"Knowing my brother he'll be completely set up," Adries replied, finding a ladder over in the backyard. She motioned them to follow her as she lined it up to a second story window. She climbed up and opened it, telling everyone to follow.

"Of course Alan doesn't bother to help me in," she says to them, keeping the ladder steady for everyone, "I made sure we came into a guest bedroom. No point in going into my room or anything."

"Want me to stay down here, keep a lookout?" Hayley said, standing next to the ladder and looking up at the window.

All of the supplies were loaded up in the van. Charles had also loaded up a duffle bag of cloths for himself and set it in the van. Afterwards he loaded up a bag of dog food, a pillow and a couple of toys and had Rosie sit next to him in the front seat.

"Alright girl, lets go to school." he said to the pug

"Nah, it's pretty safe. The zombies seem to have not even bothered to get this far," Adries replied, opening the guest bedroom door and walking down the stairs. She immediately knew where her brother would be; in the office. What she didn't expect was that all four of Bixler family computers being on the office desk, with Alan sitting in front of them all.

"Crap, you moved all this? And you brought in your mini-fridge? How does this all get powered?" she asked, Alan not once looking at her.
"Simple. I made a generator. I mean, I have to go on that bike in the corner for, like, an hour to get it charged up but it's no big deal," he replied, his face transfixed on the screens in front of him. Alan was tall, wearing a blue and red Euro tracksuit. He had short, curly black hair, and thin beard and small, half-rimmed glasses.

((Night))

Jack whistled as he walked down.

"Name's Jack Fletcher, physics teacher and one of the leaders of this rag tag group along with your sister. I wish we could have met under better circumstances. Have you found anything out about where this thing has started, who's caused it, or what's the current plan is to take care of it?"

Lisa climbed followed through, almost tripping over a wire. The headache was persisting again, she considered how long it had been before she had her last dosage and she thought she was safe. For a while, she had been considering everything that Jack had said about family. She had to know though. It would haunt her otherwise, she needed a moment of safety.
Adries' brother doesn't look much like her. She thought when she caught sight of him.
She smiled and extenended a hand.
"Lisa Bailey. Nice to meet you. I hope you don't think it as rude, but do you happen to have any painkillers?"

Alan shook both their hands and looked around the cluttered desk for a moment before handing Lisa some aspirin.

"Hope that helps," he says, before turning back to the screen. He was silent for a few moments before saying, "Well, from what I've been told this all happened in one quick swoop. Everyone infected started to turn at the exact same time, and the theory goes that it is man-made due to that fact. There are debates going on about what the trigger was, and who caused it blah blah. As of now the government is in shambles trying to fix everything. They aren't giving out much info. However after a few hours I was able to hack in and see some details.

Mainly that there is no cure and the military is assigned to take out all zombies. I did hear some stories that some of the infected are getting stronger...like, transforming. They showed some pretty cool photos."

"So it wasn't hard to sniff you guys out and run after you... So.. What are we looking for"?

"Thanks." She said swollowing a few then returning them.
Lisa jumped when she saw Ryan, aiming her shotgun then lowering it.
"Oh, you're up? How are you feeling? You passed out, any memories returning?" She asked, confused as to how his transformations worked.
"This is Adries' house, this is her brother, we're travellling to our homes to pick supplies and/or survivors. Do you have any recollection of where you used to live? We can stop by your home if you want?"

"Whoah," Alan said, looking at Ryan. "I guess this kinda confirms the stories of people changing. Interesting."

"Not that much. Arthur changed into something crazy and tried to kill us all," Adries said.
"That's Arthur for you," responded Alan.
"Any news on the family?"
"Dad called yesterday from the station. They seemingly have a huge barricade going on and are trying to deal with a massive horde. I haven't heard back, but I can only assume it's due to him being busy. Mom gave an emergency news report around the same time. The news station hasn't aired anything since."

Ivan pulled himself through the window. he saw Alan's jaw drop as he straightened up to his full height. "Not suprising," He thought to himself. "After all, I probably look like a human tank." "Hello, friendly neighborhood explosives expert, at your service." He said.

Lisa laughed at Ivan and found herself looking around the office. She caught sight of a few family pictures on a bookshelf beside her. She saw a picture of a younger Adries and her brother both holding rifles and smiling, Lisa guessed that it was taken during a visit to their uncle.
A few others were scattered on the shelf including a picture of their parents. They looked sucsessful and happy. It made her smile too for some reason.

"So, is this what you've been doing your whole time?" Adries asked, pulling up a chair and taking a seat next to him.

"Basically. I first boarded everything up, then brought all the computers into the office. I then made a generator to keep the power going," he said as he pointed to a generator with a bike next to it, "Hey at least I get exercise. I only have to ride the bike for an hour or so anyways. Not that bad. Let's see, then I moved the mini fridge in here, stocking it up with delicious frozen delights. Then I lit up and have just been seeing what's going on."

"All in all not much going on," he added, opening up a can of soda and clicking a few times on the mouse.

"So you wouldn't want to come with us then? Considering how good you've got it here?" Lisa asked him, folding her arms and leaning back a little.

"Wait, you guys were actually planning on going somewhere? I thought you were here to stay. I was going to throw a party and I invited all your friends! However, none could make it because they are fucking zombies!" Alan said, the sheer amount of sarcasm causing Adries to facepalm.

"Dammit, Alan. Now is not the time for this! We came here to see if my family is here. And you are family so we're taking you back to school!" Adries replied.
"Oh no! Not the dreaded school! Oh whoa is me!" Alan replied, laughing, "Just chill. You mean Sly High right? Hah, high. I'll go along, but it would take me awhile to unplug and move everything. No real point in staying here. I was starting to get a bit bored. I can only have so much fun being high without having a tv show to watch or a game to play."

Adries facepalmed again.

He's high... She blinked.
"Well, I'm sure we can transport the most important parts. We can't keep climbing in and out of the guestroom window. It's really safe at the school. You can bring your fridge if you want too. If you really need to we can probably come back and get whatever is left behind." Lisa offered, smirking slightly at the facepalm.
"Was there anything else you planned on getting Adries?"

"We'll only need to bring the computers. The fridge can stay, the teachers have a few here and there," Adries replied, getting up and heading out of the room, "Going to get some of my clothes and other stuff. Be right back."

Alan started to rapidly type on the keyboard, telling everyone who he was chatting with hat he'd be back. He then turned off all the monitors and got to work unplugging everything. "I think I'll take the bike. Oh, I should also get dad's machete. That'd make a good weapon," he muttered, wrapping up all the wires.

Adries came back after a few minutes, wearing a black military jacket, some black boots, and some camo pants. "Makes me look more badass. And it's better than what I was wearing."

"Nice." Lisa commented, she took the monitor and held it carefully. Starting to head back towards the guest room she called,
"What do you mean by bike? Like a motorbike?"

Charles had been driving around for a few hours, even though he was close to the school, he knew a car made a lot of noise and didn't want to wake up any zombies.

After a few hours he finally parked his van in the schools parking lot.

"Ready to see your new Rosie?" he asked the pug, she simply tilted her head Scooby Doo style and blinked

"Good enough for me" he thought

"No, bike bike." Alan replied, pointing to his bike in the corner. He started to pocket things on his desk, "Glasses case, left pocket. 'Fuck Communism' lighter, right pocket. Mouse, left pocket. Granola bar, right pocket. Illegal things, right pocket. Gum, left pocket."

That continued for a few minutes before he finally grabbed his bike, the machete, and a laptop. Adries picked up two computers and made her way to the guest room before stopping. "You know what, let's just open the front door. It's easier," she said, setting everything down and breaking the barricade on the door.
