Yeah sure. I doubt she'd play an MMO though... She needs action and time pressure. She's logged over 6000 games on Warcraft III RoC/TFT. The grind in an MMO would turn her right off.

How many platformers hide stuff behind you at the start of a level. You drop down and you can go happily the direction suggested. Or you can turn around, and sure enough, there are goodies there.

I've been gaming for at least 30 years. Still not bored. You just need to find the games that still hold your interest. For me that's currently EVE, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, and Quake 3 (Capture Strike mod).

I bought a 60 GB PS3 in Feb 2007. Only problem I had was two defective SIXAXIS controllers. Now I have 4 DS3s, so it's not an issue anymore.

EVE requires less of a time committment due to offline skill training. That's why I stay in. It tolerates my 4-5 hour a week play style. WoW doesn't because you don't level fast enough to keep up with your friends if you don't play much.

I don't like having to unlock abilities in multiplayer games. I'm a Quake 3 Capture Strike veteran, so I'm accustomed to strict balancing in my FPSs. If it were a method to make sure new players aren't overwhelmed with learning the system and didn't take long to open everything, find. But...
