Zombie High! Survival RP (Started)

"To an extent, yes. They will be socially inept because of the decreased size of their frontal lobe, but cognitive thought and some ability to censor themselves will return. They can not and never will be their old selves, but they can create new lives from the ashes. Between a reactivation of the frontal lobe and the Wernicles area which controls understanding and comprehension they can become what humans would have classified as damn near normal. I will act as a guiding force, keeping their sentience from degrading and perhaps stepping in from time to time to nudge them in a proper direction to better themselves.

I would like to have JD on my side as well, but he has to make his own decisions and find his own way. I'm not about to make such a decision for him, it would go against everything I'm after, he will hopefully find his own way to me in time. His powers would surely be useful in the rebuilding process that will need to occur after this is over to save the cities of the world. The leapers on the other hand, they may not be much faster, but they are much more capable of acrobatics. Their ability to leap and coordinate to continue their motions after a fall or jump are heavily increased. They didn't gain much new momentum, but they can definitely keep it up for much longer." Jack explained.

"That's...amazing." Christie thought aloud about the possibility of the zombies regaining sentience, she shook her head and continued, "He'll find his way, he'll find there's little choice after a while. If things work out and he fully changes, he'll be left behind or taken out by the group."
She thought about how JD had ripped that shambler's head clean off telekinetically.
"He definitely has potential."

"For once, I hope you are right Christie." Jack said as he took a seat at the conference table himself.

"He probably won't act as a soldier though. He is far too young emotionally and his personal feelings for the group will create much conflict and turmoil for him. With the sheer amount of necessity he carries for rebuilding, I cannot afford to have him conflicted over what he had done to former friends. Besides, between the scorcher, slagger, the horde, and myself we have all the troops we shall need. With all the ways they think they can defeat us now, they may very well become like Macbeth and be overconfident in the battle or battles to come."

"Of course he won't be able to cope. Especially since he seems to have come attached to the group. Can't underestimate them though. They've come this far unscathed to a fatal extent. We shouldn't get too cocky either, even if it's obvious who has the upper hand." Christie reminded.

"Don't worry, I know first hand of how dangerous they all can be. Why do you think in every action I have made sure to have power and numbers far exceeding their own? In fact, once I know where Alan is, I plan on turning this entire city into a deserted shell as I move the entirety of the horde to his location. If I do anything of the survivors it is overestimate them. I hope to use all their beliefs about me and my horde to my advantage in future encounters. They probably still think I honestly care about the notes. I have become more concerned with the horde, the notes act as a history. A history which can be recreated from the broken data already in the city and the country. It won't have all the specifics of compound A mixed Compound B equals compound C, but it will be enough that the events can be pieced together. There are many changes I have undergone since I had to lead the zombies." Jack said as he leaned back in the chair.

"Changes for the better?" Christie smirked, giving a gesture to her stitched abdomen, "I'll say you're as strategic as you were before."

"I don't know whether to thank you for the compliment or apologize for the bullet wound."Jack matched with a smirk of his own.

"The strategy has changed because it needed to. Fighting guerrilla battles with the survivors is pointless as we did long ago. We now fight with a more roman strategy, almost matching the allies in world war II. Keep the line moving, and attack with superiority of numbers, abilities, and equipment. Luckily logistics are now unnecessary for us, as the horde does not eat, drink, or sleep. I can have as many zombies march as I so choose for as long as I so choose and there is never a problem until we meet the enemy in battle. Generals would have killed for this ability for their own, I won the military lottery as it were. For that I am always thankful."

"Both would have been acceptable." Christie chuckled.
"No morale boosting or disease either. You've essentially got the perfect platoons. Gotta say that I'm rather jealous. Not to mention that they'll follow your orders without denial."

"Yes, but I still prefer to perform a small amount of psychological warfare on my enemies. Scare them first, then attack. I'm also not fond of giving them pointless orders just because I can. Unless I'm not bothering to supervise them at the moment, every zombie has a purpose behind every action. Good to know I can make the experienced soldier jealous though. That is a very high compliment in my book, and here I thought you hated me with every fiber of your being. All because I just won't die, but who knows, maybe there was something for that. Only time can tell." Jack replied.

