Adries said as they entered the cafeteria and lined up.
"Oh sure, no problem. I'll take you over there once we finish eating," Jacobs said.

"Is the food any good here? Not that I mind much, so long as it's edible." Lisa asked realizing how hungry she was after seeing the breakfast lineup and helping herself to some pancakes and looking over some strawberries.

"Actually, my compliments go to the chef. From what i tried yesterday, the food is more than edible." Christie nodded before leaving to get another cup of coffee.

"So, Is there anything else we have to do afterwards? Aside from make ourselves useful?" Lisa said taking a few of the strawberries then some melon and some juice to finish up her meal.

"Err...well not really. We can't really let you do much...just help out," Jacobs said, getting some pancakes.
"Oh no, now it might just be too boring here!" Adries said with a fake horror, getting a few muffins and some milk.
"I should have stayed at the cabin," Albert muttered, getting some coffee and taking a seat.

"Boredom is one of the things I would have thought of as stricken from existence now." She said unscrewing the cap of her juice and taking a sip.
"Psh. You've obviously never had to be on guard duty before. I considered switching with one of the prison guards just so things would be at least a little interesting." Christie responded, taking a seat.

"It can get kinda boring," Jacobs admitted, "But the good thing is that there will be a few missions that the general wants us to do. Like retrieving those notes..."

"Sounds great. Can we be apart of it?" Adries asked.
"Probably not. I think this is military personnel only," Jacobs replied, looking over at Captain Conroy when he came in the cafeteria.

"Here are your trackers," he said, tossing them three before leaving.
"He seems busy," Albert muttered.
"That's because he was the one whose planning the next mission," Jacobs said, handing everyone their tracker and making sure they put it on.

"Ah! That's more like it! I haven't the patience for this kind of work. Something to look forward to now, I suppose," Christie expressed her eagerness, "Any idea of when we ship out?"

Lisa looked at the tracker with a slight grimace. She didn't really like the idea of being tracked the entire time, but there was little she could say or do about it. Instead putting her eyes back to the breakfast.

Jack sat in his cell. All he could think about now was how he honestly no longer wanted to be a human. He had only seen greed and selfishness in a time of crisis, and he couldn't stand it anymore.

"Probably within the next few days. It all kinda depends. Alan has been trying to get it to start as soon as possible, but it's going to be a risky operation. Lots of planning involved," Jacobs replied, somewhat shocked at Christie's excitement for the mission.

"Well you guys have fun. We'll be here, doing mundane work...I mean really? What the hell am I supposed to do? I make artwork and that's about it," Adries said out loud, getting a few looks.
"Boy you're pretty much useless. Even I have more real-world skills than you," Albert told her, sitting back down after getting another cup of coffee.

"Chill out Adries...you're good with most people, why don't you help with orientation or something? What about teaching hot-wiring for dire situations? Hell, we're probably going to be assigned to a job and won't get much of a say." Lisa attempted to reassure her, but getting the feeling she was doing a bad job.

"Risky? This sounds more appealing the more I hear about it," Christie muttered with the same enthusiasm, downing the final drops of her coffee, "Well, there's always the firing range until then."

"Thanks Lisa," Adries said, "Orientation sounds easy and simple."

"Glad you find it appealing," Jacobs said, finishing up his meal, "Alright, so what do you guys want to do? Go get hair cuts? Try to find your new jobs?"
"Go back to my room and stay there?" Adries asked.
"Probably not," Jacobs replied.
"Drat, I'll take hair cut then."
