Lisa nodded, thinking for a moment.
"Considering that bed is out of the question...I suppose that i'll get a shower and go find a job. I don't think I need a haircut just yet."

"I'm not needed here, am I? Because if not, I'm going to see if there are any jobs going spare myself. I've honestly put that prison guard idea in mind for thought now there isn't much else to do." Christie asked, standing from the table and giving a stretch.

"You can go ma'am," Jacobs said, giving a quick salute. He turned to the group, "I'll show you where you'll want to go." He let them finish eating before they followed him to the armory, where he showed Albert the person in charge.
"This might just be fun," Albert said, looking at all the guns there with a glint in his eyes.

"Moving on," Jacobs said, leading Adries and Lisa to the civilian grooming area. "Here, you can take showers and cut hair and all that jazz. This is basically where the grooming takes place. And it's separated from the men's area, so it's good. Once you guys are done you can do what you want I guess."

With the salutes exchanged, Christie strolled over to the incarceration building. The main courtyard of the base wasn't too crowded but it seemed different to what it was like the other day. She entered, explaining to the main guard about her motives. He seemed skeptical but after thinking it over and confiscating everything aside her taser and knife then being told that she could keep an eye on the prisoners for a while. Content enough, Christie carried onto the cell block.

"This isn't too bad, right?" Lisa said to Adries after thanking Jacobs; starting into the grooming area. It was fairly big with areas segregating for different needs.

"You're right. It's not that bad," Adries said, walking over to the where she believed she could cut her hair, "I'll meet up with you in a bit. Then maybe we'll go say hi to my brother, then go to get jobs and crap like that. I'm really going to hate working..."

Jack sat on the floor in seiza after having eaten, he cracked one eye open when he heard voices. He recognized it was Christie, so he shut the eye again and went back to simply sitting there silently.

"Nothing we can do I'm afraid. Best to grin and bear for the time being. See you in a while." Lisa waved then going off into the shower area, she was surprised about how clean it was and that they had products ready in the stalls.
Huh. Seems they do actually care about the civilians.

She paced the corridors for a while. A lot of them were asleep still. After entering the second corridor, a few prisoners glared at her. She glared back; finishing the corridor and turning back. Christie reached the first few cells on the first corridor again. She noticed a certain prisoner, studying him for a while because of how he was sitting and the same smirk from earlier appeared.
"Hey there, Jack."

"Hello again. When you kill me, have the decency to make me into a zombie first. I don't want to be one of these things called humans anymore, though we are anything but." Jack said simply without opening his eyes and staying in the exact same position.

Adries had wet her hair and asked if anyone knew how to cut hair. Surprisingly a ton of people volunteered to cut it.
"Err...well thanks. Just...shorten it a bit I guess," Adries said, taking a seat and getting to cut. She had a nice conversation with the people around her, everyone was quite friendly. 'I have to say this is certainly a lot nicer than I thought. Heh, now that I thought that something horrible will happen...again,' she thought.

"Ah I'll consider it. Although i don't see why i should give you any choice in how you die, but I'll definitely consider it. Just because I'm that kind of girl. So what has you down, Jack? Humanity making you glum? Prison food not what you thought it'd be?" Christie asked in her usual patronizing tone.

It was about 45 minutes later when Lisa left, the shower had woken her up slightly and felt relaxed from the hot water. She waited just outside the grooming area for Adries after drying her hair.

"No, No, just sick of the greed and selfishness in the face of a worldwide crisis. Figure I would like to die as a zombie since they don't have any of those problems. Consider it a last request, I honestly don't care what you do, so long as I become a zombie before you finish me off." Jack said, his voice completely at peace.

Adries walked out a little after Lisa did, messing around with her short, pixie hair cut. "This would look better if my hair wasn't so wavy and if it didn't stick up so much," Adries explained, continuing to mess with it as they walked around.
"Wait, where is Alan at now? I don't think we were shown, were we?"

"Looks good Adries. Especially with your hair colour. Couldn't we just ask? I mean I'm sure someone would know where the lab is." Lisa pondered, tieing the sweater she'd been holding around her waist.

"Greed and selfishness? Huh. It seems now that it's the opposite lately in my eyes. But what would I know? I would have thought you of all people would be in an okay mood, since Bixler's working on that Anti-viral you were getting all pissed about so quickly." Christie stated almost like she was thinking aloud.