"Oh, I still hate you, doesn't mean I can't respect you though, right? Even if you won't stay fucking dead. You're the one person who has shot me and liv-kind of lived to tell the tale." Christie added.
"Main reason why I'm jealous? You have a fully functioning, near perfect squad. The one thing I used to pride myself on a month or so ago and you've outdone them without even trying."

"Well I'm glad to see you haven't changed too much. The only reason I have such a force right now is because of the virus and my power. I am far more jealous of you. You took humans, with all their weaknesses and made them a force to rival my own now. You did it through hard work, not some ability you inherently had. That is far more enviable than my power." Jack said.

"Heh. Well, you flatter me...I'm going to miss my old platoons. You've got my men in your army now though probably. I'd say treat them well, but they aren't the same men I trained." Christie confessed with a shrug.

"Believe me, I try to treat them well. They may not be your troops anymore, but they are my species now. My people, for lack of a better term, are my foremost concern. Now, what can you tell me about where Alan is, I'd like to know that much before we continue our chat."

"It seems that Alan, his sister and Lisa planned ahead for the separation. I however, came prepared. I noticed something was going on." Christie started to explain, pulling out her GPS.

"Please, you enjoy causing trouble! Why else would you have agreed to all these adventures?" Adries asked cheerfully, checking her pistol for the fourth time before putting it away. They continued their walk for another hour through a small forest before seeing the city in view.

Adries paused for a moment, going behind a tree and getting out some binoculars. "Holy shit," she muttered, "That town has people! Shit that place is barricaded up! Fuck, Lisa this could be our lucky day!"

"Beautiful. Now, we will need to make the dragnet rather large in case the current location is not their hideout, but they wouldn't go too far. I would also recommend observation for a few day to see if they are still traveling or if they have reached their destination or not. It might even tell us where they are or close to it if we are vigilant enough." Jack said as he had a map of the area brought into the room by a leaper with a protractor, pencil, and marker.

"Ahh the classical tools of my field. You have no idea how good it feels to have them on hand again. Now to have some notebooks brought in for calculations and time markings." Jack said as he got the marker out and ready over the map.

"Now the first set of coordinates is?"

"I can give you the exact location of Lisa. Where they are exactly and why is a good question and I think that observation is recommended. " Christie muttered before tapping the GPS and showing over the marker on the screen with the coordinates noted underneath.

"What? Don't play games, Adries." Lisa laughed at the joke before taking the binoculars and taking a look for herself, she brightened up.
"You weren't kidding! Oh fuck. I can't believe it!"

"Yes!" Adries cheered happily, making her way down the hill to the small town. She slowed down when she got close to the town, making herself known to the guardsmen. She turned to Lisa, "Well, let's check this place out." They were stopped by a few guardsmen who looked ecstatic that something interesting was happening.

"New people are always welcomed," one of them said, "Haven't had anyone for a good month though. Only zombies nowadays."
"Glad we could break that record," Adries replied, letting them see inside her bag.

Meanwhile...

JD and the crew searched through the small village, frustratingly kicking up dust with every step. It was completely vacant. the buildings looked hollow, dusty, and rundown. The streets were empty and bare. There was no sign of human life here. JD held his face disappointedly. They attempted looting the small location, but could only conjure some rotten food, a few dropped coins, and a rodent infestation.

"Well, as it turns out, there's nothing here. No Adries, no Alan, no Lisa, no nothing. They must've stopped the train here to throw Mr. Fletcher off their trail in case he were to come after them. " JD said, a despaired look on his face.

After a brief silence, he trudged back towards the vehicle.

"Lets just stay near the train. Maybe they'll come back, or something..." He said quietly, frowning.

"I'm glad you agree. If the black ops soldier agrees with my plan of action then I must be doing something right." Jack joked as he waited. He genuinely smiled for the first time in a long time as he leaned over the map. He was finally back to doing what he loved for a short time, he hoped it would last longer than he knew it would.