"He's probably doing it for some selfish reason, and I couldn't care less. Everyone worth saving is already dead, those that tried to help others are already zombies or had been shot by those they tried to help. Before I forget, Kaufman is actually a Bixler, so this whole save the civilians thing is bs. He knew sooner or later the Bixlers would want to be saved, and they would come to him, the rogue element. He's just like every other Bixler, using others to get what they want." Jack responded calmly.

"I can't blame you though, you are better than all of them." Jack spat the word "You at least admit you are self-serving. You and your sister seem like the only genuine people left. Two sides of the same honest coin. Guess if I'm to die, it should be someone who embodies something I respect."

((I dunno if I ever explained this (though I probably meant to), Kaufman is Alan's and Adries' mom's brother. He's not technically a Bixler (only related by marriage), so he can still get infected and all that jazz. ))

"True," Adries said, randomly running up to a few soldiers and asking them. They told her they didn't know what she was talking about and quickly walked away.
"We need to find Jacobs again or something. Or we can have fun and try to find it ourselves. Do I smell adventure time?" Adries asked with a new found vigor.

((Going to beddy-by. Night, night everyone. Also, won't be on very much tomorrow. Sorry.))

"A charmer even as you give your final words, eh? I'm not entirely won over by the Bixler's, then again we aren't exactly 'friendly' are we? I'm here for my own reasons, not any form of real alliance. Hell, the only alliance i would die for is my own and possibly a few of these other military personnel-since they saved me. In a way, I would say that I respect you. You've seemed one of the most competent people I've met since this started, not to mention you stick to your guns. Doesn't mean I like you any better though." Christie spoke with a laugh before fishing out a cigarette packet and offering one to him, "One for the road. So to speak."

"Ah, Well running around aimlessly on a military base does sound pretty tempting. Let me try one more person, then if we get a bad answer we'll find him on our own." Lisa joked, going towards the clinic.

Jack turned down the cigarette.

"Never picked up the habit, always thought it would kill me. Besides, you should enjoy them while they last. With the world becoming infected, cigarettes will be impossible to find sooner or later." Jack chuckled a bit as he spoke.

"As I said, you're honest." he stressed the word you're "I respect you and your sister for that trait. It seems to be becoming rarer and rarer, but I think we can agree we aren't about to start fan clubs for each other. Loyalty seems to be another rare one, and one on a personal level I guess I lack, but ideologically I never gave up on until it became clear there was nothing left to save. Just remember my last request and we'll call it one for the road. Some want a cigarette or a last meal, I just wish to join that which will lead the new world order. Humanity will die, and I would like to be ahead of the curve, so to speak." Jack said as he stood up and looked her straight in the eyes.

"If you plan on taking me now, I'd prefer to walk out of here. I'm sure killing me in a cage or unconscious would be no fun for you anyway."

"Now you're starting to understand me. Consider your final request accepted." Christie spoke seriously putting the cigarettes back, then thinking over how she'd pull this off, She continued with a heavy sigh as the cogs in her mind turned,

"Although, I can't believe you just reminded me that cigarettes will eventually disappear. It's the only thing keeping me from murdering any one i meet. Maybe that will come in handy soon though...Ha. Now i think about it, we both seem to crave that 'new world order'. Too bad it seems our ideas will clash along the way."

"Glad to see I still understand something useful in this world. I don't know enough to plan something out, but I'm sure you can figure out something when my death is on the line. It will be you or a Bixler, and I'd prefer it be you than one of them. It seems that my new world order is winning though. The infection is now all over the planet, and I'm sure it is overwhelming them as much as it is us if not more so. Humanity will soon go from predator to prey, with the Bixlers being the last vestiges of us all. Now I think you see why I want to be one of them, die as a zombie or die praying for protection from a Bixler, I'll take the zombie. Better undead than kissing the boots of that family." He spat out them and Bixler again.

"Well, I do my job with pride. I will figure something out." She joked, "It's only a matter of time. The Bixler's won't give me the anti-viral. That's a fact. So I plan on getting the power i've wanted, one way or another, until i become infected in some way or my luck decides to do a roll on me and i end up bleeding again." She explained, getting somewhere with a plan in her mind then hitting a wall.

"I'm going to contemplate how we're going to do this then. If you want to be infected then I need to get my hands on a strain and i'll be back to issue out what i feel i deserve. You'll get what you want. I get what I want."

"You're the one making the final decision, so whatever you come up with is fine by me as long as I stop being a human before I die."
